It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

Also now wondering how I’ll be able to potty train my little boy with a baby in the mix 🤣 @AnnieApple123

TheBirdintheCave · 27/11/2022 18:32

@MsRT I wish I had nausea 😭It's really worrying me that it hasn't kicked in yet.

DesertSnow · 27/11/2022 18:36

@BoodifulGoose I'm with you on the anxiety thing. Best not to google too much!

Congrats and welcome @Moolahdog @Argeebargee88 (yes terrified sums it up - excited of course, but it's hard to get past the anxiety)

And hello @LS888 great to see you here from the short luteal phase thread!

@ChloeN constipation is definitely a symptom! And I'm with you, @somuchtolearnabout @TheBirdintheCave on the tiredness thing - absolutely knackered today!

Since my panic on 16DPO that my tests weren't progressing, I stopped testing for a few days. Tested today 19DPO with just a normal afternoon wee (no significant hold) and got a proper dye stealer so breathing a sigh of relief.

I went out to some drinks last night and just stuck to water. It was easy enough as I was having food at the pub and I said it was just a bit salty so didn't want anything but water. Helped that my husband did the same. Does feel like the next month is going to be a lot of navigating events and trying not to make it obvious!

ChloeN · 27/11/2022 18:40

@DesertSnow fab news so glad you’ve got your dye stealer☺️☺️ I was going to test in the morning but I might not🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 27/11/2022 18:43

@DesertSnow Woohoo for dye stealer! I think I got one this morning, its so close though. Hopefully it will be clearer tomorrow. I've only got five cheapies left and a digi.

MsRT · 27/11/2022 18:48

@TheBirdintheCave i didn’t have nausea until week 7 last time with my little boy. Every pregnancy can be so different. Sending love x

@DesertSnow it must be a day for dye stealers because I got one too today. Congrats!! I think this is my sign to stop testing now haha

somuchtolearnabout · 27/11/2022 18:49

@MsRT Nausea yes, and in waves. I never had anything even remotely sickness related with my first two but it woke me in the middle of the night last night. I don't even know if it's nausea though, it's almost like a tummy ache? Prob not even pregnancy related 😂

MsRT · 27/11/2022 18:49

Also 19dpo here too I think x

BoodifulGoose · 27/11/2022 18:50

I've had some mild cramping and the tiniest nausea and sleep issues but aside from that I feel so normal that I don't think I'd even suspect if I didn't know, I know not having symptoms is as common as having them, and that I'm probably "lucky" not to have them but it's kind of freaking me out that I'm not actually pregnant despite all the positive tests 😂

I think I'm done testing now though for my anxiety, had a break yesterday and did again this morning, definitely darker but not close to a dye stealer, but I think continually checking will just make me more anxious.

I say this now, I have no faith I'll be able to keep it up 😅 but definitely heeding the no digital test advice I think

MsRT · 27/11/2022 18:52

@somuchtolearnabout exactly how I’d describe it too! I didn’t have sickness until week 7 last time and that was only first thing in the morning so this has surprised me 🤣

somuchtolearnabout · 27/11/2022 18:54

Congrats @MsRT @DesertSnow @TheBirdintheCave for the dye stealers! I think I'm behind the majority of you though, we weren't actually "trying" so I can't be absolutely sure when I ovulated, but I think it was around 17th November which would make me 10DPO. I'm making a conscious effort not to be a serial tester because I actually find it causes me more anxiety rather than less. I've had my CB digital which is enough for me for now, and I'll use my CB weeks test next week and then I'll be done.

Anyone else going to have an early scan?

MsRT · 27/11/2022 18:54

@BoodifulGoose oh bless you. I don’t think it will sink in until a scan for me but I’m going to try and steer away from the digitals and testing now too. Still debating whether or not to book an early scan x

somuchtolearnabout · 27/11/2022 18:56

@MsRT Ok that makes me feel better! Because I've never had any sort of nausea before I'm not sure whether this is actually pregnancy nausea. But if you're having the same thing then maybe it is.

Is it weird that I hope it is? Almost gives me some weird reassurance.

ellie0605 · 27/11/2022 18:56

@somuchtolearnabout I totally agree about the anxiety around testing!

