@PinkPink1 I think the usual is anywhere between 16 and 24 weeks or something along those lines? Will differ for everyone, I don't feel it everyday at the moment, just little bits every so often. Oh you're lucky your next scan is so soon! I feel like I have ages to wait for my next one as not til the 1st March

Oh fair enough! My next scan will be when I’m 19 1/2 weeks pregnant and the second NHS scan is usually around 20 weeks. I can’t wait!

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today, and got to hear the baby's heartbeat! I had not realised this was happening today, so it was a lovely surprise. And very reassuring. She said I could make extra appointments with her to listen to the heartbeat if I was worried, so that's good to know. And she let me record it, which is a weird bit of video to have!

rach971 · 27/01/2023 18:57

@squirrelnutkins1 How did your gender scan go? I've got mine next weekend at 15+1 ☺️

@BackOfTheMum5net What a lovely midwife 🥹🥹

squirrelnutkins1 · 27/01/2023 18:59

As we guessed.... a boy!

rach971 · 27/01/2023 19:02

@squirrelnutkins1 Ah fantastic! I'd really like a boy, but I feel like it's a girl. We shall see!

squirrelnutkins1 · 27/01/2023 19:12

I feel like I have absolutely no clue about boys! They gave us a freaky 4d scan pic, I really don't like them 😂

Rutennotou · 27/01/2023 23:05

@squirrelnutkins1 Congratulations! 😁

Took DD to soft play today and then for food and some kiddie rides in an arcade near me. OH went in with her in soft play but we did so much walking, my lower back and hips are in agony. Tired her out though, she was standing at the bottom of the stairs rattling the stairs gate to get to bed at 6:45pm 😂😂

Hi ladies, a bit late but I’d love to join you all. Due 7/7 with baby #4! You’d think that with this being my fourth pregnancy id be old hat but my youngest dc is 11 so theres a big gap!
currently trying to convince Dp to find out what we’re having but he is firmly team green and I know If I find out I’ll end up blabbing!!!

rach971 · 28/01/2023 11:42

Woke up the last two nights and had a weird tight feeling in my stomach. Almost like a contraction kind of tightening, but with no pain or anything. Thinking maybe I'm just uncomfy in my sleep I'm not sure. Weird that it's only happened at night.

Mummy2Girls22 · 28/01/2023 20:40

@rach971 I have had this the last few mornings my belly goes all tight and I can feel the baby bunched up at one side of my stomach, tends to be if I'm laid on my side for a while then move onto my back 🥰

MamaSJ15 · 28/01/2023 20:42

@rach971 @Mummy2Girls22 could be Braxton Hicks? The tightenings sound like it could be. How long does it last?

Mummy2Girls22 · 28/01/2023 20:46

@MamaSJ15 I couldn't say as it's only something I have noticed when I wake up in the last few days, I'm a side sleeper so asoon as I move to my back I can see where the baby is laid then my belly soon goes back to normal. I didn't get Braxton Hicks until near the end with my 2 daughters ☺️

Losti121623 · 28/01/2023 21:46

Congrats @squirrelnutkins1 on your baby boy news! We had a scan yesterday & saw baby in 4D, it was a little freaky I must admit. But also found out that after two boys we are now having a baby girl! Still in shock I think 😅

squirrelnutkins1 · 28/01/2023 21:47

@Losti121623 aww lovely news! Congrats!!! X

Losti121623 · 28/01/2023 21:51

Aww thank you, makes it all seem that little more real now I think 😊

@habiller My midwife said not to worry about avoiding back sleeping until 20 weeks as the weight is insufficient to do any damage. I’m a side sleeper anyway but panicked to wake up on my back a few times!

MamaSJ15 · 29/01/2023 09:13

@Mummy2Girls22 ahh right, it does sound like it though. I got them a lot towards the end last time too. But I've recently learned that they can start very early on!

Rutennotou · 29/01/2023 09:27

@habiller I had terrible hip pain in my last pregnancy, really feel for you. I still stayed off my back in later pregnancy as much as possible but had very broken sleep as I had to keep turning. Hope you get some relief soon x

Have a UTI 🫠 Of course its on a weekend when I can't get anything for it.

pizzawinecake · 29/01/2023 09:51

Hip pain when sleeping - tick
Awful nights sleep and keep waking up on back- tick
Uti (well I think it's BV)- tick

Happy Sunday

nicc1000 · 29/01/2023 14:01

My hips have started clicking going up stairs which is a nice development.
