Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

@LMM91x @Sjw30 if your dates are right you should be able to see a heartbeart!xx

@Createcomet welcome! When’s your due date?xx

@BCxx think I recognise your name from ttc threads, glad to see you here☺️

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 17:28

@ChloeN yes that’s what I’m hoping, will/should be 6+6

Createcomet · 11/12/2022 17:31

Sjw30 · 11/12/2022 17:21

Hey @Createcomet welcome and congrats! Sounds like you have a lot in your plate! I’m also feeling really tired, sore boobs and nausea and cramping that come and go

I hope you're feeling okay! I always get symptoms this early but have had a couple of early losses so a bit wary. Think I'm between 4 and 5 weeks. I really want a second child but I think my brain is currently in "Omfg I can't believe I've got to do this again" mode 🤣🤣🤣 Equally I will be really upset if I lose this one, so clearly my hormones are all over the place already 🤣

LMM91x · 11/12/2022 17:33

Thanks all !!! Hmmmmmm i’ll keep it under review - i’m pretty bang on with my dates I think as always ovulate day 14 etc then got BFP at 10Dpo so if it was any later than that i’d expect a later BFP right?? Or alternatively if i ovulated earlier that only works in my favour ! Will he 6w6d and yes @Sjw30 same day 22nd!! 🤞🤞🤞

Desperatelyboredhousewife · 11/12/2022 18:23

Hi everyone, I’m joining (nervously) at 5 weeks 2 days, this is my first pregnancy conceived on first round of clomid after over a year of trying. I’m currently experiencing quite a lot of anxiety but having some mild symptoms (sore boobs, cramping, weird taste in mouth). We have an early scan booked for 7 weeks and I’m counting down the days!

LMM91x · 11/12/2022 18:29

@Desperatelyboredhousewife welcome! I am 5w2d also so we are in this together! 💕. I think the anxiety is inevitable - it’s like we just know too muvh about what can go wrong these days :( one day at a time all we can do! xxx

I agree with you about one day at a time @LMM91x . Going with the mantra 'today I am pregnant'. Have sore, heavy boobs, cramping and insomnia. Only at 4 weeks so still very anxious after having a chemical earlier this year. Praying for a sticky!

LMM91x · 11/12/2022 18:38

@jollydollyirl absolutely - and breathe !! My cramps have been pretty annoying - nothing beyond what i’d say is mild god does feel like a lot - not much I can do but wait and hope for the best🤞 my boobs only really hurt in the eve strangely so yep another cause of morning anxieryy daily 🤣. Sticky beans all round please !! 🙏🤞

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:39

@LMM91x sorry no maybe that was confusing! There was a heartbeat! It was 6 weeks 4 days I think. I had drank so much water because they said to come with a full bladder but my bladder was literally about to pop. We arrived early and I had to unbutton my jeans and walk up and down outside until my appointment time because I thought I was going to pee myself 😂 I assumed it would be an internal scan (it said on the website it would) but she said she’d try the normal ultrasound first. I think because my bladder was so full she was able to see what she needed to on the normal ultrasound. She said she could see the heartbeat and gave us photos away but looking back at them it was just a grey blur 😂 she asked if I wanted the internal one too for a clearer picture and I said no, as I bolted for the nearest toilet 🙈 I was just relieved there was a heartbeat so didn’t care about anything else! Due to the Christmas holidays at the clinic this time I thought my options were 28th dec or 8th January but they’ve just added a date for 4th January and il be 7 weeks 2 days I think the so I’m going with that!

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:40

@Desperatelyboredhousewife aww lovely, congratulations! I’m going for 7 weeks too!

jollydollyirl · 11/12/2022 18:41

@LMM91x Mild (af like) cramps here too and I'm so paranoid that AF is going to rear her ugly head! Took a spare FRER I had this morning and the line still seems quite strong so hoping all's ok. Can't believe there's another 8 weeks of this anxiety! Although I'll probably book an early scan at around week 7 maybe.

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:41

@ChloeN hi 😊 yip! I’ve made it to the other side 😅

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:43

@RosieDal thank you! You too!

@buttercupbee hi ☺️Thanks, I’ve made it!!!

