I am still doing weights and spinning with slow parkrun. Definitely slowing down but hope to keep it going as I managed with my older two. I've just taken the impact out.

@NAJ13 I've always thought I'd only carry boys for some reason, the logistics are going to be pretty challenging

@dunkedbiscuit my boys will be 5 and 6 when their bro arrives. I thought I couldn't have any more so had given away all the baby stuff...

dunkedbiscuit · 01/02/2023 20:56

I dug out my ‘activewear’ for todays gym outing and I definitely won’t fit in it for much longer.
now you mention it @habiller im still mentally in the hide the bump with baggy layers mindset but think I’d prob look and feel better for wearing some things more fitted / bump revealing. I hadn’t realised I was doing it until you asked!

new look had quite a lot on sale recently and have a maternity section? I got lots second hand on marketplace last time which worked well

@Coffeeforlife they will be at lovely ages to want to help out 🥰 my little boy will be 4.5, hoping I can teach him to bring mummy the biscuits 😂

Coffeeforlife · 01/02/2023 21:07

@dunkedbiscuit you haven't met my sons, their idea of helping is pretty aggressive! I see you've found us on Facebook, it's a lovely supportive group over there :-) x

rach971 · 01/02/2023 21:13

@dunkedbiscuit I feel so lazy after reading all of this haha but I don't exercise, ever 🙈 I'm on my feet all day at work but that's as far as it goes. I get out of breath just running up the stairs, exercise really just isn't for me 😂

Not really wearing any bump revealing clothes yet because I'm constantly cold, so I live in jumpers. But once the weather starts getting hotter and I'm more pregnant, I'll get some maternity t-shirts etc

SkyBlue20 · 01/02/2023 22:01

I’m doing my regular Pilates class once a week and will start some prenatal yoga soon but other than that, I’m hardly moving! I WFH so it’s really hard to actually get much movement in - my commute used to do wonders!

As @rach971 says, I’m mainly in jumpers at the mo but I think will move to more bump hugging stuff eventually. I still think it just looks like I’ve eaten a bit too much but remember from my last pregnancy there’s definitely a point where it becomes more flattering to wear tight things as baggy things just end up making you look huge. I’m not a figure hugging clothing wearer usually so found it very weird! DREADING Summer, I hate Summer dressing at the best of times, never mind heavily pregnant 😖

Rutennotou · 01/02/2023 22:57

Not me reading about people still exercising when I'm eating a slice of cake and a white chocolate cream egg 😂😂

We have a house viewing on Saturday, we need a bigger house before baby girl comes. It looks really nice and I'd like something sorted before I resemble a whale 🐋.

Finally ordered a pregnancy pillow, will arrive tomorrow. My back is sore tonight so I can't wait to get it.

pizzawinecake · 01/02/2023 23:02

I just ordered a pillow too. Went big for the bbhugme and wondering whether it's insane to spend that much on a pillow.

Exercise wise- nada. I've been overly cautious about taking it easy. But have started doing some YouTube prenatal yoga the past couple of days (I used to practice every day pre IVF so have been really really missing it) and it's helped as all my muscles feel super tight at the moment.

SkyBlue20 · 01/02/2023 23:03

😂 I like your style @Rutennotou (and how good are the white chocolate creme eggs!!) I’m pretty sure I was eating a cookie and some ice cream as I wrote my answer. I’m still eating for England (well, Europe) and mainly a load of junk food, I must stop!

good luck with the house viewing, got my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏼

RandomCatGenerator · 01/02/2023 23:05

@pizzawinecake is there a YouTube channel you’d recommend?

OP posts:
pizzawinecake · 01/02/2023 23:11

@RandomCatGenerator - there is one that comes up loads. Pregnancy and postpartum tv channel seems pretty good- I've done a few. there was one routine I did today called prenatal yoga with Lara Dutta (I think she used to be miss universe and a Bollywood actress) but it was incredibly good and a full body stretch (I'm a qualified yoga teacher (non teaching) so I'm pretty picky about my classes). I was thinking I may try and do it a few times a week

rach971 · 01/02/2023 23:13

I haven't got a pregnancy pillow, but I did get a v-pillow for about £8 in Home Bargains and it's soooo comfy.

