Hello, pregnant with my third, from my dates, i'm only just over 4 weeks and due near end July so early days.

If anyone wants to join thought it would be nice to chat on here as not planning on telling anyone for as long as possible. 🙂

I hope the morning sickness eases off for you must be horrible but it’s also a good sign :-)

SkyBlue20 · 23/11/2022 18:40

How’s everyone doing? I’m five weeks today and the nausea kicked in right on cue! Keep getting very lightheaded, too and I am so tired (though that could have a lot to do with a toddler who hates sleep, a house renovation, Christmas and general life!). Oh I have food aversions, too - if it’s not beige, cheese or chocolate, I don’t want it. The unhealthier the better 😂 Not complaining, mind, kind of glad to feel a bit pregnant finally!
I’m going to call to register with the midwife when I hit six weeks and I think it might start to feel a bit more real then, when the medical appointments start rolling in!

heartbroken22 · 23/11/2022 21:34

@Tweetypie27 if that was for me then thank you. I think I have ptsd from past pregnancies and a termination due to the sickness. I'm okay but I hate the full headache. I have to eat quite regularly to stop the nausea and rest a lot.

heartbroken22 · 23/11/2022 21:39

@SkyBlue20 I get very lightheaded too with a dull headache. The fatigue is horrific although I can't nap during the day. Our house is being redecorated too so I know how you feel. And img the food aversions...I can't stand meat at the moment or pasta sauce. I was craving meat last week but this week no no no my body wants chilli and vegan food. Pregnancy does cost a bomb sometimes...in terms of morning sickness, nausea and food. I can't stand making my own food so have asked hubby to pick small bits from here and there snacks and what not.

Sunnymummy3 · 24/11/2022 15:15

@Tweetypie27 I had my last in 2019 and you still went to the doctor then, I assume Covid has changed things. Yours might be different. I would rather the Doctor do the referral though but I wasn't given the option so I guess i'm doing it lol.
Aw that's horrible for you, beach towels required, I got that after birth for about 6 weeks both times something to do with the feeding hormones I think, it wasn't nice, did it last long before?

No symptoms really other than cramping although as well as the usual dull cramping I have been getting sharp pains like a really sore stitch pain when I move or breathe a certain way which I don't remember from before, is anyone else getting this or had this?

OP posts:
Sunnymummy3 · 24/11/2022 15:20

@SkyBlue20 Sorry the nausea has started! Is this about the same time as before for you? Did it last a long time with your dc1? Mine started 7 weeks both times so I am expecting it in another 2 weeks but would love to avoid it of course lol. Chocolate and cheese cravings sound good 🙂👍🏻 Are you having big renovations done? I'm sure it's a pain but good to get it done now before you are too big/baby comes

OP posts:
Sunnymummy3 · 24/11/2022 15:31

@heartbroken22 Sorry you aren't feeling too good, and it sounds like you haven't had an easy time previously either , I hope things go more smoothly for you this time and the nausea doesn't last too long. Chilli and vegan food sounds like healthy cravings! Would you have vegan food before you were pregnant? Oh I like that idea of dh bringing me plates of food, I must tell him it's been recommended 😀

Oh yes I suppose that is a symptom I have too, i'm more tired than usual and no motivation, my get up and go has got up and gone as they say lol.

How far away does 12 weeks for scan etc feel? I'm sure it will fly in.

SSimp24 · 25/11/2022 12:13

Also just found out I'm pregnant with baby number 3, I have a 5 year old and a 2yr8month old :)

Congratulations to you all 🥳🥳

heartbroken22 · 25/11/2022 19:01

@Sunnymummy3 yeah I did have vegan food before pregnancy but these cravings are weird. Once day I want mixed veg and the other day chicken 😂 or a cheese sandwich. I've not been told about my scan but have an appointment with the midwife on Thursday. I've had really bad bad ache today. Pregnancy is awful.

heartbroken22 · 25/11/2022 19:01

@Sunnymummy3 how are you feeling btw?

Sunnymummy3 · 25/11/2022 22:55

@SSimp24 Congratulations! Similar to what I have 🙂 How have you been feeling so far?

@heartbroken22 sorry, I didn't word that very well, normally booking in and first scan are done together in my area and so you don't see anyone until then, (about 12 weeks) so I meant it feels so far away until then.

I'm fine, no cravings etc or anything. Yours are so varied, you will need to keep your fridge well stocked with choices 😊

@Sunnymummy3 yeah that true it does seem far. You're lucky no cravings. I have to have something for the nausea and sickness. Just woke up to have irn bru to stop the nausea and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps. Anything to stop feeling rubbish. Will try to eat healthy when I feel a bit better.

Pink Pamplemousse · 26/11/2022 08:43

Hi, just thought I'd say hello Smile

Also expecting end of July, I'm 5+1 at the moment. Had a MMC in June so I'm nervous but trying not to overthink everything. Had lots of cramps this week but no sickness or fatigue yet. With both previous pregnancies it hit around 6/7 weeks!

squirrelnutkins1 · 26/11/2022 12:27

Congrats!

