If anyone wants to join thought it would be nice to chat on here as not planning on telling anyone for as long as possible. 🙂

SkyBlue20 · 18/11/2022 18:50

Hi! I’m very much the same - got my BFP today and due end of July. It’s my second child, third pregnancy - I had a MMC before I had my daughter so trying to keep the anxiety at bay as I was really bad during my pregnancy with my daughter but just telling myself what will be, will be, worrying about it won’t make any difference.
We’re going to tell parents and siblings but leave it at that until after 12 weeks - I think it would be too hard to hide over Xmas as not only would the notice the alcohol but the pate and blue cheese etc, too!
how have you been feeling?

Sunnymummy3 · 18/11/2022 19:50

Hiiii @SkyBlue20 you were on the same ttc thread as me, weren't you? Aw congratulations on your bfp! I'm really so pleased for you! 🎉.

I'm so sorry about your previous loss 🌻 it's already a worry early on, so I can only imagine even more so for you.

I only got my bfp about a week ago, quite early but I do actually feel a bit better about things today as I took a clear blue date test today and it came up correctly at 2 - 3 so made me feel better that at least, for now, hcg is increasing if that makes sense? So by my dates I am 4+2 today. What will you be? It seems like such a long time to wait but i'm sure will fly in 🙂

I don't really have any symptoms, just a little cramping. Do you?

SkyBlue20 · 18/11/2022 20:04

Oh gosh, so I was!! 🙈 Sorry, my head is all over the place! I’m also 4+2 today! It really does feel like we have sooooo long to go - these eight weeks to the 12 week scan are going to be the longest of my life, but at least Christmas/December in general should make it feel a bit faster as it’s usually a busy month.

You got your BFP so early! I got a negative two days ago then a positive today. I’m going to do another test on Sunday to check it’s getting darker and then no more after that.

I’ve had some slight nausea every now and then and my boobs tingle every now and then but nothing too major. With my daughter I got really obvious symptoms (acne and red patches on my face) so I’m wondering if they’re to come or if I just won’t get them this time!

How old are your other children?

Sunnymummy3 · 18/11/2022 21:20

No worries, i'm sure it has been such a shock today for you, but a happy shock 🙂. How did your dp react? Aw cool that we are the same dates! I think it makes the due date as 26th July which was the exact same due date as my oldest! It feels so long but yes, hopefully if we keep busy it won't be too long coming around.

Yes I ovulated quite early... on the 1st of November, but I was so impatient so I was 9dpo on the + test but it was faint and I think testing so early just made me more stressed lol. So you were sensible to hold off.

Oh maybe you won't get any pimples and have a lovely glowing face this time :) 5 and 3. How old is yours?

Hello! Found out last week that I am pregnant and due in July too! This is baby number 2 for me and I have a daughter at 22 months already ❤️ no symptoms as of yet other than being exhausted! I forgot how rubbish the waiting around part of the first trimester was! How are you two feeling?

squirrelnutkins1 · 18/11/2022 21:41

Congrats!
There's a thread here if you want to pop over xx

Due July 2023 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4659595-due-july-2023

TheMumLife3 · 18/11/2022 21:54

Hi, I'm also due in July; the 7th according to my dates. This will be our 4th baby - our finale! I must be crazy - our eldest son will turn 6 in July, our daughter 4 in August and our youngest son 2 in May. So far I'm feeling pretty decent, a bit nauseous and tired. I'm really glad as on my other 3 children I had hyperemesis and it had kicked in by now. I'm actually finding it a bit weird I don't have it currently, but who knows, maybe it'll come 😬

SkyBlue20 · 18/11/2022 22:38

@Sunnymummy3 I ended up texting him 😂🙈 He was thrilled though. My little girl is 20months ☺️ The age gap will be similar to my husband and his brother and they’re super close so I hope it’s a good one for us, too.

@BookishEm the waiting around is the worst, isn’t it?! We have daughters such similar ages 🥰 How’re you feeling about the age gap?

Thanks @squirrelnutkins1, I’ll pop my head in!

@TheMumLife3 Really hope the Hyperemesis doesn’t rear its ugly head for you this time! 🤞🏼

heartbroken22 · 18/11/2022 23:15

So grateful for this thread. 3rd baby due in July too. I'm sure people have seen my threads im terrified as to how I will cope. But glad I have you guys. I'm scared. I had hypermesis too. And im freaked out as to where it is in this pregnancy but yeah im glad I don't have it yet. I really don't want it. I'm planning to keep this pregnancy a secret too for as long as possible. Don't want the stress of people asking questions or trying to look after me.

Sunnymummy3 · 19/11/2022 07:58

@BookishEm Hello! Welcome 🙂 Oh lovely, you will have a similar age gap to skyblue then. I know, I forgot too! I feel fine, a little cramping but only sometimes, apart from that I feel normal... well whatever normal is lol. Are you telling family or anything early on?

@TheMumLife3 Hello and congratulations, good to have someone experienced for advice.
How did you find going from 2 - 3? That's great that you don't have it now then, it would be so hard trying to look after the other 3.