I'm definitely going to have an early scan I just need to decide when! The hospital want me to have one between 6-7 weeks but with my mmc the baby was 7+3 so I'd rather wait until after that I think!

ellie0605 · 27/11/2022 18:59

I mean it was 7+3 when the heartbeat stopped... not sure if that was very clear!

MsRT · 27/11/2022 18:59

@somuchtolearnabout I’m debating it. Last time I had two; one at 7 and one at 9 weeks. If I do have a scan I’ll only have one this time at around 8 weeks I think. It seems an awfully long time to wait until 12 weeks.

definitely not weird. All we’ve had so far is a positive pregnancy test so wanting any symptoms to make it seem more real is completely normal IMO 🤍

BoodifulGoose · 27/11/2022 18:59

@MsRT I think it'll be the same here! I have decided yes on early scan as 12 is just too many weeks to wait not knowing what's happening for me!

Gone for the 17th, as will be 8w exactly then!

MsRT · 27/11/2022 19:00

@ellie0605 so sorry to hear about your MMC. Definitely understand why you’d want to wait until after then xx

somuchtolearnabout · 27/11/2022 19:00

@ellie0605 That makes sense. Poor you 😭 I can't even imagine how that must've felt.

I've booked a scan for 22nd which based on the date of my last period would make me exactly 7 weeks. Maybe risky but I did the same thing both other pregnancies. I almost don't even let myself believe I'm pregnant until I see the baby on the screen

DesertSnow · 27/11/2022 19:25

Yay for all the dye stealers! I'm going to stop testing now and I won't be trying a digital as that would make me more anxious, and it's not something that's in my control.

I've just booked an early scan for 19th December, I'll be 8 weeks 2 days by my LMP but as I ovulated CD18, I would expect to measure a bit behind that. Waiting for 12 weeks just seems so long, and we're hoping to tell parents and siblings over Christmas if it's good news. Praying it will be.

ChloeN · 27/11/2022 19:29

Good luck with all your scans ladies I’m sure they’ll all be perfect❤️❤️

We spoke about it today but still haven’t made a decision, think we’re just going to see how we feel over the next couple of weeks

LS888 · 27/11/2022 19:32

Hi @DesertSnow nice to see you in here too! xx

We actually told my parents tonight. We live on the same street and they were helping us with house renovations today. Offered us a beer tonight so I just told them! As we have a drink with them at the weekend regularly I think it would have been too obvious to not say anything until 12 weeks. My mums reaction was not exactly what I expected - she asked if I had my follow up appointment after my MC yet. Which I haven’t. I was supposed to have a colposcopy but nothing has come through yet from gp/hospital. I was going for a smear test on Monday and was going to ask then but I have cancelled it now knowing that it isn’t advised when you are pregnant. I will ring them for advice in the week.

I know she is probably just worried about me and I’m probably over thinking it… but still. My hubby thinks they were both happy for us and I’ve read too much into her questions.

As we hadn’t really told anyone we were pregnant when we had the miscarriage last time, I felt like I had to share happy and sad news in one go. I wanted to share the news earlier this time. So people could be happy for us. Now I’m going through it again, I’m not sure what I want to do.

Sorry for the vent!

ChloeN · 27/11/2022 19:37

@LS888 how long has been since your mc? That’s a bit gutting if it wasn’t quite the reaction you expected😔 it’s hard to know what to do when telling people, is there anyone in particular you’d want to tell?

LS888 · 27/11/2022 19:51

@ChloeN last time we only told my parents. I only found out at about 6weeks that I was pregnant. Then at 11 weeks had some bleeding and had an earlier scan. My husbands parents were staying with us that weekend. So we told them as we had to disappear to go for the scan during the day. And then obviously it was bad news.

But after my parents reaction today, I think we should wait to tell anyone else. As I don’t want everyone to be on egg shells around it. So hard dealing with this after a MC. My husband thinks they were just cautious because I seemed cautious- telling them it was early days yet etc. Such an emotional mind field!!

LS888 · 27/11/2022 19:53

@ChloeN the MC was end of July this year. I think they recommend a colposcopy is no sooner than 3 months after surgical management for a MC so I waited to hear from them about an appointment.
