Due August 2023?

It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@TheBirdintheCave I’ve had the same dilemma with LMP dates both times. My son was a CD19 conception and this one was even later on CD20-21. Last time my lovely GP (who’s since moved on, sadly) said if I was confident of the ovulation date it was fine just to subtract 14 days from that. So I’ve already been doing the same this time without even giving it a second thought.

@xylophone I’m personally probably not going to get the booster as don’t feel I am high risk. I’m not currently working, don’t have plans to use public transport or be in any situations involving crowds. I’m just at home with my toddler most of the time with some park trips and play dates. I’ll just err on the side of being careful instead. If I were still teaching in a busy classroom though, I might make a different decision.

@lemonworld welcome and big congrats on your faint line 😍 fingers crossed all goes well for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼 do you have any symptoms yet?

AnnieApple123 · 24/11/2022 15:53

Welcome @lemonworld !

‘Nother Clearblue OPK stick fan here. Also been trying for #2 for over a year, although not consistently every month. I have a tendency to SAD and had concerns about a mid-winter due date bringing on PND, so took a bit of a break in the middle. Nonetheless it definitely feels like Adair old time.

*a fair old time!

@ChloeN oh yes not worth putting your life on hold, and it sounds safe enough. I'm just a bit of a nervous nelly!

Welcome @lemonworld and huge congratulations! Your exclamation points made me laugh! 😂 Do you know what your estimated due date is?

So I've done a bit of googling and it looks like one step hpts have a tendency of giving faint lines - people seem to say they're great for indicating you're pregnant, but terrible off showing any line progression. Read a few threads with other women with their knickers similarly in a twist to me today! So feeling a bit better but also trying to just take a more relaxed approach. This is meant to be exciting, not scary! (Though this approach is easier said than done! 😂)

TheBirdintheCave · 24/11/2022 16:07

@lemonworld Congratulations and welcome :D

ChloeN · 24/11/2022 17:07

@lemonworld welcome and congratulations! Sounds like it was really long awaited so you must be really over the moon!☺️

@DesertSnow I am as well but I’m really trying to just enjoy it as much as I can! ah I’m really glad that you’re feeling a bit more reassured💕

MsRT · 24/11/2022 17:18

just catching up; been hectic today at work!

@ChloeN yeah I have heard of them. Will definitely give them a go I think but they’re slightly more expensive!

welcome and congratulations @lemonworld❤️

I’m also worried about Christmas events!! It’s my sisters 40th next week and we’re off out for a meal and drinks. I’ve said that I’m looking after my little one the next day so have offered to drive. No idea what my excuses can be for the next one!

@DesertSnow i’ve really not been a fan of the one step tests this week. I feel like the progression has been awful but when I used a frer it was much clearer. I can see it on your tests! Last time I used them they took agessss to get dark xxx

Loudmouth1 · 24/11/2022 17:47

Got a positive test yesterday and made sure again today due around the 3rd of August massive shock only had the implant removed in October and my LG took 6 years to conceive

overwork · 24/11/2022 17:54

@AnnieApple123 that's really interesting about dates, I think I ovulated earlier than expected (Day 10, hence ending up pregnant, it really was not in the plans!), so does that mean I should be thinking I'm a few days ahead?

AnnieApple123 · 24/11/2022 18:44

Welcome @Loudmouth1 ! How old is your LG?

OP posts:
AnnieApple123 · 24/11/2022 18:47

@overwork Yes probably, if you’re certain of dates, since the LMP calculations at this stage are all based on a textbook 28 day cycle with ovulation on day 15.

OP posts:
overwork · 24/11/2022 19:08

Oooh. Well in that case I'm definitely an interloper on the August group!

AnnieApple123 · 24/11/2022 19:26

@overwork 😅🤣 I likely am too as I’m right on the cusp and I went into spontaneous labour 10 days early with my first.

Welcome @lemonworld and congratulations, your post made me laugh. I was also a clear blue ovulation test convert in the last couple of months! But also threw expensive supplements, fancy lube and acupuncture at it, so who knows what did the trick!

