Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

I really love my October mums Facebook group, and it’s so handy to have! I’m seeing more of other mums here having had one before too and I’m sure they feel the same.

would people want me to try and set one up? I’m happy to do so when I get a chance. It’ll be private of course! And not an obvious pregnancy related name 😊

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 20:42

@PumpkinEverything I'd love that! I also have experience with FB groups so can help if needs be :)
Will be a nice way to keep in touch as the threads are filling up fast 😂

Amme18 · 11/12/2022 20:43

@PumpkinEverything yes found a fb group
so much easier to keep up with!

ChloeN · 11/12/2022 20:47

@PumpkinEverything yes sounds good! I’m glad someone’s offered I definitely do not know how to do it, not a private one at least 🤣

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 20:47

Think I'm jumping back in to the thread, my anxiety is getting better the closer I get to my scan on the 17th and seeing more people say they have minimal symptoms is reassuring me! Although I definitely have a few which is also reassuring haha.

Congrats to all the new people recently so glad to see it fill up, hope the best for all of us 🥰

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 20:49

Also, has anyone bought anything for pregnancy/baby yet?

My fiance's aunt made us mugs, and my secret Santa sent me a pregnancy journal and whilst I know in reality that it's not going to do anything to affect the outcome, I feel really weird about having stuff this early?😅 (7weeks)

PumpkinEverything · 11/12/2022 21:03

Hopefully this has worked! It’s private, but I have it searchable so people should be able to find it. And I don’t think there’s any other groups with that name. Does anyone want to see if they can find and join?

PumpkinEverything · 11/12/2022 21:04

That’s so nice @BoodifulGoose 🥰 I haven’t yet, but we already have a lot so don’t need much. I’ll be tempted with clothes after I have my first scan though 🙈

PumpkinEverything · 11/12/2022 21:05

Found the link button! www.facebook.com/groups/874969843647403/?ref=share_group_link

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 21:09

Aww that’s lovely @BoodifulGoose we haven’t got anything yet, first timer here and we actually don’t know where to start 😂 will likely start looking after scans.

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 21:09

@PumpkinEverything yeah I want to wait til 12 weeks before buying stuff but not sure I'll be able to help myself after the 8 week one if it goes well 😂
I'd maybe add an entry question of "how did you hear about this group?" so you know it's people coming from MN? :)

sally16 · 11/12/2022 21:11

@PumpkinEverything I loved my last due in fb group! Was on a small one of us from mums net!
It's went a bit quiet now so I'd 100% be up for an august one 🥰

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 21:11

@Sjw30 first timer here also just irrationally worried I'll jinx it I think 😂
Think I'll start looking for practical stuff after 12w, although already been looking at maternity chairs! Desperately wanted a good excuse for a rocking chair and now I have one 😂

sally16 · 11/12/2022 21:13

@BoodifulGoose I have ordered a bunch of bonds wondersuits 😅 I only found them when my son was 1 so didn't get to obsess for a huge amount of time and they are my one weakness to early purchasing haha

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 21:13

@BoodifulGoose oh same!! My sister will probably have a few things for us that we can use and yess I’ve had the same thought about the chair 🤣

Snoo120190 · 11/12/2022 21:14

Hi all, first time poster here but a serial lurker! I should be close to 6 weeks atm going off conception dates.
Feeling extremely anxious after 2 late miscarriages this year already - one loss at 17 weeks in March and another loss at 20 weeks in September.
Just the worst year so far, can't believe I'm pregnant for the 3rd time now (6th pregnancy overall, I am unbelievably grateful for my 2 living kids)
Unfortunately no reason was found for my first miscarriage this year and still waiting on results from second baby's post mortem, so I have no idea if this pregnancy has a chance of even being viable or if I should be on aspirin, cyclogest, progesterone or something else to try and keep the baby safe. It's all very overwhelming but I am thankful to have another chance at this so soon, and just keeping everything crossed I get to bring home a baby this time.
I'm delighted to read so many happy and excited posts about lots of little potential August babes xx

PumpkinEverything · 11/12/2022 21:15

Oo good idea @BoodifulGoose have added that in as a question 😊

BoodifulGoose · 11/12/2022 21:20

@sally16 oh they're SO CUTE. oh no 😂 They're too cute!!

@Snoo120190 congrats 🥰 everything crossed for you x

Alexandra07 · 11/12/2022 21:20

@Cinnamon03 it must be stressful for you. I don't have experience with spotting, didn't have any now or with my first pregnancy, but you have a good plan. The GP will be able to advise you tomorrow.

@PumpkinEverything thank you for setting up the group! Will my friends be able to see I joined it? The name is not that discreet 😂Other women with children may guess what it is, men may not!

TheBirdintheCave · 11/12/2022 21:27

@BoodifulGoose All I need is a new bassinet, bottle teats and some 50x50 terry squares as our old ones shrank in the wash. I don't think I'll be buying any of it until after 30 weeks though.

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 21:29

@sally16 I have just googled these - adorable!!

BCxx · 11/12/2022 21:32

@Asher19992 yes you can contact them anytime, I’m going to hang on until I get to 5 weeks as I found out sooo early and want to see the tests progressing first. My booking appointment was really early last time, it was over the phone at about 6 weeks then I just went in for the blood test after

ChloeN · 11/12/2022 21:33

@Snoo120190 oh you’ve really been through it this year😔 I’m keeping everything crossed for you that alls okay this time! Do you get extra midwife’s appts and scans? X

Alexandra07 · 11/12/2022 21:35

That will be my second baby, if everything goes well, so I don't need much. A Moses basket and a cot, that I will buy much later. I don't think I'll buy anything before 20 weeks, that's what I did last time.

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 21:37

@Alexandra07 I was thinking this too, I’m sure other people can’t see private groups I'm not 100% sure. Thank you @PumpkinEverything for
making it ☺️
