I've got the sexiest block of Brie staring at me.. there's no way hell I'm ruining it with cooking it :(

Alexandra07 · 25/12/2022 21:25

Bad news for me today, not the best Christmas... I went to a&e, a miscarriage was confirmed. 5 days ago scan showed everything was ok. Bleeding started 6 days ago and yesterday it was clear something was wrong. I am 41, so the chances are not on my favour.
I hope I can join another "due in 2023" group soon. A new year ahead, a new start.
Wishing you all the best! xx

AnnieApple123 · 25/12/2022 21:26

So glad it went well @blondebanana .

That’s so frustrating @sally16 . I had some non-alcoholic mulled wine earlier. It was right next to a bottle of alcoholic mulled wine though and I kept getting myself all paranoid that they’d got mixed-up and I could taste something. Rather spoiled the experience!

AnnieApple123 · 25/12/2022 21:34

Oh @Alexandra07 I’m so awfully sorry. What a day for it to happen too. I really hope that you can join another due date group soon too. Do come back and let us know, won’t you? Lots of love to you. ❤️

UsernameNotPresent · 25/12/2022 21:54

@Alexandra07 I am really sorry to hear that. Please look after yourself. Warmest hugs and the best wishes your way. Xxx

UsernameNotPresent · 25/12/2022 22:06

How is everyone's Christmas going?
I actually really enjoyed it today. Nothing extravagant, just being at home. Little human is now just old enough to be excited about it, and it was great.
We are going away for few days tomorrow, so I think I overdid it a bit in getting everything packed, sorting out the house, doing all the laundry, sorting out the plants etc. Now having some dull cramps in lower belly, so I think I will be taking it really easy for the foreseeable.

mamabeeboo · 25/12/2022 23:15

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I can't believe next year's Christmas we will all have a little one with us! ❤️

BCxx · 25/12/2022 23:31

@Alexandra07 crappiest of crappy christmasses. Im so sorry for your loss. Please remember to be kind to yourself in this difficult time xx

PumpkinEverything · 27/12/2022 08:19

I’m so sorry @Alexandra07 😔 absolutely horrible at the best of times, but awful that it was on Christmas Day too. I hope you’re as okay as you can be. Cry as much as you need to and try to keep talking about it to let you process it if you can, I found that was one of the things that helped me ♥️

AnnieApple123 · 27/12/2022 08:23

How is everyone doing?

I’m feeling very bad for having eaten so much junk. Need to try to get back on-track today…

Cat1424 · 27/12/2022 08:48

@AnnieApple123 had a good festive period although covering up no alcohol and soft cheeses was difficult! How was your Christmas?

I had a bit of worry yesterday as my symptoms went other than feeling mega emotional (nearly cried over buying a new sofa) but the sore/ large boobs are back with a vengeance today.

Has anyone looked at maternity/ nursing bras and have any recommendations? I’ve got a fitting at M&S on Wednesday, currently resorted to wearing a sports bra but even they are becoming uncomfortable!

jollydollyirl · 27/12/2022 09:05

@Alexandra07 So sorry to hear. Look after yourself and take it easy!

@Cat1424 I could've written this myself! Every time I tossed or turned in bed last night it was like having two bowling balls sitting on my chest. Also resigned to a sports bra. Let me know how you get on at M&S!

BCxx · 27/12/2022 09:40

I’m just over 6 weeks and still haven’t reached the nausea stage although I think having covid has completely removed any chance of that because my sense of smell has completely gone still. I’m just absolutely exhausted and could happily stay in bed forever 🙈 We’re going to the in-laws for a second Christmas today and I can see it far enough. I so can’t be bothered making small talk for hours on end, just feel like I don’t have the energy 😭 The not drinking thing will be fine as one of us always has to drive anyway but I’m just going to have to use last week’s covid as my excuse for being miserable and knackered 🙄

sally16 · 27/12/2022 09:47

@Cat1424 the only ones I thought were worth wearing were M&S! Once baby was here I preferred the amazon 3 for £15 ones though! Found them more comfortable and easier to open and close!

LMM91x · 27/12/2022 10:00

@BCxx i’m in the same boat having to go in laws today… would rather stick pins in my eyes at this point… and we are there for four whole days…. Send thoughts and prayers!

blondebanana · 27/12/2022 10:34

@AnnieApple123 I also ate terribly so starting healthy again today! Absolutely addicted to the non-alcoholic Prosecco my husband bought me - delicious but probably full of sugar.

@BCxx good luck!! I had this yesterday and was just exhausted by 9pm. I'm at the tail end of an awful cold so used that as an excuse too. @LMM91x good luck too.... that's a long time!!

I'm 5+3 now and no sign of nausea or weird smells yet. Boobs have stopped hurting too. I have a private scan booked for 6th Jan!

blondebanana · 27/12/2022 10:38

Also does anyone know who / where I might ask for advice on supplements I used to take before getting pregnant? There are quite a long list of natural ingredients in them. Would this be covered in my booking appointment by the midwives or shall I consult my GP? Thank you!

ChloeN · 27/12/2022 10:48

@BCxx @LMM91x lol ladies I feel so sorry for you both, that sounds horrendous 🤣