LMM91x · 11/12/2022 18:45

@BCxx oh amazing thank you sorry if i misynderstood your post!!! I’ll be basically 7 weeks so Imm hoping all that can be seen at an early scan is seen🤣 then I can relax over Christmas and tell close family 🤞🤞🤞 xxxxx

CityKity · 11/12/2022 18:45

Another question for you ladies. Baths - yes or no?
I’m the kind to make a scalding hot bath and soak for as long as possible getting steamy and wrinkly, bliss! So I’ve read a lot that hot baths are a no no 😢, and it’s recommended to have a tepid bath only - which honestly sounds like my idea of hell.
In this weather would a warmish (not scalding bath) be okay? What are you ladies doing?

A bid sad today as had a friend bring up how awful it would be to have an August baby be the youngest in the year. Obviously I didn’t say anything, and she doesn’t know yet, but it still bothered me a lot.

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:49

Also no pressure ladies but I was on the August 2021 thread with my little boy, we went through the whole thing together then when it came to August it was the most exciting thing ever as we went down the list of dates and each person would emerge with a baby and their story! The chat went on well into the following year and I now have some of them on social media. Can’t quite believe I’m now on this one ☺️🤯

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:51

@LMM91x yeah I think it can be even like 5 and a half weeks at times but not in everyone’s case so it’s one of those things you could go too early and not get a heartbeat but a few days later there could be one. 7 weeks will be safe enough! I’m sure the early scans my friend (recurrent miscarriage) got on the NHS were at 6 and a half weeks every time

CityKity · 11/12/2022 18:52

@BCxx this might sounds really lame but I’ve been lurking on the Due Dec 2022 thread to see all those stories start to pop up and it’s so exciting as well as nerve wracking thinking we’ll be in the same boat next Aug (all going well of course)!

LMM91x · 11/12/2022 18:54

@BCxx i hope we can live up to that 🤣🤣 its exciting to think of stuff like that ❤️

@CityKity i’m sorry you had to deal with that - i guess it is a real issue as august babies are almost are a lot younger than september babies when they start school :(. But i don’t think that counts out. Whole month 🤣 least they’ll always have their birthday in the holidays and not have to go to school! Im early sept bday and HATED always being just back at school when it was my bday !!

this is a great little article !! Bring on the leo powerhouses!!! ❤️

PumpkinEverything · 11/12/2022 18:54

I’m still on the fence about when to book my scan and they’re booking up so fast 🙈 now leaning towards after Christmas so I’m closer to 9 weeks as that’s when my MMC happened. I had a scan with my daughter then also and she looked much more baby shaped too which I liked! Instead of a little blob 😂🙈 just don’t know how much longer I can hold off. I think my husband wants to go before Christmas and is also saying now if we go at 9 weeks can we not just wait until the nhs one at 12 weeks as ‘it’s only a month’ 😂🫠 he does not understand the anxiety! I’ve only know I was pregnant about 8/9 days and it feels like it’s been about 6 weeks already

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:55

@CityKity I’m in Scotland so don’t have the year group issue, it’s actually one of the best birthdays here 😂 you can always defer them to next year, we do that here anyway!

I love baths so much! I’m still going to have my nightly bath. I can stay in them for days though but I’m just going to limit it to 30 minutes (that’s probably still long 😂) and not have it too hot. I got a bath thermometer last time and didn’t have it over a set temperature. I think it’s more hot tubs etc that would be risky. Nothing will stop me having my bath 🙈

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:56

@CityKity haha totally! We had a list of names and dates and if they knew what they were having boy/girl. The ones who had sections booked had that date on the list and the rest had due dates. I was getting more and more nervous as we went down the dates 😂 was amazing to come on lying in hospital that night and tell them all I survived!

BCxx · 11/12/2022 18:59

@PumpkinEverything aww sorry you’ve already been through that ☹️ Yeah I totally think the longer you can wait the better for the sake of seeing something rather than the little peanut in a blur of grey I came home with last time 😂 but I see what he’s saying in that if you’re going to go late then there might not be much between the two scans. 8/9 weeks is probably a good time! Your chance of miscarriage falls day by day at that point too so hopefully you have an easy time of it this time🤞🏼

BCxx · 11/12/2022 19:00

@LMM91x haha it’s all I’m here for 🤣🤣

Alexandra07 · 11/12/2022 19:01

@CityKity I think that hot baths can overheat the baby, so it's better to avoid. Not sure if this applies also at this early stages. When I was in pain before giving birth my first one, the midwife told me to have a warm bath to ease the pain (at 39w I almost got stuck in the bathtub but that's another story!).

Do baths increase the risk of infection? I was advised to avoid them for a while after a hysteroscopy for that reason, but not sure if that's the case when you haven't been through a surgery.
