Creating a new thread as we’re about to finish the first - just as we finish our first trimesters!

@MamaSJ15 @SkyBlue20 Me too!!! Im currently obsessed with Dairy Milk Daim but any chocolate will do lol! Also spend a lot of time dreaming about pizzas, pastas, toasties, crisps and popcorn lol

RandomCatGenerator · 25/01/2023 17:41

Mmm, Dairy Milk Daim 🤤 Toasties 🤤 Spaghetti 🤤

@RandomCatGenerator my bump is definitely not just baby related either… 🙊

MamaSJ15 · 25/01/2023 19:55

Haha so glad I'm not the only one! Oh definitely not just baby related! I'm sure I get bigger throughout the day 😂
I went off all chocolate through the first trimester (not sure if this was my illnesses related or pregnancy) but I'm definitely back on it now haha!

squirrelnutkins1 · 25/01/2023 20:12

I'm the same, all the beige food!!! I don't dare weigh myself!!!

rach971 · 25/01/2023 21:59

@Getinajollymood I've just started wearing maternity jeans to work today. Couldn't fasten the button on my others 😂 It's weird because in my first pregnancy I never wore any maternity clothes at all. But my god are these new jeans comfy!

@MamaSJ15 I'm so glad you said this because I've been feeling so guilty for all the rubbish I've been eating. I've been trying to eat well for my main meals, but I snack so much on chocolate and crisps and junk 🙈 I don't really eat fruit, I only like it in smoothies so I've been trying to drink those too.

Rutennotou · 25/01/2023 22:24

I'm also guilty of eating all the crap! 😂 Mostly savoury stuff, crisps etc. I've went off chocolate but couldn't get enough of it in my last pregnancy.

I think my bump has had a growth spurt. It has been quite painful today. I'm also having a sharp, shooting pain in my lower back on the left hand side. I had a lot of issues with pains in my hips and sciatica last time so guess that's gonna happen again 😔

RandomCatGenerator · 25/01/2023 22:26

Can anyone recommend good maternity leggings or trousers?

OP posts:
BackOfTheMum5net · 25/01/2023 22:46

@RandomCatGenerator I've raided the Dorothy Perkin's website for trousers- they just happen to be on sale too!

Is it your first @habiller ? I think I was about 18 weeks with ds. I’m 15 + 1 and felt some flutters yesterday but not 100% sure it was the baby. I definitely felt more connected with ds when he started moving. It’s nice, but tiring as it’s harder to sleep!

rach971 · 26/01/2023 09:09

@RandomCatGenerator My work jeans are H&M and they're SO comfy and stretchy. Got them on Vinted, barely worn, they're in fab condition and only cost me £1.50 + £2.29 postage. Think I'll be buying all my stuff on there tbh 😂

@habiller I was about 22 weeks when I felt first movements with my daughter (anterior placenta)!
I thought I felt some waves a few days ago but nothing since, I’m still only 13+6 though so early days - though I’m willing it to be soon with it being my second and having a posterior placenta, too. Absolutely with you on wanting the reassurance, it’s so lovely when you start feeling them 🥰 Hope it happens soon for you!

I second this! I got myself a pair of maternity H&M jeggings off Vinted and they are sooo comfy! I can't bare the thought of spending £££ on something that won't be worn long

squirrelnutkins1 · 26/01/2023 13:04

@habiller yeah with my first I was 20 or so weeks. This time much earlier but then I've not felt them for a while which is giving me anxiety 🙈
Got my gender scan tomorrow at 16+1 x

MamaSJ15 · 26/01/2023 13:16

Yeah I was quite far along too the first time before feeling anything. This time I think I'm starting to feel tiny flutters but nothing really obvious yet and I'm 15+1

BackOfTheMum5net · 26/01/2023 14:55

Glad it’s not just me… 16 weeks along and I convinced myself I felt my first popping the other night. A few minutes later I realised it was trapped wind 😊

@squirrelnutkins1 good luck for tomorrow! 🥰 I’ve got mine next Wednesday I’ll be 16+1 and i can’t wait! X

littlepeanuthopes · 26/01/2023 18:32

Sorry for the random question - are gender scans private? I assume they aren't part of the NHS? Thank you x

candycrush789 · 26/01/2023 18:34

Ladies I have felt a tickle/itchy feeling on the inside of my stomach below my belly button? Could this be my baby? 🥰 this is my 3rd baby x

squirrelnutkins1 · 26/01/2023 19:32

@habiller @candycrush789 will do thank you xx

@littlepeanuthopes This is private. You can find out at 20 weeks on the nhs 🤍

Rutennotou · 26/01/2023 23:36

@squirrelnutkins1 Good luck tomorrow!

@candycrush789 Aww it could be 🥰

@habiller I am 15+1 today and I'm 100% sure I've started feeling baby move as of yesterday! This is my first so I have nothing to compare to but I've felt it in the same place in my stomach yesterday and today, to me it feels almost like when you get a twitch in your eyelid or along those lines rather than butterflies. Very strange feeling but lovely to feel, surprised to be feeling it this early but going by knowing what having gas, etc feels like it does feel different to anything I've ever felt myself 😊

I’m 17 weeks and I haven’t felt anything yet. Not sure what’s normal as this is my first. Still not showing much but sometimes look a bit bloated. Just over 2 weeks until my next scan (NHS, not had any private scans). I can’t wait!
