Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

Bit of red in my brown CM this morning. I am terrified. I don't know what to do.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 11:40

I think I'm going to leave this group. Everyone is so happy and excited whilst I'm just waiting for the end. Have safe and happy pregnancies everyone :)

ChloeN · 10/12/2022 11:47

@TheBirdintheCave dont worry I get your fear, I’m just trying to get through each day to be honest I’m sure you feel the same😔 I can’t remember if you said epu had ended up seeing you? X

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 11:53

@ChloeN Nope they still haven't and they're closed at the weekend.

ChloeN · 10/12/2022 11:58

@TheBirdintheCave it’s crap do they not think people have issues on a weekend🙄 hopefully it doesn’t get any worse and they see you on Monday? I’m not really sure what else you can do😭 are you still taking the progesterone?

Jadeelx · 10/12/2022 12:04

@TheBirdintheCave sorry your going through this and all the worry it is causing… try and remember you have the positive scan, the heart beat, the growth is all as it should. Sometimes we do just spot and have slight bleeding, I went for a private scan before the EPU scan and she couldn’t see a cause for the spotting, but the EPU lady did see a few areas of fluid (small subchorionic hematoma) and those scans were only days in between.
I know it’s alarming seeing red, but I think as long as the flow doesn’t get super heavy try and take comfort that every single other thing is positive and as it should be. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you! Could it even be cervix as it’s changing sometimes it’s more sensitive and bleeds, I had loads of random bleeding (red blood) last pregnancy and they always said it was my cervix
xx

Tuna, can i eat it? I'm thinking of having tuna pasta for lunch but i do be very careful in what i'm eating, should i be okay?

ellie0605 · 10/12/2022 12:19

@girlshelpxx yes tuna is fine, they just recommend no more than 4 tins per week

tallgirl232 · 10/12/2022 12:20

My brown discharge got worse and was constant. Also accompanied with sharp pains that would go and come and come back around my back, pelvic, perineum, neck and arms and shoulder, 111 advised I got to A&E, after a 9 hour wait and some blood tests, doctor spoke to me for 5 mins saying I seem ok and would refer me to the EPAU.

Those who got spotting/, brown discharge/ light bleeding, how regular and often was it and was it accompanied with pain /cramps ?

tallgirl232 · 10/12/2022 12:21

I understand how you feel and feel like this too often ❤️

Sunshinemom · 10/12/2022 12:51

Congratulations, I’m also due 18th - feeling very nervous

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 13:05

@tallgirl232 Really sorry you've been having pain that sounds so frightening :( I'm really surprised A&E didn't check you over more thoroughly.

As to your question, no pain for me, just brown CM on and off now sometimes with some fresh blood too.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 13:08

@ChloeN Yeah I'm still taking it.

@Jadeelx Ok that's interesting to know that your EPU saw things your private scan didn't.

Sorry for my freak out guys. I feel a bit better now that I'm back home (we had taken our son to soft play).

UsernameNotPresent · 10/12/2022 13:18

@TheBirdintheCave I am sorry you are going through this. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you.
@tallgirl232 I hope everything will turn out ok.

I went for my private early scan today. According to LMP I am 6 weeks on the dot, but judging by the scan could be somewhere between 5 weeks and 6 weeks. They saw a yolk sac, but no fetal pole yet. Going back for a re-scan on 22 of Dec. Moral of the story, don't go for early scan too early!

Sjw30 · 10/12/2022 14:02

@TheBirdintheCave @tallgirl232 sorry you are both going through this. I hope everything will be ok x

buttercupbee · 10/12/2022 14:55

So sorry to hear of everyone struggling. I totally get it, it’s my first pregnancy and I have no reason to think anything is wrong so far but I know so many women who’ve had losses that I can’t help but worry 😣 just trying to remind myself that the odds are in my favour and it’s out of my hands now. What will be will be ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 15:11

@UsernameNotPresent Oh no that must be so scary :( Could you have ovulated a few days late to account for it?

somuchtolearnabout · 10/12/2022 15:28

@UsernameNotPresent oh what a bummer! Don't panic though, you must've just ovulated slightly later and you could even have gone just 1 day early. No fetal pole isn't bad news at all, simply means it's just not there yet. At least you can rest eating knowing it's in the right place and just needs another few weeks to cook.

@TheBirdintheCave MN groups like this are either a blessing or a curse, depending on which day you ask me. I joined one when I was TTC DS2 and over the years we have branched off into a small group of 6 and I can say with absolute certainty, they are some of my best friends in the world. One lives down the road and we have become so close our husbands are now such good friends they recently went to the football in Qatar together. The rest live across the country but I meet up with the other in London multiple times a month and the others if I ever find myself in their neck of the woods / vice versa. We talk all day every day. They know all about you lot already 😂 The point of my rambling is that this is such a tricky time for all of us. It's scary, and it's overwhelming, and there's nothing we can do to make it easier for ourselves. It's so hard not to compare and it's also hard for anyone to hear of other people really happy when we are spiralling. But these groups can also be a real lifeline in difficult times (and in good times!) and I can think of so many occasions that my other group saved me from a really difficult time - so please stick with us! It may be really be worth it in the end ❤️

marleyandme · 10/12/2022 15:34

Sorry to hear what you're going through @TheBirdintheCave and @tallgirl232 got my fingers crossed for you 🤞

How's everyone and their symptoms today? I'm 5+3 and have such a bloated pouch going on, I've ordered some stretchy jeans as my button keeps popping undone and I'm finding it so uncomfortable wearing them! I live in jeans normally so hope I can get some that will last me.

I got my letter through for my appointment with the midwife which will be around 8 weeks in January so relieved I've got a date in the diary now.

Still not sure whether to book an early scan between Christmas and New year 🤔

MsRT · 10/12/2022 15:37

@TheBirdintheCave bless your heart. I hope you’re feeling a little bit better now you’re at home and sorry that happened whilst you was out 😞 xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 15:46

@MsRT Yeah it had stopped by the time I got home so was literally that one instance. I'm just sitting on the sofa now after doing some dusting whilst my son napped.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/12/2022 15:48

@marleyandme My nausea has been getting worse and worse since Wednesday. It's been pretty constant today which I've been delighted about 😂

PumpkinEverything · 10/12/2022 16:28

@somuchtolearnabout I have this with my first baby mums 🥰 we have a fb messenger chat and talk everyday. I wouldn’t have got through pregnancy and the start of motherhood without them! We’ve all never met but I love them all!

buttercupbee · 10/12/2022 16:55

@marleyandme no nausea for me yet but oh my word the hunger!!! I eat a meal and within an hour I’m starving again! Never known anything like it 🙈
