Hi all,
obvs still very early days. I’m currently 4+4 and just trying to enjoy it really. Just wondering if anyone wanted to join me to share early symptoms, how you’re managing to hide symptoms, how you’ll reveal your pregnancy to loved ones etc. and all the other bits and bobs on this journey 🄰

@Soopyjoopy Oh wow, that's amazing ā¤ļø How many weeks are you x

Owlgirl14 · 03/02/2023 10:09

And thanks everyone, will get my flu jab booked in as starting to go into the office again from next week.

Just not sure on the covid one as haven't had any so far as was really poorly when they were being given and knew my body couldn't cope. Also had covid last March/April so should have some antibodies although the strains do keep changing. But it will soon be Spring and so cases should drop.

Soopyjoopy · 03/02/2023 10:17

@Owlgirl14
I thought 10 weeks, she hovered between 10 +3 and 10 + 4 and settled for 10+4 x

Owlgirl14 · 03/02/2023 10:51

@Soopyjoopy That's great news if you're measuring ahead!

I've got my 12 week scan mid feb, can't wait! Hoping there is only one little bean in there šŸ˜…

DandelionPockets · 03/02/2023 11:13

@Soopyjoopy Amazing! Look at it!! ā¤ļø

allgoodthings84 · 03/02/2023 13:27

@Owlgirl14 oooo yea I forgot you don’t know yet if there’s only one or more. I was really worried about twins but when I was having my private scan I didn’t even think about it until she said it’s a singleton. I was too engrossed in watching its heartbeat

Owlgirl14 · 03/02/2023 13:42

@allgoodthings84 My hubby is a twin so of course it's on my mind even though I know that won't affect me. And I read chances of twins increase once you're 35+

Twins would be cute but super hard work!

Soopyjoopy · 03/02/2023 14:46

@Owlgirl14
Ha, I'm thinking now that I'm 11 weeks today according to scans!!

I wanted to tell people at 12 weeks but now I may wait until my dating scan which is in 2.5 weeks, I'll be about 13 + 2, it feels like a lifetime away currently!!

@DandelionPockets
Was amazing, did that thing where they pushed off the uterus wall with those teeny legs throwing itself around

allgoodthings84 · 03/02/2023 14:50

@Owlgirl14 they say it skips a generation so fingers crossed for you. My Nan had twins so in our family too and I’m 38 but luckily just the one as we couldn’t afford childcare for 2 so was a relief ha ha

Owlgirl14 · 03/02/2023 16:16

@allgoodthings84 Yes fingers crossed for just the one! I was thinking of all the costs, everything would be double 😳

But I've always said if I ever have kids it will happen to me first time and it'll be twins. So I'm half way there already šŸ™ˆ

@Soopyjoopy Wow it's so hard to believe that something so small is moving around in there and kicking it's little legs. It is all very fascinating. My husband keeps asking me if there are any updates and I check on the app each day to see what's developing etc.

allgoodthings84 · 03/02/2023 16:37

I’m really looking forward to feeling the movements. It’s strange knowing a human is growing in there kicking and wriggling but can’t feel it yet. I had an anterior placenta with my daughter so didn’t feel much for ages.

Londongirl87 · 03/02/2023 18:19

Hi everyone! Day 4 of flu here and I am balancing rest / drinking lots of water / paracetamol to keep the fever as low as possible.
I called 111 today as I was really worried about it not getting better but they said that there is not much else to do unfortunately, and to go to A&E only if the symptoms get much worse.
I have a scan next Thursday for our NIPT and I am so scared that the flu might have had any bad effect on the baby…

@Soopyjoopy I love the video you shared!

@Owlgirl14 Fingers crossed that there is only 1!

@allgoodthings84 Same here, I think it will help making things feel more real too!

Caitlin47 · 03/02/2023 22:18

How is everyone doing?
Here, starting week 12 tomorrow, and finally seeing the end of this first trimester! I have my 12 weeks scan on the 20th of February.

We also had a scan last Sunday for our NIPT Harmony test which we did privately, where we got to see our little blob jumping around, it was amazing!

Now waiting for the results of the tests and I must say I am a bit anxious, but trying to stay calm. The wait is the worst!

Soopyjoopy · 27/01/2023 12:30

There is a fb group (private of course) for any new members wanting to join?)

I have my 12 week scan on the 20th. I should be 12 +5. When is yours? Mine is 9.25 am. I'm nervous about the scan but also the 1.5 litres of water they expect me to drink an hour before and hold until my scan. They were running 40 minutes behind last pregnancy and I honestly thought I was going to pee in the waiting room..

Londongirl87 · 09/02/2023 18:59

@unluckyinlife Mine is at 12! And omg yes i am dreading having to wait with a full bladder if they run late… i didn’t even think about this!

For those not in the FB group, we just got our Harmony results, all perfect, very low risk (less than 1/10.000) and we are expecting a baby girl šŸ’•

unluckyinlife · 09/02/2023 19:16

@Londongirl87 I'm glad your results came back with good news. Amazing about you having a baby girl! Is this your first? I have one of each so I'm not finding out this time.

I when I saw my early scan I had a feeling it was a boy but my pregnancy is just like my daughters so I genuinely have no idea! Xx

Londongirl87 · 09/02/2023 20:03

@unluckyinlife Yes it is my first ā˜ŗļø

Mummy2B1983 · 09/02/2023 21:25

@Babybear12 Hiya! I am also week 10 tomorrow and have been experiencing the same symptoms! Period cramps in the beginning then feels like they are back. It's like a pulling feeling! I also googled as I was worried but I think it's just because it's all growing! Have you had any morning sickness? I haven't had any touch wood so far!! Just sore boobs! X

Mummy2B1983 · 09/02/2023 21:27

@Soopyjoopy are you able to share the fb link again? It's not working. :)
