I've had a few nights with leak marks but it seems to be very random when it happens. Freaked me out at first haha also weighed myself this morning and I've put on around 26lbs but have been eating chocolate non stop since Christmas haha

havanamama · 30/12/2022 18:23

I’ve been on chocolate like crazy as well! I got loads of Hotel Chocolat in the sales and it’s so addictive!

trying to incorporate more salads now that it’s less cold in England.

Babynum2 · 30/12/2022 19:38

I've got a UTI and it's very painful I feel absolutely drained. I really can't wait for this pregnancy to be over and to have him here. I've had every bloody sympton and illness possible!

TeddyBeans · 30/12/2022 21:07

@Babynum2 hope you feel better soon. You'll have little one here before you know it! It's kinda scary how close they are to making their appearances now

Anyone been given ferrous sulphate? My iron levels came back really low so I’ve got to take it 3 x a day. Glad it’s just anaemia and not a heart condition as id been so breathless and heart racing. Has anyone else had this? X

I think I got this, or something sounding very similar, during my first pregnancy. Dr said to take it with vit C on an empty stomach. It worked but it took a few weeks to get the energy back.

Room4onemore · 30/12/2022 22:58

How’s everyone doing, I’ve been so grumpy the last couple of days and I don’t know why. Hubby said something to me earlier and I burst out crying, kids think I’m mental lol

alotoftutus · 30/12/2022 23:46

@Room4onemore I've been a hormonal mess too - so much so I actually told DH I wanted a divorce a few days ago 😆 I can't even remember what he did so it wasn't exactly serious. I've been generally hating all people, and getting upset over the smallest thing - like my local shop not having the specific apple juice I fancied. Pretty sure my kids think I hate them too, I am not a decent human being right now!

iratepirate · 31/12/2022 09:46

I’m so fed up of constant nausea. Does anyone have any suggestions for remedies?

havanamama · 31/12/2022 10:35

@Room4onemore My hormones have not changed my mood at all these 7 months, however, I have a lot of anxiety around being the only person in charge of monitoring baby’s movement patter.

The sole responsibility of that is draining me, and with anterior placenta it’s been a real job to be so in tune with the movements.
Can’t wait when she’s out and husband and I can both look after her.

havanamama · 31/12/2022 10:36

I have woken up with a cold. What a way to end 2022 lol

TeddyBeans · 31/12/2022 11:23

@iratepirate I've just stopped taking loratadine which I found helped with the constant nausea. It's been two days and I'm starting to regret it already. It's an OTC antihistamine but you might be better off getting someone else to pick it up for you if you wanted to try it.

@havanamama aww man that sucks. Hope you feel better soon. I think I'm finally just about managing to shift the last of my cold...only 2 weeks after picking it up this time!

Hi,
Got checked out and thankfully not my waters leaking, Dr just said its likely increase of pregnancy related discharge but more fluid...

I was in the bay where I was induced with my daughter, It was a bit surreal....and then a pregnant woman came in full labour- Took an hr for her to be checked and she was 7cm with contractions every 2mins, It was a bit scary hearing all that again!!!

TeddyBeans · 31/12/2022 14:05

@Cats23 what a relief! It's weird going back into hospital isn't it? When I went to be induced with DS, they had me in the bay my sister was in while she was waiting for her c-section (I was her birth partner). That was a very odd experience

Anyone else feeling pregnant AF??
Oh my god I'm so uncomfortable 🥴

Also my little is transverse, not sure when to start doing spinning babies. I'm 28 weeks. Maybe wait till 30 weeks.

Dreamingof3 · 31/12/2022 15:30

@mrshenny I just came to say basically this 😅 feeling huge today and my back/hips are in absolute pieces, so I'm currently slobbing with my hot water bottle while the kids trash the house 😂
My baby was transverse a couple of weeks ago and now head down, I think they still have quite a bit of time to turn but couldn't hurt to encourage it

Slobbing on the sofa is just what the doctor ordered!! We're putting the Xmas decs away 🥱 well I'm mostly sitting and watching my husband do it but I'm still exhausted 😴 🤣

Rose429 · 31/12/2022 16:48

Since the my last comment, I have gone on a Marketplace hunt and got tons of new born and 0-3 months clothes for free (shout out to the Littlehampton mums!).

Now I need to find some 3-6 months just in case my girl is a big baby/has a growth sprout. What's the advice here? Do you get the usual vests and sleep suits like the first 3 months?

TeddyBeans · 31/12/2022 17:07

@Rose429 you're not far from me, I'm in Worthing 😁 for 3-6 months I've got the following

5x 3-6 vests
6x 3-6 outfits
1x 3-6 romper
7x 3-6 sleep suits
1x 3-6 jacket

I apologise for all the lists, DP has demanded that I don't go overboard so I've kept tally of everything I've bought/been bought for little lady. It's a well founded expectation - I bought 17 pairs of 6-9 month trousers for DS because I didn't keep track of what I had in what size 🫣

More will get bought I'm sure but it's a good sized starter kit to have in advance

Some days I feel really pregnant and others I hardly feel anything at all. It can be really disconcerting but I figure she just sinks into my back a bit further sometimes than others.

After my mention of hiccups a few weeks back she's been treating me to many episodes now. Think I had 3 separate bouts yesterday 😂 she's been quiet in general today but then I've had a really chilled out day so it's hardly surprising.

@mrshenny DD has been head down from day dot. I can't imagine how uncomfortable transverse must be! I'd get going with the spinning babies, you might be able to get baby to move before they get stuck in that position

I tend to stick with mostly sleepsuits for the first year! Short sleeved/legged rompers for the summer months, they're just comfy and easy. Obviously the odd outfit for certain occasions. Also having girls, find dresses a complete faff once they start to crawl!

Rose429 · 31/12/2022 17:36

@TeddyBeans How close! We’re currently in Brighton but looking into buying a house in Worthing/Littlehampton, so yesterday we had a look around the areas as well as picked up baby stuff. We actually got a massive bag of free muslins from Worthing too!

Don’t worry I got a list too 😄 I even label the clothes and but them in separate bags so my DH would know what to get if needed without me shouting at him haha

Rose429 · 31/12/2022 17:40

@Dreamingof3 That’s what I was thinking about how easy sleep suits are! I just got confused when looking at Market place because most of the girl stuff from 3 months onward tend to be like tops, dresses and leggings. And I was like am I missing something here? 😄

Room4onemore · 31/12/2022 19:53

I don’t mind sleepsuits for in the house but I like clothes for when they go out

Franklin321 · 31/12/2022 20:24

I found tops and leggings/trousers actually easier on my son than sleepsuits with lots of poppers 🙄 still did sleepsuits at night but after a couple of months did ‘proper’ clothes in the day! Zippy sleepsuits are fantastic tho and have bought more of those this time round!

Dreamingof3 · 31/12/2022 21:03

Happy new year ladies! I won't make it to midnight 😂
