Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

@TheBirdintheCave i have no idea what all
those numbers mean but I’m hoping and praying for you that it’s more positive than you think x

Nic2908 · 13/12/2022 21:28

@mum2b29 thinking of you and prey everything is ok and safe.

My app says that I am 5+3 although I am hoping that I am off with my dates because when I did my clear blue this morning it still says 2-3

I am exhausted and like others cannot focus, I’m a ward manager as I’ve mentioned before and the two do not go together. I felt like I was drowning today. Bring on the second trimester glow!

@TheBirdintheCave everything crossed for you, remember also you have had two different people measuring. The same person measuring would never be able to measure exactly the same points a week apart, never mind two different people at different clinics. Breathe be positive and I have every hope in the world for you for good news next week. When is your scan?

TheBirdintheCave · 13/12/2022 21:57

Thanks for all the support everyone :) That's the last scan for me until January now :( The one we had today was to replace the one booked for next week. The EPU wanted to see me earlier after the spotting at the weekend.

I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens. My husband and I decided to try and book a scan for ten weeks if nothing happens before them.

Warning TMI...

So ended up doing the deed this evening and when I went for a wee afterwards there was a streak of very light pink on the tissue, is this something to be concerned about? or completely normal? It's not accompanied by any cramps or anything like that just dr Google is doing me no favours 🤦‍♀️

BCxx · 14/12/2022 00:20

@Loudmouth1 in one of my videos last week it mentioned it’s totally normal and is due to the extra blood volume and blood flow to that area, the capillaries are near the surface and easily damaged, hence the tiny amount of blood. We didn’t do it the entire first trimester last time, tried now and again in the second trimester and it felt okay then in the third trimester I really did just feel we were doing it so I could tick a box and say that we had! I think at about 32 weeks I just said this won’t be happening again 😂 Now looking back the easiest time to do it would have been the first trimester but it’s the time I’m most scared to!

Sjw30 · 14/12/2022 04:02

Anyone in the wide awake club 😴

Sjw30 · 14/12/2022 04:03

Got everything crossed for you @TheBirdintheCave xx

Recoba · 14/12/2022 04:38

@Sjw30 yep, wide awake here. From memory I thought that pregnancy insomnia didn't start with my first until some time in the second trimester, but this time round it seems to have kicked in super early (probably not helped by rotten cold DS has shared). Are you having trouble sleeping too? Hope you can get back to sleep soon!

Sjw30 · 14/12/2022 05:20

@Recoba oh no! Hope the cold isn’t too bad for you, and the sleepless nights don’t continue for you. I’ve been waking up around 4am to go to the toilet then struggling to get back to sleep with nausea but last night was just no sleep whatsoever! Unfortunately I’ve now decided to just get up as I’m at work at 7 🤦‍♀️

mum2b29 · 14/12/2022 07:15

Nic2908 · 14/12/2022 07:40

@mum2b29 much love xxx

BoodifulGoose · 14/12/2022 08:37

Can someone go back to when I was anxious about having no symptoms, slap me, and tell me I'm lucky?

Got hit with my first bout of morning sickness yesterday, had my winter vaccines scheduled for yesterday too.

Was up almost all of last night and been throwing up bile all morning 😭

I feel horrendous and so nervous this is just how it's going to be, even though it's likely not being helped by vaccines. EUGH.

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2022 09:05

Sending lots of love @mum2b29 ♥️♥️

MsRT · 14/12/2022 09:29

@mum2b29 lots of love ❤️ xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 14/12/2022 09:45

@mum2b29 So so sorry :(

@BoodifulGoose Sounds like a horrible night :( I hope it evens out for you.

sally16 · 14/12/2022 10:00

Had the midwife call... told her my weight... then weighed myself after.. I will not be doing that again 😂she's going to get a fright at the 10lb difference 🫠

ArcEnCiel2022 · 14/12/2022 10:16

@mum2b29 I'm really sorry for your loss, I hope you're ok 💐

@Alexandra07 thank you! I'm sorry you had a loss as well, let's hope this one is our rainbow 🌈

TheBirdintheCave · 14/12/2022 10:35

@sally16 Oh dear! 😂

buttercupbee · 14/12/2022 11:00

@mum2b29 so sorry about your loss :( take care of yourself xx

Sorry to hear of those of you with insomnia. I am the opposite, I can’t get enough sleep at the minute! Fell asleep on the sofa last night at 9pm, came to bed shortly after and slept through until 8.30am. I even slept through my alarm 🤦🏼‍♀️

somuchtolearnabout · 14/12/2022 11:56

Anyone else feel borderline narcoleptic at the moment? I don't think there's a moment in the day that I don't feel shattered. Thank god the kids go to nursery Thursdays and Fridays so I'm planning on spending both of the next 2 days sleeping.

overwork · 14/12/2022 12:03

@sally16 oh you're so brave! My stomach is massive! I can't fit into any of my clothes comfortably it's ridiculous. I'm hoping it's all bloat as my diet hasn't changed at all (apart from usual Christmas excess!). But I daren't get on those blinking scales!
@mum2b29 I'm ever so sorry it hasn't worked out for you this time. Look after yourself

Chocolotandtea · 14/12/2022 12:08

@somuchtolearnabout I am absolutely exhausted too and that’s without any other kids to look after so hats off to you!

Miraclesdohappen88 · 14/12/2022 12:15

@mum2b29 so sorry for your loss, thinking of you xx

sally16 · 14/12/2022 12:32

@overwork I only got on due to the extreme bloat! I'm hoping it all water weight since I can't really afford to put on. Last time I had severe spd and needed crutches 🫠 so I lost 4 stone between kids to try and avoid it this time 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

LBF2020 · 14/12/2022 13:06

@mum2b29 I'm so sorry 😢

@sally16 I'm not brave enough to get on the scales. I have a feeling it will be a shock, I feel so swollen!
