Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

Hi all! Congratulations to everyone.

I’ve been waiting to join but it felt a bit early. It’s my second pregnancy, and happened unexpectedly fast after a long wait to conceive last time. By my LMP I’m over 6 weeks but I have long cycles and was tracking ovulation so I think I’m actually 5+1.

Have booked a private early scan for 19th when I think I’ll be nearing 7 weeks so hoping to see heartbeat. Last time had an early scan with no heartbeat, and another agonising wait to go back a couple of weeks later.

Think I’m juuust starting to feel it, really tired! But I think I felt worse later on last time so trying to enjoy the last few weeks with energy and appetite!

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 16:34

@buttercupbee heyyyaaa - oh she was over the moon we screeched and cried was lovely to be able to share it with her. She has two kids of her own so i now have someone to whatsapp at silly oclock silly questions 🤣🤣

@Sjw30 @ChloeN omg i am the same re the digi tests. I did one 11dpo and it was 1-2 and then did one yesterday (so 4w5d) and it was 2-3 so I think thats fine! Going to wait at least a few days to see that 3+ I think cos will send me in a spin. 2 weeks til early scan though woooop!

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 16:40

@buttercupbee its a mind game isn’t it 🤯

@LMM91x aww how lovely! I can’t wait to tell
my best friend, I’m just figuring out the best way because she’s been trying for over a year.

mollibu · 08/12/2022 16:41

@buttercupbee yes next Saturday- chose the first time available as I don't think I can be waiting around all day! Fingers crossed for us 🤞🏻

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 16:43

@Sjw30 oh no that is tough- I had similar 2 weeks before my BFP another close friend told me she was pregnant and I burst into tears. It is a strange feeling as so happy for her but god it was everything I wanted. Luckily mine came shortly after and we are now preggo buddies but I get it. She will probably be emotional but ecstatic for you nonetheless , I know i was xxx

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 16:44

Welcome @Ansisa !!! 💕

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 16:50

Welcome @LBF2020 Yes, I’m with you, thinking about birth plans at this point feels so far off that it’s almost hard to take it seriously. I’ve been having to think this through too as I’m probably not going to go with the most obvious option. Obviously it’s most straightforward if you choose where you’d like to go from the beginning. Yet if you do change your mind later on for whatever reason, it’s certainly possible to switch.

Welcome @Ansisa

@LMM91x That’s really lovely about your friend.

Oh @Sjw30 that’s so hard when you’re pregnant and have a friend who’s struggling to conceive. I had a friend like that first time round too. She has a 6 month-old now but it took her another two years to get there. I used to find it so difficult knowing what to say to her during that time. I was aware that I was probably sometimes the last person she’d want to hear from, with my growing bump and all, yet I really didn’t want her to think either that I’d forgotten her/didn’t care anymore/had moved on and left her behind.

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 17:07

@AnnieApple123 It’s difficult isn’t it but really glad your friend managed to conceive. She knows how long it has took us, so I think she’ll be really happy just finding the best way to tell her that doesn’t upset her as well

LS888 · 08/12/2022 17:14

Trying to catch up on all of these messages!

Sorry to hear that a few people are having worries with bleeding/spotting. Hopefully with imminent scans booked it will reassure you! I know my sister had spotting with both of her healthy pregnancies.

When I had my mmc at 11 weeks, the baby had stopped growing at around 7 weeks. I am nearing 7 weeks now and it does crazy things to your head! Just knowing the approximate dates! Over thinking things massively. I have a scan booked for 9+5. Feeling reassured that I have a scan booked in but still so many worries in my head. Hubby says I should be feeling positive- which I am but it’s so hard to let these little thoughts niggle!

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 17:15

@Sjw30 I'd send her a message with the news to let her process her feelings before seeing you in person. That's always how I wanted people to announce to me.

ChloeN · 08/12/2022 17:28

@buttercupbee @LMM91x I think I left it a week and a day in between and thankfully it was 3+, but I think it can take longer than a week really considering you could be a few numbers under and still get 2-3! Good luck when you both do it ladies xx

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 18:12

@TheBirdintheCave yes I think that’s what I will do.

Is it normal for symptoms to come and go? Period like cramps stopped most the day but have just returned about an hour ago. And my breasts don’t feel as sore. But nausea has stayed the same.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 18:19

@Sjw30 So far yes re symptoms. My boob soreness has got better and then worse again.

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 18:19

@Sjw30 i think so! I had no cramps last 48h and back tonight so hoping so . I think it’s been discussed a few times how symptoms fluctuate xxxxx

Mulner88 · 08/12/2022 18:58

Just trying to quickly catch up with all the messages. Welcome to all the new people and congrats 🎉
Yes symptoms definitely come and go for me. Boobs very sore today but wasn't really yesterday! Boob soreness fluctuates all the time. Felt a bit nauseous yesterday but nothing today.
I just did my clear blue digi and got my 3+ weeks so that's it for the testing now (I took my last test before today over a week ago) and that should reassure me for at least 24 hours 😂
Hope everyone is keeping okay xx

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 19:13

Thank you ☺️

Yes the telling is super hard. Mine actually asked me outright as we were trying at the same time and were aware of each other’s cycle dates. On reflection this was probably for the best as I would have really agonised over finding the right moment to tell her.

Thanks everyone and big congratulations to you all too!
Our options are midwifery unit in local hospital or consultant led 40 mins away. I've opted initially for the midwifery unit assuming things are straightforward!

I had to change doctors as we moved recently. They told me to register with the midwife right away, I was a bit Confusedbut it's just as well they told me to as I had no idea what to do. Booking appointment is first week of Jan.

DesertSnow · 08/12/2022 20:19

Gosh it's so hard to keep up! Welcome and congrats to all the newbies.

Sorry to hear some of you are having spotting - fingers and toes crossed for you all is well and you get some reassurance very soon.

@TheBirdintheCave that made me laugh about your little one wanting biscuits 😂

@Sjw30 I would definitely message your friend first. I had a friend tell me to my face earlier in the year - we hadn't officially started trying but been told by various doctors it was unlikely to happen for us. I was thrilled for her of course, but did feel quite fragile and would have liked to have been able to process it on my own first.

DesertSnow · 08/12/2022 20:20

Has anyone got any cravings? I don't as such, but I'm definitely preferring salty things over sweet - normally have such a sweet tooth!

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 20:28

@DesertSnow Yes, pickles! I can quite easily eat a whole just in a day currently. Really not a good combination with heartburn. No wonder practically my whole digestive tract felt like it was on fire yesterday.

buttercupbee · 08/12/2022 20:39

@ChloeN thank you! I think I will test tomorrow morning which will be a week and a day after I got the 2-3 weeks so fingers crossed!

@Sjw30 my symptoms have been coming and going too. Boobs were really sore at first but have eased off now, and cramps come and go day to day

@DesertSnow no cravings here yet! I’ve heard of some crazy ones though so it will be interesting to see if any of us get any of those 😆

girlshelpxx · 08/12/2022 20:55

my symptoms are definitely coming and going, especially my tender breasts, it makes me feel so much better that i'm not alone, craving wise i don't have any but i have gone off chocolate the thought of it is making me feel sick and i'm a chocoholic lol
