Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

Actually, on the subject of mood...has anyone else noticed their mood changing already?

I feel very disoriented and unmotivated. I'm usually very driven but I just have no incentive to do anything. Usually when my 2 year old naps I try and get loads of work done and have a plan for what I'm going to do. Today he napped and I basically sat on the sofa for an hour, which us unheard of. Whenever I try to plan my work my brain feels like its gone to mush 🤦‍♀️ I also feel a bit overwhelmed now...Like, how the hell am I gonna cope with everything? I think the fact that I'm pregnant is beginning to sink in!

@LMM91x
Thank you, I think im miscarriaging tbh it's red now and I'm having cramps but we'll see I'll give it until tmro if it doesn't stop I'll just need to accept it as it is and hopefully try again❤️

I'm really sorry. I've been through this before, fwiw I fell pregnant with my son the cycle after a loss. Sending lots of love 💛

mum2b29 · 13/12/2022 19:35

@Createcomet
Sorry to hear you went through it also, thanks for your kind words 💛

Mulner88 · 13/12/2022 19:39

@Createcomet this is me!! On so many levels 🙈 Firstly, although this pregnancy was very much planned and we've been trying for 1.5 years, I am extremely overwhelmed about how it will change my life. I think more so the fact we won't have much support as both mine and my husbands family live in a different country. I feel like it's going to be hard with no family support, but I'm trying to keep positive as I knew that that would be the case! I'm sure my mother and MIL will come over quite a bit in the beginning.

Also feeling very unmotivated with daily chores and work! I struggle to get through the working day, I think probs my mind is obviously elsewhere. I normally am very on top of my chores/cleaning and can't bring myself to do it. That's probably the tiredness really as I feel it's really hitting me now.

Mulner88 · 13/12/2022 19:40

@mum2b29 sorry to hear that. I hope it calms down and ends on a positive note for you. Sending you hugs x

marleyandme · 13/12/2022 19:48

@mum2b29 I hope you're OK, thinking of you ❤️

@Createcomet thanks for your kind words, I'm feeling a lot better now and tbh I did only a few hours after posting. I think this roller-coaster of emotion is just a bit crazy right now! I'm sure I'll get used to it

Hi all, I am in my 5th week I am having pretty constant mild cramps, the odd twinges in breasts but no other symptoms.
Cramps are very much like period pains, so I guess I am just looking for reassurance that cramps this early are normal. Google has done me no favours as it doesn’t seem like I should be having cramps yet unless I am no longer pregnant. Thank you 😊

Hi @MinnieFirstTimeMum I'm only 4+1 but also having spontaneous cramps. Very mild but I'm really conscious of every twinge these days. Still getting a strong positive thank God so hopefully all's ok.

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 13/12/2022 20:22

Same. Pretty mild, but they seem constant. Glad I am not the only one conscious of them. Every time I go to wee I’m dreading seeing a bleed.

LMM91x · 13/12/2022 20:25

@MinnieFirstTimeMum hiya I am 5 + 4 and I had the exact same last week thought it would never go away but itms definately calmed down a lot the last 3 or 4 days I’d say and still pregnant as far as I’m aware!❤️

Lalalul · 13/12/2022 20:26

@MinnieFirstTimeMum i had full constant cramps at about 4 weeks for a few days. They felt like period pains. I was so worried and posted on here, and people reassured me that they had constant cramps too etc. it can be linked to your uterus expanding to prepare for baby so the internet tells me! Mine have gone now, and I actually have 0 symptoms other than sore boobs but I’m keeping positive that there’s no blood. It seems everyone can have very different symptoms!

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 13/12/2022 20:27

Aww thank you, that is reassuring.
Glad to hear it does pass, and congratulations 😊🥰

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 13/12/2022 20:28

Thank you so much. Reassurance from others who have had the same is so helpful ❤️

MsRT · 13/12/2022 20:28

@mum2b29 I’m so sorry 😢 I’ve got everything crossed that you get some positive news soon. Sending you lots of love xxx

@TheBirdintheCave I’m sorry you had a bad experience today too 😞 I hope you’re feeling as ok as you can be xxx

QueenBee22 · 13/12/2022 20:45

@TheBirdintheCave that's great news. Congratulations.

