Here’s a new thread for the upcoming new year.

I think we’ve got all due dates covered now but newbies are still of course most welcome. We’re a friendly, chatty bunch so do feel free to join in.

@AnnieApple123 that's surprising actually, oh well I'd best stop hoping it won't hit me then hadnt I just in case 😅

Hope it continues to keep away for you x

jollydollyirl · 29/12/2022 22:29

@arcenciel2022 I realise I didn’t reply to you on the last thread! When do you (or any others here) intend to stop taking baby aspirin?

jollydollyirl · 29/12/2022 22:30

Thanks @CityKity for your reply! That’s a great tip about not tracking pregnancy runs!

I am still in need of any sickness remedies I have spoke to the Dr 3 times had cyclezine which wouldn't stay down and didn't even touch the sides so she gave me omeprazole in case it was the indigestion/heartburn making me sick and this week has done nothing at all either I've been sick every single day for 17 days now with today being the worst with a total of 11 times it's so draining and everytime I close my eyes I just feel like I'm drunk the room spins and I need to be sick again

UsernameNotPresent · 30/12/2022 02:42

@Loudmouth1 that sounds awful. Keep pestering them. Ondansetron seems to work when other pills don't. Can you keep fluids down?

froglou · 30/12/2022 07:27

Without sounding dense, the Facebook group - is it super private? I want to join but I don't want it to pop up that I've joined on my bosses Facebook feed 🤣

PumpkinEverything · 30/12/2022 08:08

@froglou yes it’s private 😊 shouldn’t pop up for anyone!

LMM91x · 30/12/2022 08:39

Guys another mini meltdown I need some reassurance with- I’ve seen it many times but just want to hear it again if you don’t mind!! My boobs din’t hurt as much last two days 😭!!! I know these things fluctuate but can I get some reassurance pls!! I’m just over 7 on scan 8 on LMP! xxx

Cat1424 · 30/12/2022 08:51

Anyone got any suggestions for sickness/ nausea? After worrying my symptoms had reduced a lot, I woke up this morning feeling sick as a dog!

Cat1424 · 30/12/2022 08:52

@LMM91x Try not to worry too much! I’m about the same timescales as you and I’ve had a few days this last week where I’ve felt totally normal and wondered if I’m even still pregnant and then today I’ve woke up again with huge boobs and nausea/ sickness for the first time. Things seem to come in waves so try not to worry.

Mulner88 · 30/12/2022 09:09

@LMM91x I'm 8+5 ish and over the past few days, my boobs have become less sore and this panics me too. I think it's normal though from what I read...like they were super sore and almost feel back to normal. Nipples are a bit sensitive but that's it. Plus I read that they should have grown by now and mine are still the same now that the soreness has gone? But I'm trying to keep positive and not read too much into it.

Loudmouth1 · 30/12/2022 09:13

@UsernameNotPresent I'll ring my Dr again today or ask the midwife got my booking appointment today I can barely keep fluids down it has to be icy cold and just water or flat lemonade but even that's a struggle I've explained that too them just made to feel I'm being dramatic 😂

Mulner88 · 30/12/2022 09:32

@Loudmouth1 that sounds awful! Hopefully you get the medication you need to make it better 🤞🏼

LMM91x · 30/12/2022 09:48

Thanks girls … I’m still throwing up so swings and roundabouts I guess 👀🤣 xx

VickiGo · 30/12/2022 09:49

@Cat1424 I've found extra strong mints help with nausea for me x

Mulner88 · 30/12/2022 10:28

Has anyone still not got a date for their 12 week scan? I haven't and wondering who do I contact to chase this up??

VickiGo · 30/12/2022 10:29

@Mulner88 I haven't had an appointment through for the 12 week scan, but I do have my booking appt on 3rd January, so around the 9 week mark for me

LMM91x · 30/12/2022 10:31

@Mulner88 nope I’ve heard bloody nothing also! Coming up to a month. When I self referred I got given a log in and I can ‘chat’ with the midwife team for any non urgent queries and they said they were just dealing with a lot of referrals and I’ll have a call between 8-12 weeks. Just hitting 8 by LMP anyway so expecting a call soon, will chase up if nothing next week. I’m in Essex z

ChloeN · 30/12/2022 10:31

@Mulner88 me either, I’m guessing Ill get it after the first midwife appt, mines 3rd jan too and I’ll be 10 weeks, so I guess my scan might end up being late too?

Mulner88 · 30/12/2022 10:33

@VickiGo thank you. Yeh I had my booking app about 2 weeks ago. She asked if I had a date for my 12 week scan and I said not yet, but she just said I should hear soon. I'll be 9 weeks in a couple days and don't know how to chase this up. Maybe I'm just being really impatient 😂

Mulner88 · 30/12/2022 10:34

@ChloeN @LMM91x okay least I'm not the only one 😂

LMM91x · 30/12/2022 10:35

@Mulner88 @ChloeN i’ve not even heard re booking appt so you guys are ahead of me 🤣

MidnightSunshine12 · 30/12/2022 10:41

I have been so worried because I haven't had consistent nausea or any sickness, but have felt very queasy for the past two days and now I'm thinking to myself "be careful what you wish for"!

Wrenegade · 30/12/2022 10:45

Morning all, is it ok if I join? I’ve been lurking since thread one but only just felt confident enough to join. I’m due August 17th (7 weeks +1 today). I’m wondering how many people have had contact with MW yet? I’m not due to hear for another five weeks apparently.

@Loudmouth1 @Cat1424 I share in your suffering, I’m on day 12 of being constantly nauseous and being sick up to 10 times a day. I was prescribed Prochlorperazine yesterday because I was extremely dehydrated, it helped me to keep a meal down for the first time but still feeling awful today. I’m going to try out the acupuncture bands today. I have found it really helpful when DH brings me dry toast in bed before I get up. I feel like each day the food or drink my body accepts changes, such a rollercoaster!
