Re names theres this app called ‘Baby Names’ (it’s a yellow icon with an egg on the app store) and if you and OH download and connect you can swipe left and right on names like tinder 🤣🤣 and if you both like one it comes up as a match ! We’vw found a few so far that I hadn’t thought of - I absolutely fallen in love with Charlie for a boy out of nowhere !!!! God knows why! But yes it’s very fun and a way to pass the time !

LMM91x · 22/12/2022 21:24

I am sooooo torn about whether I want to find out or not…. Feels like a decision for post 12 weeks!

Lurker22 · 22/12/2022 21:29

So happy for everyone with their scans lovely to hear/see ❤️❤️

UsernameNotPresent · 22/12/2022 21:45

Had my scan today, all is fine, measuring 7+3 which is 2 days behind (but that's nothing), seen the heartbeat 🥹
Thankfully a singleton! 😬

PumpkinEverything · 22/12/2022 21:47

I can’t even think of names yet! It took us a week after she was born to pick my daughters name 🙈 we (mostly I) couldn’t settle before she was born. So I feel like I’ll be procrastinating a bit haha. I think once we know the gender I’ll start thinking then, as I don’t want to get set on one and then not be able to use it.

I love Charlie for a boy too, but have a cousin with that name so not sure if we could use it or not 🤔

BusyBushBaby · 22/12/2022 21:50

We have both a boy name and a girl name picked out but might end up changing our minds before we get to use either. We have been trying to build our family since 2017 so have had plenty of time to discuss names!

Rowanandremy · 22/12/2022 22:32

Congratulations to everyone who has had a scan today, there seems to have been a lot of us!

Re names, we do have names we really
like. One for each gender including middle names. I am going to say though that we were the same for dd and were pretty sold on it… right until we found out she was a girl and chose a name we had only thought of 30 mins before the gender scan 🤣 so I’m glad we have an idea of what we want but Im not fully committing to it just because of what happened last time 😂

BCxx · 22/12/2022 23:29

@UsernameNotPresent congratulations on the scan, glad it was good news 😊

BCxx · 22/12/2022 23:30

@LMM91x Charlie is lovely and actually not that popular at all where I stay, I don’t know a single Charlie!

loveandwarmth · 22/12/2022 23:31

somuchtolearnabout · 22/12/2022 20:18

Welcome @loveandwarmth and congratulations!!! Are we the same person? I could've written your post myself! I also have two sons, 3 and 1 and this was a surprise third baby (which it turns out only happened because I did ovulate early!) and I still have a WhatsApp group that we chat in every minute of the day that was formed when I was pregnant with DS2! I kept reading your post thinking.....did I just write that?!

Anyway welcome and lovely to have you here. There is a fb group which someone has posted the link to further down if you'd like to join us over there 🙂

How strange?!
Seems like we have a lot in common!
Oh id love to join. I'll have a search now!

loveandwarmth · 22/12/2022 23:33

This thread is making it seem very very real!
Congratulations on some great scans everyone.
I haven't even thought about names yet. Maybe after we've had a scan we can start thinking about all those practical things!
I'm definitely hoping to have a surprise this time around. Would love a little girl to complete our trio but I can also imagine a little boy tribe and me being vastly outnumbered! 😂

BCxx · 22/12/2022 23:35

Im still too scared to join the Facebook group.. I have a huge fear my friend is on here too because we basically both agreed we’d like a second baby around the same time and our first’s are both the same age so I just imagine joining the group and seeing her on there 😂 Will join at 12 weeks!

BCxx · 22/12/2022 23:38

@loveandwarmth that’s a nice chilled way to be about it I think! I’m just too impatient, as much as I know it would be lovely at the time to get a surprise, I just can’t not know. I’ll be having a section again too so it’s like you know absolutely everything else about what’s happening and having one unknown might be nice! The only one thing I wasn’t into at all last time was the 4d/3D scan thing, I said I would wait to see his face when he was born and didn’t want to see it while he was in there, so that was still a surprise that it was an actual human baby they’d lifted out! 😂

UsernameNotPresent · 23/12/2022 02:50

I will definitely be finding out the sex at NIPT, I am too impatient for surprises. Re names, I am parking this issue until later on, although I like the idea of that swipe app!

Anyone else very irritated by their partner right now, or is it just me?

UsernameNotPresent · 23/12/2022 02:54

@BCxx I will probably have another section too. I am a little worried about the recovery with having to look after a toddler as well, last time it took a month to be relatively pain free and then another 6 to be able to wear normal underwear again, although I realise this is longer than the norm, and lots of people recover sooner.

sally16 · 23/12/2022 04:38

@UsernameNotPresent I'll be having another c section, mines was a walk in the park recovery wise so I was pretty lucky! But I haven't done recovery with a toddler before 😂

Marmaladebear · 23/12/2022 06:42

Did someone else get bleeding when they went to the toilet? I feel like I've seen that on this thread? Was everything ok? I had spotting with my first and everything was totally fine but this is a bit more blood than just spotting... I'm going to the EPU this morning ASAP, it opens at 8 but I'll get there early. Praying to God everything is ok.

AnnieApple123 · 23/12/2022 06:47

Oh what a worry @Marmaladebear . I’ve had both pink and brown spotting and know how terrifying it can be. That was over two weeks ago now though and I’ve had nothing since. Please don’t assume the worst as all still turns out fine for many people. Hope it does for you. xx

Today is going to be super busy here as I’m suddenly panicking that I’ve not done nearly enough for Xmas…

AnnieApple123 · 23/12/2022 06:49

@LMM91x That app sounds really fun. Going to try it out when I get a chance…

SPR40 · 23/12/2022 07:07

Wow!!! What a great group. I have come over from the Infertility group as I got my bfp on 19th and have had 2 hcg tests since then 14dpt 1338 and 17dpt 3653 due date is 23rd August. First baby, I'm 41 in April and I know its early and so much to be worried about but I'm just so flipping excited 😊 There is so much to read on the post trails so while I'm working my way through just thought I'd say heeeey! 🥰

Amme18 · 23/12/2022 07:09

@Marmaladebear i had same as you with first, this time a fairly significant bleed I’d say (it was bright red and felt like a gush) only the once. Scan and fine - couldn’t find any cause for the bleed which was a bit worrying but she said bleeding is more normal than you think xx

Amme18 · 23/12/2022 07:11

@SPR40 congratulations on your BFP and welcome! We’re a chatty bunch 😅
You’re right - so much to worry about, but also SO much to be excited for!! Lovely news for Christmas xx

Recoba · 23/12/2022 07:15

@Marmaladebear that must be worrying, hope you get some reassurance at the EPU and that everything is okay.

SPR40 · 23/12/2022 07:15

@Amme18 thank you so much for the welcome. It is an amazing end to the year and exactly 2 years since I was told its impossible. IVF has been intensive, emotional and expensive but so worth it for this feeling right now. I love the fact this is a chatty bunch, there is so much to catch up on lol xxxxx have wonderful Christmas 🎄

AnnieApple123 · 23/12/2022 07:32