Thanks all for suggestions on Christmas parties, the designated driver thing is off the table as I live in London so we just tube everywhere, and I feel the antibiotics would just be so obvious - which isn't necessarily a problem, but with friends and family and would detract from being able to share the news as a surprise in a few weeks/months and with work, I'm just not ready for people to even suspect!

I therefore think I'll go for the wasteful option of accepting booze and just hoping people don't notice when I wonder off shortly after/tip some down the sink/put my lips to the glass but don't drink... I wonder how stealth I can be!

On the due date convo, I also ovulated late on CD18 so I've put in 2 weeks before that as my 1st day of my lmp, so that the calculation is more accurate. I will do the same with the NHS as was pressured into an induction with my little boy as was 2 weeks overdue, and I'm sure he just wasn't ready to come yet so would rather put a later date into the system to begin with!

AnnieApple123 · 24/11/2022 22:25

@Gracie87 Oh goodness, don’t even get me started on expensive supplements. I was taking 600mg of ubiquinol by the end. I’ve also spent a small fortune on acupuncture. I don’t even want to think about how much.

Maybe you could drink water and tell people it’s straight vodka!

She just turned 2 in September 🙂

Mc3209 · 25/11/2022 05:10

Hey lovelies, may I tentatively join please? Got my BFP yesterday, due 5th of August. This is my second baby, I have a DS who is just 2yo.
This feels strangely familiar yet so different with an active toddler in tow 😬

MidnightSunshine12 · 25/11/2022 06:31

Hey all, hoping I can join. Predicted to be due 2nd August after TTC 11 months and with late ovulation.
Feeling very nervous as this is my first, but have had extremely sore boobs since 2dpo and have strong positives.
Terrified of the work Christmas party as I am not known for taking it easy or going sober at an event!!

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 07:08

@Mc3209 congratulations lovely!💕

@MidnightSunshine12 think were due around the same time! It’s my first too☺️xx

Does anyone else feel like they get cramps when they need a wee?! It’s a really weird feeling but it almost gives me a backache and I need to wee constantly, but doesn’t feel like a uti at all?

AnnieApple123 · 25/11/2022 07:25

Welcome @Mc3209 and @MidnightSunshine12 !

I’m also weeing for England. I’ve had quite a few stretchy sort of sensations the last couple of days which have made very nervous. Sometimes they’re quite far over to one side which gets me all panicky about ectopic but realistically I know it’s unlikely.

OP posts:
Mulner88 · 25/11/2022 07:36

@AnnieApple123 oh my gosh, me too!! I felt twinges last night on my left side and went to google (which I shouldn't have) and had myself in an awful state thinking ectopic! I don't feel anything this morning. I'm just worried as they suspected ectopic with my last but feeling more positive today. Then I saw that your bowel is situated more to the left and I felt so gassy last night and one of the symptoms I have is constipation (sorry TMI) so maybe related to this. I'm stepping away from google 🤣

Mulner88 · 25/11/2022 07:36

@MidnightSunshine12 @Mc3209 welcome and congrats 😊

Gracie87 · 25/11/2022 08:33

Haha @AnnieApple123, I love the straight vodka suggestion. And glad I'm not alone in the fortunes spent on various fertility aids. I'll never actually know if anything made a difference!

Welcome and congrats @Mc3209 and @MidnightSunshine12! @Mc3209 I'm due on 4th August and have a 22 month old - I'm sure it will be a very different experience this time around! But also, I did expect that I'd be less neurotic about the whole thing but so far that is not materialising... 😒

TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2022 08:34

Welcome and congrats, newcomers! :) How is everyone this morning?

I'm still panicking over tests here. I thought my cheapies would be control dark by now (which I think is 1000miu/ml) but it's still just the tiniest bit lighter like yesterdays 😂I'm desperate for morning sickness to kick in or something so I have some more symptoms to show its progressing in the right direction.