Do you mind asking me how many weeks are you?

I have been called for an early scan next week and I will be 5+6. They normally do it at 6 weeks but they are closed for Christmas when I will be 6 weeks. I wonder will there be any heartbeat or is it just too early?

somuchtolearnabout · 13/12/2022 20:48

So sorry to hear that @mum2b29 keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

@TheBirdintheCave Definitely not the experience you were hoping for. Did you tell EPU about the bleeding you'd been having as well? I'm not trying to give you false hope here, but for now, there's still a heartbeat, and until you hear otherwise please don't convince yourself it's all over. It's easy to have incorrect dates at such an early stage and until you know definitively otherwise, for now you're still pregnant. Really hoping for the best for you xxx

somuchtolearnabout · 13/12/2022 20:50

@QueenBee22 5+6 is pretty early for a heartbeat but definitely not impossible. I've only ever been at 7w and always found a heartbeat then, so can't comment on personal experience but from hearing others experiences it sounds unlikely. At that stage I presume they're just looking for a yolk sac and the foetal pole will probably develop over the following few days

BCxx · 13/12/2022 20:51

@mum2b29 really hope it’s good news for you. I found out I was pregnant on Thursday, didn’t want to get excited til I saw a better line. Not much improvement on Friday. Saturday we’d gone away for the night and as soon as we arrived at the hotel I could feel that I was bleeding. I went to the toilet and it was like full on AF amount, maybe not heavy but definitely not ‘spotting’ by any means. There was red blood but it was hard to tell because the blood on my underwear had gone dark. It was still going all afternoon/early evening on Saturday as if AF had arrived, I had no doubts that’s what it was, had fully written off any possibility of things being okay. Sunday there was still a bit but it was less than the initial gush, it had turned brown. By Sunday night/Monday morning it had dried up and then completely stopped. To my amazement Monday’s test was a really good line! I genuinely could not see any possible way that things would be fine with that amount of bleeding but it appears they are 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hope yours is just the same and you’re still early on! This is my second pregnancy and I didn’t experience a single drop of blood last time so that probably added to my instant worry

QueenBee22 · 13/12/2022 20:52

@somuchtolearnabout Thanks I had a scan on my last pregnancy at 8 weeks and everything was there but 5+6 seems so early. At least I know what to expect now.

ChloeN · 13/12/2022 20:54

@QueenBee22 id say there’s a good chance you would be able to see a heartbeat, if you don’t it would only be a day or 2 off if your dates are right

elarcoiris · 13/12/2022 21:00

Just to add that I have now had four pregnancies in total - two miscarriages, one that resulted in my son and this one which seems to be going ok so far - and have had a period-like bleed for a couple of days at least around the time I would’ve got my period every time. Maybe it’s implantation bleeding but definitely heavier than anything I’ve read would lead me to expect. In my successful pregnancy I also had similar bleeding around 12 weeks (but before my scan which was worrying) but all was fine.

It’s really hard to know which way things will go in any particular situation, but just wanted to share my experience as an example of it not always being bad news.

Adventureofalifetimexo · 13/12/2022 21:08

Hi guys,
joined on this thread and I think I need some advice(probably reassurance at this point because I’m a worrier and very emotional lol)
I found out last week that I‘’m pregnant and have my booking appointment on the 7th January. This will be my first and it’s the first time I’ve ever been pregnant. I have one boob that’s sorer than the other and get niggly pains in my stomach on both the right and left side. I keep Googling stuff and my partner keeps telling me off because Dr Google isn’t the right answer. What I guess im trying to ask is is the one boob sorer than the other normal and my hips are killing me!
sorry for the long post! Xxx

PumpkinEverything · 13/12/2022 21:09

@QueenBee22 its really hard to know, but you might just be able to see one 🤞🏻🤞🏻

sorry you didn’t get the reassurance you’d hoped for @TheBirdintheCave 😔 I wouldn’t give up all hope yet if you can. There’s still a baby and a heartbeat which is great. I also think it’s positive that there’s almost the right amount of days growth between the two scans, even if it does seem like the overall date is behind. Are you going to book in for another?

mum2b29 · 13/12/2022 21:15

@BCxx
Thanks for that, glad your much better❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
