Although we have no plans to find out the sex, I have a feeling bubs is a boy.
We have a name we both like for a boy and for a girl, DH would like to name after his late mum.

@BobbySD345 omg you understand with the toddlers you can’t force them to walk !! If they don’t want to walk they won’t. I did a test run recently went to a Westfield and she refused to walk. I ended up having to walk to the car and getting the buggy so she could be pushed on luxury.

My car boot is on the smaller side so a double buggy probably won’t fit . I already struggle with my buggy and it’s weight . A buggy board or sit won’t be sufficient as she likes to sleep in the buggy. I am hoping maybe the first few months I can get away with having newborn in the carrier and toddler in buggy or I’m just going to have to cave and have a huge double buggy 😢😢😢😢

@drinkingallthegin oh your so good you have a name I’m so indecisive.

@firsttimelondonmummy in terms of holiday - it really depends on you and baby . By 8 weeks if it wasn’t covid restrictions we would have gone away . We had gone into a full routine with her and tbh I found the first three month the easiest with her as she just fell wanted to sleep . Once the weaning began I found it more stressful. Book your holiday - look forward to it and hopefully everything falls into place .

Thanks @Zaalfruit I think I’ll keep it in the diary as something to look forward to and worst comes to worse I’ll move it and lose out on the hotel.

Hi i Had my 20 week scan yesterday 🥰 I loved it! It was much longer than the 12 week one so I got a longer look at her wriggling and stretching about 💗

they talked me through every part of the baby’s body/brain/lungs/heart telling me what they look for and let me see as they explained everything looked perfect.

This week I’ve really started feeling the kicks! They’ve been quite low down, all the kicks I thought I was feeling in the waiting room turned out to be punches as she was doing it in my scan, he was showing me her arms punching my bladder and said that why I will keep needing a wee hahaha

aww and you can actually see her little face on the scan 🥺💗 can’t wait to meet her! Good luck to everyone else with their 20 week scans! Ask loads of questions so you get to look for longer 😂 x x x x

crashing from the July due date threads (it’s nice to read the other due date threads to know what might be in store for the next few months ☺️)

@ImHopeful2023 just wanted to reassure you it’s completely normal & expected to have ‘high’ white blood cell counts in pregnancy (and CRP which is another inflammatory marker). This is become of the stress pregnancy places on your body. I have hyperemesis and have had many blood tests this pregnancy all with white blood cell counts between 12-13

Looking for some advice from the second time mums.

I have a free trip to Paris from work that I need to use and we were thinking of going at the end of August all being well.
We would be on the Eurostar rather than flying and the trip would be 3 nights and 4 days.

Is it a bad idea to go on holiday with a 2 month old?

Honestly, as a first time mum with a 2 month old I don't think we would have had a good time at all. I still felt very freshly post-partum at that point and was absolutely shattered. I was still bleeding then and my stitches hadn't fully healed. Never mind how much stuff you would have to take with you which on the train would be a nightmare. We managed our first holiday in the UK with him at 7 months old and that was good but we travelled by car and spent a lot of time chilling out at the accommodation.

Lovely seeing all the scan pics 🥰 so nice to see the babies growing.

Had my 20 week scan today at 21+3. Sooo many measurements but thankfully everything was normal. I never really enjoy the NHS scans as they are so clinical, you don’t really get a chance to actually see the baby, just hundreds of close ups of its internal organs lol. Has anyone had the internal scan to check your cervix? It was a bit odd but apparently mine is long and closed which is supposed to be good and low risk of premature labour.

Feeling lots of kicks these days which makes me so happy, some of them are getting so big, my husband even felt one. It has done wonders for the anxiety. Hoping everyone who is feeling anxious gets some big daily kicks soon.

Someone was asking about white blood cell counts and mine were raised when they did my last bloods but they didn’t give me a number.

I got signed off work yesterday for 4 weeks due to my rib and shoulder pain. I’m looking forward to having a slower pace, being able to rest more and feeling pulled in fewer directions.

Has anyone else lost their appetite. I had bad n&v first 3 months and I was looking forward to 'eating for 2' excuse in my 2nd trimester. But now I just don't want to eat, im having to remind myself to eat.

Im not a huge eater anyway even when im not pregnant and even with my first 2 I never ate a lot and had no cravings (apart from roasted vegetables) but really wanted to just eat and enjoy myself but it's not happening