How is everyone feeling? I feel like I've got a cold coming and I feel off my food and have gone off tea - I normally drink at least 6 a day but I just can't stomach it.

I've kept loads of my dd clothes but have been tempted by some of the Black Friday deals but can't bring myself to buy anything so early.

Is anyone having an early scan? I've got mine on Friday, eek. Booking appointment the following week.

SkyBlue20 · 26/11/2022 12:42

Afternoon all!

@Sunnymummy3 I wasn’t 100% sure on my dates with my DD but I do feel like I had stronger symptoms earlier than now, it feels like a very different pregnancy (and I’m trying not to worry…) The nausea lasted the first trimester but luckily I was never actually sick!
Yeah we’ve got quite big building works going on downstairs in the new year that we’ve just decided we’ll move out for and some smaller works going on upstairs at the moment but I’m just mainly glad that the house will be exactly as we want it by the time the baby arrives and we won’t have to worry about doing anything!

Congratulations @SSimp24! How’re you feeling?

congratulations @Pink Pamplemousse and I’m so sorry about your MMC. I had one before I had my daughter and it did make my pregnancy with her very anxiety-filled, if you feel you are getting that way then please tell your midwife, I wish I had. Other than that, it was a perfect pregnancy though so I hope you get the same (without the anxiety!)

@squirrelnutkins1 exciting that you have a scan coming up! How far along will you be? I would have liked to have booked one at about 10 weeks but also want one before Xmas so I think I’ll book something for around eight weeks instead (which is 2.5weeks from now). I’ve still not even rang the doc/midwife yet, told myself I’d do it when I get to six weeks.

I have on and off nausea but it’s nothing too bad really and I have some food aversions but I’m mainly just EXHAUSTED. That could have a lot to do with the toddler, though. Only 5+3 so a lot could change still. Also, how slowwwwwly are the days going? I swear I turned five weeks about three weeks ago not three days 😫

Sunnymummy3 · 26/11/2022 14:10

@heartbroken22 what a fun breakfast 🙂 Yes food aversions are horrible I remember from before and take ages to pass. Remember once we hit the second trimester, we will all be glowing and full of energy 😁

@Pink Pamplemousse congratulations! Sorry for the worry. All the cramping is a good sign baby is getting tucked in nice and secure 🙂 What age is your older dc?

OP posts:
Sunnymummy3 · 26/11/2022 14:23

@squirrelnutkins1 How exciting! I bet you cant wait! I will have around 7 more weeks to wait until my scan, although I've not got it booked yet, hope it goes in fast.

Me too, I have been doing a bit of perusing online. It's very tempting isn't it 😆

@SkyBlue20 Maybe you are pregnant with a boy this time... I have heard people say symptoms were different with a different sex. 🙂
That is alot but i'm sure will be lovely once it's all done. Yes it feels soooo long away. I thought it would go faster having a busier house this time but so far it's slow. 5 lonnnng weeks, like the Titanic meme... that's actually meant for near the end of pregnancy but i'm using it now ⬇️ 🤣

@SkyBlue20 I'll be 8 weeks exactly, well according to my dates.

@Sunnymummy3 I'm nervous but feeling mostly optimistic.

Ohh I'm with you 100% it's going soooooo slow!!

SSimp24 · 26/11/2022 21:42

@Sunnymummy3 not feeling too bad at the moment, have waves of nausea but not often at the moment. Just feeling tired really ☺️

Thank you and thank you @SkyBlue20 too 😌 my daughter turned 4 in October. I never thought we'd end up with a large age gap but what with covid and life in general it just didn't happen and it's kind of now or never now!!

It's so hard to try not compare to your previous pregnancies isn't it!!

Pink Pamplemousse · 26/11/2022 21:51

Sorry, should have said thanks @Sunnymummy3 and @SkyBlue20 - is it too early to say baby brain? Haha

SkyBlue20 · 27/11/2022 06:23

I’ve woken up feeling SO anxious today. I think it’s because I told a few friends last night (who would be the ones I’d turn to if anything went wrong anyway) and I also booked a scan so now I’m convinced it’s all going to go wrong and am scrutinising my lack of symptoms and every tweak and pinch. Luckily, I’m working today, so hopefully I’ll be busy enough to not dwell on it. I’m just setting little milestones for myself, the next is six weeks and I just cannot wait to get there (three days to go!) 😫

I feel like I could have written this myself! I'm 6 weeks on Friday and I'm the same, pretty anxious and just hoping I make it further than last time.

When have you booked a scan for? I was thinking of booking one for 8 weeks fingers crossed xxx

Pink Pamplemousse · 27/11/2022 13:29

Also meant to add- I've also had no symptoms other than cramping! Don't know if this is a good or bad thing! Argh it's not easy is it. Big hugs xxx
