NC for this (long time poster).

My head is in a complete spin. I'll be 48 next month and have a 6 y/o I gave birth to when I was 41. It took seven years and two miscarriages to produce our dear child. I so thought I was done.

No, I haven't used contraception or even kept up with avoiding sex in mid-cycle. Yes, I'm an idiot. But I so thought that was all over....

We are so not up for this. No way. Looking at my options.

Holy fuck, really? Thanks for letting me rant, I cannot believe this.

Awful experience to have away from home, and to have to look after your son throughout. Hope you are okay and resting up now OP, and that someone is looking after you. Sounds as if it's all for the best, but still a difficult experience. 💐

Pipsquiggle · 08/11/2022 06:34

Hope you are OK OP

Miscarriages are never easy. Rest up and be kind to yourself x

Hope you are OK OP Flowers

😂Very funny, but It's still not nice...

Goodgreiftroolyrooly · 08/11/2022 09:52

Laughing @HoarHouse

It's ramping up now and I'm starting to get a bit frightened, although I shouldn't be. It's just that I'm having flashbacks of my last m/c at 12 weeks.

Telling myself it won't be the same. That was a very different situation. But I have many towels next to the bed, and a bucket. Sorry if that's too much to hear.

Also reminding myself that we have a local hospital literally down the street, if the blood loss scares me. As in- we live at Number 2 Smith St and the hospital is Number 249 Smith St.

Hand hold pls

OP, maybe you should call your GP and let them know what's happening?

Handhold here, but it sounds like it might be a good idea to get in touch with HCPs.

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 08/11/2022 10:03

Sending a handhold OP. FX the bleeding doesn't get to heavy and this is all done and over soon.

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 08/11/2022 10:11

Hope the bleeding beaded soon, and glad Mother Nature stepped up to the plate at last.

Lividity · 08/11/2022 10:16

Handhold here, from another older-mum-Bluey-fan-previous-infertile who cannot imagine the physical and emotional strain of what you’re going through.

Be prepared to need some counselling to help get your head straight. It’s too much to process right now.

Hope you are okay x

mauvish · 08/11/2022 10:59

Hope you're OK there, OP. Is there another adult with you? Are you having to do childcare at this moment?

Goodgreiftroolyrooly · 08/11/2022 13:40

Thanks all, I'm ok. But I do think it's over now.

I passed a golf ball sized clot and the pain stopped, and the bleeding has slowed. Far out I never want to do this again.

DH is here and DS is well asleep (it's after midnight here). Feeling wobbly but pretty sure it's done.

Having a sugary cup of tea. Thx all so much again, this is horrible

Yes that's how my miscarriages ended as well.

Take it easy.

If your pain comes back you will need to go and checked - it's extremely rare but you need to make sure everything has been discharged

Wishing you the very best.

What a very hard few days you have had.

Time to mind yourself and be minded.