@Rutennotou I've been sat here eating cookies 😂 Good luck with the house. We're renting a two bedroom flat but I have an 8 year old daughter so we also need somewhere bigger ideally. It's just the cost 😫 And where we are now is in such a lovely place, it'll be a shame to move really.

Wow so many boys!! Congrats everyone!
Has anyone else still been experiencing cramping? I’m getting it most days - I’m not sure if this is as it’s baby no 4 and my muscles are just shot and stretching everywhere 🤣
also finally starting to feel some movements which has been lovely!

RandomCatGenerator · 02/02/2023 11:46

Im another looking to move house before the birth. Nothing like trying to pack all life’s most stressful experiences into six months eh?! We have a small two bed flat and already have an 18 month old, and it’s just not big enough. But I love DS’s nursery and we have a great church nearby which DH is a warden of, which has meant we’ve a better community around us than I’ve ever felt before in London. And a safe friendly cul de sac for my beautiful but not very wise cat who has no car sense. And outstanding primary schools nearby…

BUT it’s not big enough and drives me insane because of it. So the search goes on.

May I ask in general terms where you all are based? I’m in west London.

@rach971 I have cautiously begun to purchase a few items of pregnancy clothing as I am a bit overweight anyway and was feeling rubbish about how I looked in baggy clothes.

I’ve got a work-appropriate dress, a black tie dress and a super stretchy skirt from Seraphine that will both work when I’m not pregnant too, and I’m very pleased with them. They have an outlet part of their website which I’m using. The clothes do feel high quality but I balk at spending £80 on clothes I may only use for 6 months. Although I love the black tie dress and did spend full price - it’s neck to knee all over sequins!

OP posts:
RandomCatGenerator · 02/02/2023 11:50

Oh, and Seraphine leggings - would not recommend, get baggy very easily.

Would recommend M and S maternity tights.

OP posts:
BackOfTheMum5net · 02/02/2023 12:26

@RandomCatGenerator I was wondering if maternity tights were a thing - mine are starting to dig in!

Ballygowenwater · 02/02/2023 12:52

Im back wearing my 6yr old maternity tights. I love them, they were Falkes so pricey but still going strong and very worth it, although we now have cats who are really putting them to the test.

babybrainfart · 02/02/2023 13:20

I'm pretty tall and find the new look curve tights work well to now fit my growing bump. I'm also trying to buy a new house and move before bubba arrives. We have fallen in love with one, but they rejected our first offer, we had done another offer, but no word yet. I think they are expecting too much for the house and it needs work doing, but it is empty as the lady passed away and has been on the market since May.

bubble55 · 02/02/2023 13:25

@Rutennotou we also have a house viewing Saturday - fingers crossed for us both!

SkyBlue20 · 02/02/2023 13:41

Eeeek so many of you looking to move - good luck with it all! We moved last Summer and are in the middle of renovations at the moment, we've had to move out for a couple of months while the work is being done. Should be back in by April and then have quite a big job to get the baby's room sorted before they arrive (I know they won't use it for a while but I need somewhere for their clothes and also just don't want to be worrying about it with a newborn and a toddler!)

I got myself some Love Leggings the other day - LIVED in the pair I had in my last pregnancy (even though I don't really wear leggings in non-pregnant life), so treated myself to a new pair. Otherwise, I think I'm going to use Vinted for bits I might need, I just can't bring myself to spend a fortune on maternity clothes when this is my last pregnancy so I won't even get to wear them again! We were in lockdown last time I was pregnant so hardly bought anything then either so not much I can wear from then.

Nadinya · 02/02/2023 15:35

@RandomCatGenerator We put an offer on a house last week that got accepted. Now the scary process and hoping that everything is going to go properly before the exchange is set haha

Rutennotou · 02/02/2023 16:27

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! Hope house viewings go well for all of you too!

Yes, white chocolate cream eggs are better than the original ones 😋

Have horrific lower back pain today. I'm on antibiotics for a UTI since Monday but I don't think it's that causing the pain. Feel it radiating into my hips now too. I had problems in my last pregnancy with pain and this is so much so it being UTI related would be the lesser of two evils.
