Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

@TheBirdintheCave I imagine they’d say that that wasn’t technically blood? I’m relieved that they don’t think it’s cause for alarm.

Ah, similar scenario @mollibu . How far along are you? I’m 6+3.

mollibu · 08/12/2022 13:53

@AnnieApple123 I'm 6w3d too! Glad I'm not aloneFlowers

EPU really didn't seem concerned and after speaking to a few friends it seems really common at this stage. How are you feeling?

ChloeN · 08/12/2022 13:54

@AnnieApple123 how crap they’re not scanning you, each epu seems so difference which is very unfair!

@mollibu I think it can sometimes take a few days for implantation bleeding to make its way out so could well be that! I’m sure it’s fine but I know it’s hard not to panic xx

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 13:55

@AnnieApple123 It's interesting how they all have different policies. Mine still want to talk to me about it despite me emailing them to update them re my private scan yesterday.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 13:56

@mollibu Also 6+3. It definitely must be common if so many of us are having brown or pink discharge around the same time.

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 14:13

@mollibu Also glad I’m not alone! I feel totally fine physically right now. No cramping or anything else concerning. Hopefully you’re the same? Emotionally I feel very on edge though. I can’t fully relax as I’m so worried this is suddenly going to progress to something worse. I do feel genuinely relieved though that neither of the two nurses I’ve spoken to today were at all concerned. I’d be a lot more anxious if they’d said to rush in for a scan and/or bloods and would have the worry of going through that.

mollibu · 08/12/2022 14:17

@AnnieApple123 same here, no pain or anything physically I feel fine! But like you just a bit on edge also.

The nurse who spoke to me was so calm and unbothered (in a good way if that makes sense!) as I just keep thinking if the nurses aren't worried then I shouldn't be either. I said the same to my partner if they rushed me in it would be 10x worse.

Keeping my fingers crossed for our early scans🤞🏻

mollibu · 08/12/2022 14:23

@TheBirdintheCave yes definitely. As scary as it is for us all, it is reassuring knowing it's quite common for us!

RosieDal · 08/12/2022 14:29

Can I tentatively join too?!

Got my BFP today!

Not sure how far along I am exactly, as I had a MC at 7 weeks along in September and AF hasn't arrived since. Think I'm between 4 and 6 weeks, as I did 3 tests just over 2 weeks ago and all were BFNs.

Had sore boobs and a bit of nausea this week which is what made me test again.

Congratulations to everyone 👏

Welcome @RosieDal . That’s a pretty strong positive! I personally had to stop testing at 14 dpo as it was causing me so much anxiety but it’s a lot stronger than the line I got then.

OP posts:
Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 15:27

Congratulations @RosieDal

Lalalul · 08/12/2022 15:28

@AnnieApple123 i stopped at 14dpo for the same reason. I’m now 17dpo and itching to buy a test! I can’t tell you how many times I have put them in then cancelled them from my Amazon basket. Not sure how much I can hold out for, if the line is strong still I will feel relief, if it’s lighter it will make my anxiety worse! How are you taking your mind off it? X

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 15:39

@Lalalul Interestingly I’m not tempted at all. The thought of taking another test fills me with dread.

OP posts:
Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 15:41

@Lalalul this is something I’m struggling with. I didn’t find out until approx 17dpo. I’m now around 21dpo and feel like I’m going to drive myself mad.

ChloeN · 08/12/2022 15:43

@Lalalul @Sjw30 I found it easier to stop once I got 3+ on clearblue because it can’t really get any more than that! I haven’t tested for a week now which is great for me🤣

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 15:46

@ChloeN I was actually thinking I might use a digital in the next few days, as I’m approx 4+6. But if it hasn’t changed from 2-3 I might send myself into meltdown.

ChloeN · 08/12/2022 15:47

@Sjw30 that was my fear too but I just had to do it to get it over with😣 I don’t think they’re really that accurate but still doesn’t stop me using them🤦🏻‍♀️

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 15:48

@ChloeN no this is it, then all the unnecessary anxiety it might cause! 😩

ChloeN · 08/12/2022 15:50

@Sjw30 If you have the willpower not too I wouldn’t do them but I obviously don’t🤣 it was nice to see the 3+ though I’m sure if your other tests are dark you’ll get it!

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 15:54

@ChloeN I don’t have much willpower I’m afraid 🤣leaving it as long as I can. My tests are dark tbh I feel like I should be able to relax.

LBF2020 · 08/12/2022 16:05

Can I join? Due 9th august going by my last period. 1st pregnancy and feeling like there is lots of decisions etc to be made.
Has anyone else been asked to chose where they want to give birth? I get with the midwives need to know but it feels like such a long way away and who knows what could happen between now and then?
Only symptoms are really sore boobs so far.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 16:09

@LBF2020 Welcome and congrats! Yes, I chose the hospital that was 40 mins away compared to the one that was 35 mins away as it has better ratings. I didn't get a choice with my first baby as our hospital was ten minutes away and the next nearest one was a lot further. Fortunately that hospital was really good.

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 16:09

Welcome and congratulations @LBF2020 I haven’t even properly spoke to a midwife yet. It’s also my first baby so sorry I’m not much help!

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 16:10

@LBF2020 Oh but to clarify I didn't actually even register until I was in the 5th week and I still haven't seen a midwife, I just wanted to make sure I had the appointments made.

buttercupbee · 08/12/2022 16:26

@LMM91x how exciting!! How did your best friend take it?

@follycastle congratulations! Hope you feel better soon!

@PumpkinEverything sorry to hear about your cold. Could you try some more natural remedies like honey and lemon in hot water?

@AnnieApple123 I’m glad you got to speak to someone and they werent

@mollibu hope the scan gives you some reassurance 🙏🏼 is it next Saturday? Mine is next Sunday!

@RosieDal wow what a fab line!! Congratulations!

@ChloeN @Sjw30 I got 2-3 weeks on a digital last Thursday so I really want to try another but I know I’ll be worried if I don’t get 3+ 🤦🏼‍♀️

@LBF2020 congratulations! I was asked when I filled in the first questionnaire but I’m pretty sure you can change your mind 😊 it does seem so early to pick one!
