@JB2021 ahhhh that’s so weird! We have done Dishley quite a few times!!
We didn’t get to parkrun this week but can’t say I was too upset as all the reports said the different courses were so muddy and wet!
Yes he’s a runner too, far more natural at it than me, I make it look difficult and he just glides along 🙄😂
I think my baby is up to 17 parkruns including marshalling and tail walking.

JB2021 · 15/01/2023 21:59

@Blocklynn so lovely to see other people running! My pace has slowed a lot!!!!! Already eyed up my running buggy for when baby is 6 months and currently looking at carriers from newborn.

Found a local buggy fit class too - Beacon Hill!

@Franklin321 @TeddyBeans thank you both for your comments!
I wonder if they will let me book a section for closer to my due date but if I go into natural labour can I ask them to leave me alone and let me get on with it 😂.
I'm classed as high risk this time also I see the consultant every 2 weeks to check baby's heart due to my autoimmune disease (Sjögren's syndrome which can cause fetal heart block) and then the midwives every Wednesday for the Doppler to listen to baby's heart. I've also been sent a letter to see fetal cardiologist on 1st of feb but from what I know everything is fine so not really sure why I'm seeing him.
Obviously if there was any risk to the baby I'd go section no problem I'd never put him at risk 🙌

You can absolutely ask that. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can change your mind at any point regarding any procedure during labour and there's nothing they can do to stop you. Obviously it's a different ballgame if it becomes a life or death situation but you've got a sensible head on your shoulders - your last statement makes that clear as day ❤️

Lovely bump pic!
I just feel like I look as though Ive got a deflated tyre tbh around the bottom of my stomach- Had this for years. Slight rounded bump above it though- Im 30weeks.
I dont feel Ive had a lovely round bump with any of my pregnancies (5x total), I just look like Ive a massive beer gut....!
I am finding it harder getting out bed and bending down ect though, Im so tired too, all the time- Not sleeping well. Ive no motivation to exercise ect.

Room4onemore · 16/01/2023 00:38

@Eastybaby19 im with you on the induction. I’ve been induced 3 times my first induction I was 36+3 and omg I had never felt pain like it and I had had 4 baby’s before naturally. I was crying it was horrid and as you say baby wasn’t ready to come and my body wasn’t ready. The next 2 we’re induced on my due date and that was so much better as my body was ready and I was only pushing for 5 mins and 3 minutes.

I was in triage on Friday due to reduced movements and she was on yesterday but im still not happy so I may ring again tomorrow and see what they say

firstlittleone · 16/01/2023 04:44

Is anyone else conscious about what side they are sleeping on? Whether it be left or right?

TeddyBeans · 16/01/2023 07:41

@firstlittleone nope, as long as it's not your back or your tummy then you're fine 😊 I think left is marginally better for blood supply but can't remember for sure off the top of my head

I find myself swapping sides throughout the night as my hips Hury after too long on one side. I do occasionally wake up on my back which worries me as I've no idea how long I've been like that!

Eastybaby19 · 16/01/2023 08:46

Thanks again @TeddyBeans! I think that's exactly what I'll do plan a section but hope I go myself and if it ends up in section then ok know I'll of tried my best!

@Room4onemore good to know the closer to due date induction was a bit better!!
If you ring triage hope u get sorted you'll worry all day of you don't 🙏

TeddyBeans · 16/01/2023 09:27

@ChristmasJumpers I find if I'm laying on my back it becomes incredibly uncomfortable very quickly so you'll probably find it's a couple of minutes max. Although I wouldn't be too worried, I spent the majority of my last labour (over 24 hours) laying flat on my back and not a single word was said by any of the hospital staff 🤷‍♀️

Dreamingof3 · 16/01/2023 09:32

@Eastybaby19 I'm also having this dilemma!

I have booked a section for after my due date, with the hope that I go into natural labour beforehand. It's all your choice! I wouldn't have another induction, and my consultant said they wouldn't offer one 😂 (2 previous sections) But im also really over pregnancy and it's getting more and more tempting to bring the section forward 😅

Eastybaby19 · 16/01/2023 10:34

@Dreamingof3 it's such a hard decision isn't it! I think I'll ask them to book a section as close to due date as they allow! Then from 37.5 weeks I'll do everything I can to kick start labour myself 🤣🙏.
In my trust if you have 2 sections then u have to have a section after that not allowed to do natural so that's playing in my mind too even tho I'd say we are done after this baby!

