Gorgeous scan pictures ladies 🥰 love seeing them!

Past couple of days I've been walking with my dog and have started getting low down pain , feels like I've done about a thousand sit ups, really sore heavy feeling! So then I have to walk really slow as it hurts. After sitting down/ laying down for a bit the pain wears off! So weird.

Only seems to happen on a walk 🤔

I have a drs app on Monday for a different pain I've been getting (so many pains haha) when I lay on my side (pins and needles in my hip) so will ask about it then!

Has anyone had similar?

Yep, I get this and did in my first pregnancy too. It only gets worse the more pregnant you get 😣

Belami · 20/01/2023 18:16

Did you @Algor1thm :( did you ever find out what it was??

HalWin2221 · 20/01/2023 18:50

Hi all!

so lovely to see everyone’s 20 week scans!
I’m 18 weeks tomorrow and I don’t feel like I’ve felt any movement yet, no flutters or anything? Has anyone else not felt anything yet?

It's just the weight of the bump dragging down on your muscles and ligaments I think. I did develop SPD towards the end of my first pregnancy and I'm sure I will again with this pregnancy, so it might be related to that. A pregnancy support belt really helps for walks 😊

firsttimelondonmummy · 20/01/2023 21:13

@HalWin2221 I’m 18+2 and still not felt anything either and I’ve got a high posterior placenta.
Sonographer actually said oh so you’ve not felt anything yet when checking my dates and I said no but was shocked she’d said that.
She then told me it is usually later with your first which stopped me worrying.

Hi all just wondering how is everyone sleeping I keep trying to sleep on my left side but sometimes it's my right side or stomach I'm told all ok not to sleep on my back is only way not to sleep is this right ?

toomanysausages · 20/01/2023 23:42

I'm 17+3 and have felt a few flutters. They feel like tiny very light pokes actually. Lower down nearer my knickerline which is where baby's feet were on Sunday so I suppose that makes sense.

I'm sleeping on my side/front mostly but I can feel the big lump when I lie completely flat on my front which is quite uncomfortable so try to angle front sleeping. Grin

theblueflowers · 21/01/2023 08:35

@ImHopeful2023 recommendation from Tommy's is to not sleep on your back from 28 weeks, so don't worry if that happens! My midwife told me that for now, sleep in the position that feels most comfortable for you, so that could be side or stomach. I'm rolling all over the place!

ImHopeful2023 · 21/01/2023 08:44

Hi @theblueflowers thanks you read so many things online it's so confusing

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 21/01/2023 13:11

I'm carrying high with this pregnancy like my last one. Feels like all my organs are squashed into my ribs 😂

Zaalfruit · 22/01/2023 06:52

Does any second / third time mums have obvious bumps - my bump looks huge and I am worried I will look like a ship by May/ June .

i am basically eating the same as usual - so I don’t understand why my bump is so big .

Worried it might be diabetes now ? Do you reckon I could ask to be checked .

Belami · 22/01/2023 09:46

@Zaalfruit I'm a first time mum but I think my bump looks quite obvious now, it's getting harder to cover! However I got told by someone it's small yesterday so I guess it's just subjective? Try not to worry , have you got a midwife app coming up? You could always ask them about it xx

Hlc86 · 22/01/2023 09:48

Second time mum here and still not showing at all, I swear people think I'm making it all up 😂, I get bloat in the evening and I finally think I've popped but gone down again my morning, with my first I didn't show unill well over 20 weeks, I'm currently 18+2 weeks so thinking it will pop soon

BobbySD345 · 22/01/2023 10:09

I have embraced my bump now. It is getting really big. I got my maternity stuff down from the loft and other than jeans, tights and leggings, I reckon I have enough to get me through thankfully. Otherwise I will be looking on Vinted !

I can feel her wiggling away like mad as I type this because I'm in the middle of my glucose test so I think it's sent her hyper ! Not eaten since dinner last night and all I can think about are belgian buns 😋 🤣

Hope everyone is doing OK 🥰

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/01/2023 10:37

Second time mum here. My bump has definitely popped but I carry high so the bump starts under my boobs and goes right to pubic area. It's not stuck out too much just long 😂20 weeks today! Halfway! Got my 20 week scan Wednesday and Doppler too. Hope DD has grown ok since last scan.

BobbySD345 · 22/01/2023 11:09

This was a couple of weeks ago. Excuse the dusty mirror. It's hard to hide now in anything remotely close fitting.

Happinessandrainbows · 22/01/2023 11:17

@BobbySD345 love seeing other people's bumps! Mine is tiny at 17 wks, FTM.

LT103 · 22/01/2023 12:20

this is my first pregnancy. I’m 20 weeks and feel like my bump has got huge in last couple of weeks. Belly button starting to show as well now when it used to be such an innie!! Just embracing it, think I’m gonna end up huge tho!!

Excuse the pyjamas 😂 we are still pretty teeny! (18+3 first baby).
I bloat a lot in the evenings but by the morning it’s gone again.

@LT103 I'm same as you I feel huge I'm.21 weeks thank god for maternity clothes any one good shops online to get them from ?

Happinessandrainbows · 22/01/2023 13:40

@ImHopeful2023 my jeans felt too tight so got a pair of maternity ones from H&M online, they're lovely. It works with a small bump but I can see there's also a lot of space for stretching.

Kelvie103 · 22/01/2023 14:10

I got some maternity jeans from H&M yesterday and they're quite comfy. Still a bit big for me at 18 weeks but very stretchy. I'm in that annoying stage where my normal jeans are starting to feel a bit uncomfortable but the maternity ones are a bit big. Hoping I can get through the winter without having to buy any winter tops or jumpers. Seraphine seems to have some nice jeans and are on sale at the moment so might get a couple of pairs while they are as theyre quite expensivefull price. I pretty much live in my jeans!

Algor1thm · 22/01/2023 14:17

Second baby and I am HUGE! Looking at old pics I'm at least 6-8 weeks ahead of what I looked like last time. It's definitely not because I'm eating more than last time or anything, it's a second baby thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/01/2023 14:44

@ImHopeful2023 I have bought some bits due to bloating badly during the day.

ASOS have some great pieces!

@Zaalfruit someone asked when I was due at 8 weeks… so yes, I’m huge now. I was only just in maternity clothes at 12 weeks with DC1 (because I wanted to be rather than because I needed to be. Probably look about 8 weeks ahead compared to last time.
