Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

So I can't believe I'm here, unexpected pregnancy with baby number 2. I haven't mentally gathered myself, so overwhelming and I'm not ready to tell anyone (DH knows, he was equally shocked, but supportive and sensitive to me which is making me emotional even more). According to my dates I'm due 10th Aug and 5wks. I had been drinking, dieting (extended fasting) without knowing! I haven't taken any folic acid, just feel so unprepared. I'm happy but just anxious. This thread is so cathartic! Thank you for having me 😀

@girlshelpxx My symptoms are also coming and going and it’s good to know I’m not with this. Bizarrely I’m really off fruit.

Welcome @AmyHayC How is your first? A friend was just telling me the other day how she managed to do everything wrong before finding out she was having her son. She’d had masses of alcohol and spent a lot of time in a hot tub. All turned out fine and he’s nearly 3 now.

@AmyHayC congratulations ☺️ you just need some time to process this surprise. Dust will settle, I promise. Baba is still tiny at 5 weeks, so no real harm done by dieting/drinking etc. How old is your first one?
@TheBirdintheCave love it. I floated the question to my DS whether he wanted a brother or a sister and got a thoughtful nod in response. I don't think he realises that means sharing toys 😬

Congrats @AmyHayC it's a lot to get your head around. I still feel a bit overwhelmed!
I don't have any cravings but have really gone off all food, apart from pizza 😂 I just don't have much of an appetite and eating for the sake of it really. After I eat, I also feel so bloated and sluggish

OH MY GOODNESS the boobs are absolute agony tonight …. My puppy just stood on one when I was lying on the sofa and omg the pain 🤣 this is gonna be a LONG 9 months !!

Congrats @AmyHayC! you’re in the same boat as me, ours was unexpected too 😂🙈 and we have an almost 14 month old 🙈 I went out for bottomless brunch a few days before I found out and I’m trying not to worry too much about it because it was still so early! I found out just over a week ago (think I’m 6 weeks today) and it took me a few days to get my head around it as I felt happy, anxious and overwhelmed all at the same time!

I’m struggling with cravings/aversions at the moment as to whether I have any. My cold has gradually got worse over the day and it’s putting me off a lot of foods anyway. I just want to eat bread, cheese and chocolate 🙈

im having some weird pelvic floor area type feelings tonight. I don’t even know if I’d call them cramps or not, but they sort of are! They’re just lower down than I have felt them before, like really low! Trying not to overthink every little thing my body does but it’s a struggle 🫠

Can one of you who has been through this before please reassure me about my bloating?
My stomach is so big, it starts as soon as my boobs stop and just gets bigger from there on. Just spent a really uncomfortable dinner with old friends, (managed to swerve the wine without anyone suspecting I think), but I couldn't breathe in my jeans. Never been so excited to whip my clothes off. I had this idea that I wasn't going to tell anyone until I'd had my anomaly scan at 20 weeks but I'm bloody massive, I'll be surprised if people don't start noticing it soon. When does it go down?? Does it go down or am I stuck like this?

@overwork i think it does go down at some point. I’ve checked the notes I kept last time and I’ve written that I felt a lot less bloated when I was 8 weeks as most of my
symptoms disappeared then. But I did start to feel it again a bit at 9 weeks. I’m currently feeling so ugh about myself right now and my jeans are annoying me too. But also I want to wear them as much as possible while I still can 😂🙈

I work as a chef and I was making something with garlic, blue cheese and truffle and I had to physically be sick outside as strong smells send me over the edge never had any symptoms with my first and feel like I've been hit with them all this time!

We also told my just over 2 year old mummy has a baby in her tummy her response
"Euruurgh (sick noise) discussing (disgusting)"

Finishing my nightshift soon and walking past the ultrasound knowing there's nothing to see at 4 weeks has bothered me for the past 13 hours 🤣

Morning all,

Had another pink tinged wipe this morning. I'm so unsure what to do as it is really really light pink and only one wipe then it's gone. What does everyone think I should do?

Is it worth ringing EPU again and asking to be seen? Although I know they might not be able to see much on a scan yet!

@mollibu it's always worth ringing if your worried, I hope they listen to you and you get some reassurance x

Oh @mollibu how worrying for you. Mine have definitely said that anything pink or brown is not a cause for concern. It’s only fresh red blood that they’re interested in. I haven’t been for a wee yet this morning but am quite dreading doing so in case I get the same. I think I’d probably only call them again if significantly less than last time.

Vivid dreams for the last 2 nights! I’m never normally much of a dreamer (or don’t remember them at least) but I could give you a play by play of the weird dreams I’ve been having 🤣

no cravings - more aversions, was the same last pregnancy.

To those worrying about what they’ve done/drank before finding out please don’t. Last pregnancy was unplanned and I had a heavy drinking night and smoked like a trooper. My friend did a sky dive unknowingly pregnant 🤣

Congrats @AmyHayC! Don’t worry about it, I know a woman who went on a binge holiday to Ibiza before she knew she was pregnant and her baby was fine!

@ChloeN well I did the digital today and got 3+ 🥹 officially stopping testing now!

@PumpkinEverything I had lower pelvis pains last night, like right above my bits it was odd, not cramping either like you say xx

Had a super light patch of pink when I wiped this morning - just compared to to a pick of when that happened when I had my chemical and it's so different but still made me worry. So took a Leo of faith with the idea of "if it's still 2-3 it's no worries the numbers need to be quite high, but for its 3+ you're not testing anymore and can stop freaking yourself out"

No more testing! If anyone else is having light pink when they wipe I do have a pic for me just to keep track of what it's like, I advise you do the same as when you're trying to remember your mind can easily make you think it was a lot darker than it was!

I had no brown CM at all today but some this morning and it was a little fresher than it has been 😭😭 I'm just terrified.

Sounds similar to me @ChloeN which is reassuring! No idea what it was.

I am so loaded with the cold that I’ve decided to wfh today, and ultimately not go out for my Christmas dinner. I’m really sad to miss the dinner as the place does amazing chocolate cake, but a bit relieved I can dodge the not drinking questions. I’m feeling really quite miserable tho and likely to sit with tissues up my nose all day and my eyes streaming 🙈