firstlittleone · 16/01/2023 11:06

@TeddyBeans @ChristmasJumpers ah thank you. At my last midwife appointment she worried me and said to try sleep mainly on my left side which I’m really struggling to do! I’m normally a back sleeper but managed to get comfy on my right side and now she’s scared me!

beatingheartbaby · 16/01/2023 11:07

I keep having dreams about sleeping on my back as I miss it haha and then I wake up on my back so then just have to switch onto my side. I'm up every 1.5-2 hours anyway so I figure I'm probs not on my back for too long at least

Deut28 · 16/01/2023 11:07

Any FTM on here I hope we haven't terrified you about induction! I was induced at 39 weeks and, though not a total picnic, I had a vaginal birth on just gas and air. Induction does carry higher chances of intervention/ending in a section, but it doesn't mean it absolutely will do. I was adamant that I didn't want an epidural and I didn't.

havanamama · 16/01/2023 11:27

Sleeping - a U-shaped pregnancy pillow has been amazing for keeping me on my side.
I typically change side every 2-2.5h when I go for a wee.

This weekend we did an early spring clean and a sort out. Feels so good to be ticking things off the to do list before baby is here!

I've also finished all my pregnancy/baby podcasts, and we have our last antenatal course this week, and babymoon next week.

This week I'm writing everyone's birthday cards and Easter cards, etc so it's out of the way for the year.

So far we are on track to have everything done in January, so February can be for dates and relaxing as a family of 2 🥰

TeddyBeans · 16/01/2023 11:28

@firstlittleone I spent the majority of my first pregnancy sleeping on my right side and DS was absolutely fine, please don't worry about it 😊

Agreed! My induction was painful but I didn't need any further interventions (forceps, episiotomy etc) over the pain relief. If DD's birth is similar to DS's then I'll be perfectly happy with my lot! However your baby arrives, it'll be worth it ❤️

DD has hiccups again 😂 after complaining a few weeks ago that I hadn't felt any she's had them basically daily. It's practically the only thing DP can feel because she hides away from him at any other time but she can't stop herself from hiccuping! I think it frustrates her a bit though because I usually get a massive amount of wriggling after a while, like she's trying to fight them off. My poor sausage 🥰

Scan and consultant appt went well, baby is weighing approx 4lbs9oz but has gone from the cephalic position to footling breech! So if any mamma's have some hints and tips how to get baby to go back head down between now and my 36 weeks appt I'd be greatful 🤞🤞🤞

TeddyBeans · 16/01/2023 11:36

@allthingssparkly spinning babies website! Glad everything else was well for you 😊

I’ve got my 32 weeks growth scan and consultant follow up tomorrow morning then I’m having my living floor re done on Wednesday morning and I need to repaint my bedroom. Got to pick some storage units up for baby’s clothes and the pushchair. Then give the snuz pod a good clean. Hopefully the weather picks up so I can wash some baby clothes

beatingheartbaby · 16/01/2023 12:01

@TeddyBeans we are the same, any time my partner goes to feel her she stops haha so he's felt a few times when she has hiccups too

Perexi · 16/01/2023 12:32

I'll be honest I'm mildly terrified by an early induction after thing's I've read the last few weeks! 😂 still basically not thinking about it until I know if I have to have a c section or not as on my consultant phone appointment she seemed to think as long as he was big enough we should try to bring on an early labour.

Had a doctor's appointment today to try and get something for the heartburn which I can hopefully pick up later.

I think they used to recommend left side sleeping but now its just side sleeping from what I have read. In general though left side sleeping is better (for everyone) for your liver and drainage but I'd try not too worry too much.

Cuppasoupmonster · 16/01/2023 12:47

Please don’t worry about early induction! The main thing is that it can take a couple of days, so that can be a bit boring and tiring because they wake you up all hours of the night to do obs. If you’ve got a well packed bag, and make a fuss about having proper pain relief from the word go, it’ll be fine. I was so nervous about mine and convinced it would end in EMCS, but it was fine 😊

Perexi, any placenta news from your end..? Got my scan tomorrow, I’m so nervous I feel a bit sick. I’m so desperate for this pregnancy to have a smooth ending because the first half was rough as anything. Please let it have moved 😭 I feel a good birth and swift recovery will rebalance me after my hyperemesis hell and amnio…

Took DD to the pharmacy today and she insisted on choosing some dummies for her baby bro so thinking it’s settling in now. She’s also practising rocking her doll in the baby swing 😂