Sunnymummy3 · 19/11/2022 08:12

@SkyBlue20 lol, it's hard to hold it in when you find out isn't it. My dh was in shock for quite a few days but good now, think I was a little in shock too to be fair. Aw that will be a lovely gap, they will be able to enjoy the same activities etc being so close and won't be far apart at school. Just thinking I your gap will be similar to mine as well, they are 2 years 4 months apart. When will you tell your daughter?

@heartbroken22 I haven't seen your threads but I am a bit nervous too, I think that's caused by the unknown of what life with 3 will be like isn't it. What age are your other 2? I have wanted a third since dc2 was born but felt like I would like 3.5+ years age gap so have waited a long time before ttc then when we decided to try and it suddenly happened, there was a little "what have we done, this is real now" at first but I am so happy as it's happened as we hoped and my 2 are dying for another sibling 🙂

@squirrelnutkins1 Thank you, congratulations to you as well! I will have a look for the thread now

BookishEm · 19/11/2022 08:19

@SkyBlue20 this was the age gap we were aiming for as it’s similar to me and my brother and we have always got on really well. I am a bit nervous about having a baby and a toddler! I know the first few weeks won’t be quite as easy as they were first time round 🙈

@Sunnymummy3 I have told my parents and my best friend knew we were trying for a baby so she asked and I was honest but strangely I feel a bit more protective of the news this time round! Though it’s hard not to shout it out to everyone sometimes haha!

BookishEm · 19/11/2022 08:20

@squirrelnutkins1 thanks!

Sunnymummy3 · 19/11/2022 16:50

@BookishEm lol, I know what you mean, I feel like telling the world but at the same time I want to keep it a secret as long as possible. I would love to keep it a secret until about 4 months if I can, hoping with big jumpers etc over the winter will make it easier but we will see how quick I get a bump. How did your parents react? That's lovely your friend knows so you can chat to someone in "real life" about it

Tweetypie27 · 19/11/2022 23:40

I’m due about the 19th July right by my birthday the 16th. All my others are in September so this makes a nice change for me as my daughter was born a day before my partners birthday so this one will be by mine :-)

Tweetypie27 · 19/11/2022 23:42

I will also have a 2.5 year old and newborn I also have three teenage boys so had a big gap. Three is fine you will cope I found 4 easier then 3 for some reason. I wanted my daughter to have a playmate close in age to her.

Tweetypie27 · 19/11/2022 23:42

Oh gosh not a newborn I will have a newborn and 2.5 year old when this one is born so sorry long day!

Sunnymummy3 · 21/11/2022 06:13

@Tweetypie27 Congratulations, do you think your older teens will be a good help with the younger ones?

July is a great month, glad you are getting a time you are happy with, only problem is the summer heat when heavily pregnant, must remember to look for a good fan before then lol. 🙂

OP posts:
Tweetypie27 · 21/11/2022 13:38

Oh yes they help me a lot now look after her while I go shopping etc the 16 & 14 year old are very good. I don’t know how they will feel about anofher crying baby and I’m scared to tell them 😂.
I’m 36 now I’m defo done after this one we were in two minds of having another but she would of been like and only child growing up as my older two will be going to uni so it was a hard one.
i am anxious about it though having a baby and toddler again as I remember how hard it was first time around as I had them so close I didn’t leave the house for about a year as it was just to much.

im hoping as my daughter starts nursery next year three days a week it won’t be as bad but we shall see.

How many do you have now ?

Sunnymummy3 · 21/11/2022 15:52

@Tweetypie27 That's lovely, she will love having a friend to play with.

It will be different this time, I think you will feel more relaxed because you know what you are doing and what to expect.

I have 2 already, this will be my third. I am a bit worried about life with 3, but i'm excited too. I can't wait to meet this one... only about 8 months to go 😂, plenty of time to prepare

OP posts:
Tweetypie27 · 22/11/2022 14:04

You will be fine with three I am doing good with four so it can’t be that bad. I think three is a nice Number my little girl was an accident in the nicest possible way as we didn’t want anymore my youngest at the time was 8 so I was over it all. A summer baby will be nice this time. Have you been to the doctors yet ? I haven’t been yet I was waiting to miss two periods which is what I did last time as I’ve had miscarriages before in between my older kids so I’ve always waited to tell them now.

Sunnymummy3 · 23/11/2022 06:26

@Tweetypie27 so sorry for your losses before. How far away from that second missed period are you now?

No I haven't been, I rang up to see what to do now and was told no need to see the doctor, just self refer to maternity online and I would get an appointment for my 12 week scan so obviously things have changed since I had my last a few years ago lol.

I hope people keep writing their positive comments. I've been struggling with morning sickness and I have bad thoughts. Just read a few comments on here and it's cheered me up~ thank you.

Tweetypie27 · 23/11/2022 11:32

Oh wow can you self refer now I didn’t even know that lol my daughter was born in 2020 and I went to the doctors. I will have to look into that. My second period is due on the 2nd December so I will contact whoever I need to after that.
How are you feeling any morning sickness ? I keep sweating at night I’ve noticed that in my other pregnancies and I’m soaking the bed haha
