It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@TheBirdintheCave how many dpo are you now?? I never knew the control had a number that makes sense now how you get a dye stealer 🤣

Chocolotandtea · 25/11/2022 08:50

Hello! I’m cautiously joining. Taken 2 positive boots digital tests this morning (4 days post missed period).

I say this with a bit of fear and guilt and we only started ttc having come off the pill in recent weeks. I’m very aware that it can be such a long and painful journey for some and I really expected the same for me.

I’m in shock and a bit of denial too. Sending hubby out to the pharmacy at 9
for more tests (can I ask are Digital or non digital better)?

If its a positive then its definitely earlier than expected but a very very wanted baby.

oh and hi @ChloeN 👋🏽

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 08:58

@Chocolotandtea ah hey!! So glad to see you on here🥰🥰 don’t feel guilty for it not taking long, I felt the same but it’s not something you can control!xx

TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2022 09:04

@ChloeN Yeah I think FRERs is 100 but Easy@Home is 1000. I feel like I read that somewhere but can't find it now.

I'm 18dpo. These are the lines as they stand with everything dry for a true comparison. I feel like 18 is maybe a tiny bit lighter than 17 :/

Chocolotandtea · 25/11/2022 09:27

@TheBirdintheCave 18 looks just the same as 17 to me!

Chocolotandtea · 25/11/2022 09:30

3rd positive pregnancy test…it must be true??

ellie0605 · 25/11/2022 09:32

@Chocolotandtea congratulations!!

That's still a worry :/

Chocolotandtea · 25/11/2022 09:38

Sorry @TheBirdintheCave I am failing at being reassuring!!! When is your period due?

Chocolotandtea · 25/11/2022 09:38

Thanks @ellie0605 !

As you know, I had a panic like this too. It was all for nothing. I really feel for you though as it’s so scary whilst you’re going through it.

@Mulner88 My twinges have switched to the other side now which is a relief! They’re still quite uncomfortable and a bit nerve-wracking though.

@Gracie87 Acupuncture got ridiculous for me. I got pregnant with my first on my first cycle after starting acupuncture, so of course I felt I had to do it this time too. Once I’d started, I then didn’t feel I could stop and ended up going most weeks for a full year.

@Chocolotandtea Not your fault! I'm just a massive worrier. AF was due on the 21st. I'm definitely pregnant, I'm just terrified that it's a chemical or that I'll have another MMC.

@AnnieApple123 I run out of tests in seven days time so, if I get that far, then I'll have to go cold turkey haha. I was expecting the line to be at least control dark by now but there's barely any progression from 16-18dpo :/

ellie0605 · 25/11/2022 09:51

@TheBirdintheCave I had something very similar where 2 tests seemed the same a day apart and was devastated, but they got darker after that! I've attached a picture so you can see. I felt the ones at 3+1 and 3+2 were the same but the day after it was much darker! I understand it's so hard not to worry though!

Due August 2023?
AnnieApple123 · 25/11/2022 09:54

Welcome @Chocolotandtea ! Will this be your first?

Definitely don’t feel guilty. Just be glad it’s happened. I think it’s quite normal to feel a huge range of different emotions on seeing that line appear, even you when absolutely wholeheartedly wanted it and the timing is exactly as you would have chosen. It’s undeniably massive and life-changing.

@ellie0605 Those are great lines! I wish I'd had a dye stealer at four weeks 😅

ellie0605 · 25/11/2022 09:59

I think it's just because they're first response tests! And I also ovulated early in my cycle so those dates are from my LMP so I'm probably a bit further along

Ah that makes sense :)

MidnightSunshine12 · 25/11/2022 10:38

How exciting! Ngl I'm terrified and want these early weeks to be over so I can stop obsessing over everything 😬

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 10:54

@TheBirdintheCave have you only been using easy@home, I know you said you were using frer but have you given up with those now? Xx

@Chocolotandtea yay to your third positive🥳🥳

TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2022 11:02

@ChloeN Yeah I only had the one left and they're so expensive it seemed daft to buy more. I already had the cheapies so figured I may as well use them up :)

FlamingoBabe · 25/11/2022 11:15

Hiya! Cautiously joining as got my definite BFP this morning (I did take a test Wednesday evening and it was faint so nice to get the confirmation today!). Going off the nhs calculator my estimated due date is 31st July so who knows if it’ll be July or August. We’ve got a 10 month old DS currently so life is going to get even more chaotic with 2 under 2 eeeeek!!

Due August 2023?
TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2022 11:18

@FlamingoBabe Hi Flamingo! Congrats on your BFP! Quite a few of us are 31st of July as well! :D

FlamingoBabe · 25/11/2022 11:21

Aaah thank you! I noticed that yeh, a popular date. Ahh so exciting, congratulations to you too!
