@justbelieve I had a private panorama test and received the results after 10 days. The report gave me a statistic for my risk factor based on age and such like and then the risk factor based on the blood test results. As far as i am aware the lowest risk factor the Panorma test reports is less than 1 in 10,000 (which I was lucky to have in all tested conditions.
I have my NHS Nuchal Scan tomorrow afternoon so I will see what happens then.
@firsttimelondonmummy I am always feeling like I'm sooo lazy, I guess we should try to go easier on ourselves but it's hard not to see the exhaustion as laziness.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 28/11/2022 14:39

Congrats on all the lovely scan photos everyone! I'm excited to see mine tomorrow. Going to tidy the lady garden this evening TMI as I fear it might be internal again 😂

I was craving a cheese panini last night and DH bless him found one and ordered from takeaway. I got profiteroles for dessert tonight yum!!

Brownsauce89 · 28/11/2022 14:59

Hi everyone! Congratulations to all the June due dates 🥰 I have been following along but I’ve been too nervous to post in case I jinxed anything. But I just had a successful 12 week scan (I’m 13 weeks, due 5th June) so thought I’d finally post!

The sonographer couldn’t get the NT measurement in the scan, has this ever happened to anyone? If anyone has done the harmony or panorama test privately could you share your experience? Thank you!

firsttimelondonmummy · 28/11/2022 15:05

Hi @Brownsauce89 congrats!
@justbelieve was asking the same thing earlier on.
I’m having a private Harmony Wednesday and happy to update everyone after.
For info I’m in London and using a reputable clinic and it’s costing me £525.

@Zaalfruit Hope all goes well with your consultant appointment on Monday.

@Ally1992 @astroH @MrsP4 Love the scan pics and congratulations all x

@winduppenguin Here's a link to an article which discusses the risk in game meat to pregnant women and young children if lead shot is used to kill the animal. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/oct/08/pregnant-women-pheasant-deer-grouse

@hlc86 I have just started thinking about names, having leapt the formidable hurdle of the panorama test! I have a short list....

@Brownsauce89 I had the panorama test recently, the results took about 10 days to come back, which felt like FOREVER. I received a risk based on age/weight etc and then the actual risk based on blood test results, it was very reassuring as I got the lowest result they give on this test for all checked conditions, less than 1 in 10,000. I am really glad I did it, I can't remember the exact price but I had to have a scan first, as I hadn't yet had one with the NHS and then the bloods taken, came in at around £500. And the Gynaecologist was lovely.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord Good luck tomorrow, and me too. I have to go to a work xmas do tonight and come up with some genius plan as to why I'm not drinking... UGH

Didn't realise there was another thread 😂

HalWin2221 · 28/11/2022 16:12

for those of you that have had your 12 week scan or got your date for it, how long did it take to get your appointment after your first midwife appointment? ☺️ had my appointment Friday and already inpatient about wanting to know when it is! Haha

I got my letter 4 days after my booking in appointment, scan is next Tuesday! Cannot wait

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 28/11/2022 17:05

@HalWin2221 2 days I think. I think I had the midwife app on a Tuesday and by the Thursday I got an appointment for 12 weeks through email/text.

@dresslol Pretend to be on antibiotics??? 😂

firsttimelondonmummy · 28/11/2022 17:12

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I was going to say the same thing 😂 antibiotics are definitely the shout @dresslol or go with the saving yourself for Christmas or just trying to loose weight/ cut down consumption (all excuses I’ve used 🤣)

My scan went well today. Bubs was not playing ball and a bit camera shy so pics look...interesting.
Such a relief to have seen the heart beating and baby dancing away.

Ally1992 · 28/11/2022 18:51

@HalWin2221 it was only about 3 or 4 days for me as well

@DrinkingAllTheGin such a cute photo 😊 what due date did they give you?

B1993 · 28/11/2022 19:16

Congratulations to all of you ladies who had successful scans today!! 😍

It's interesting that someone mentioned not having a full enough bladder so it took ages... I had the complete opposite problem when I had mine and was told that my full bladder was pushing everything back so she couldn't get measurements. Thankfully she asked me to go to the toilet and the scan still seemed clear, but I didn't feel like I was going to wet myself! I forgot how much pressure they need to use 😅

I'm sorry I can't remember who asked for gender predictions, but I'd have voted for boy based on skull theory.

RE names, I've kept the list of names on my notes since my DS and I've added to it since, for when the time came. Some I look back on and wonder why I ever added it, but there's a good few potentials.

B1993 · 28/11/2022 19:18

Now that so many of us have had scans, what's everyone's new due dates? My official
date is 3rd June - any date twins?! 🥰

Court9896 · 28/11/2022 19:24

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone could help, I came of my depo injection about 5 months ago and have been TTC for baby number 3 since I've been feeling really off lately very emotional, sore boobs and cramping, I haven't had a period since before my youngest 3 years ago and last week I had a tiny bleed more like spotting I took a clear blue pregnancy test lastnight and came back positive1-2 weeks and then another a few minutes later and said not pregnant i then took another clear blue this morning and a £2 pregnancy test and they both came back negative am so confused to weather or not am pregnant with having 2 negatives😩😩 have this happened to anyone

DrinkingAllTheGin · 28/11/2022 19:32

@Court9896 you may be better off starting your own thread.

My due date was moved by 1 day making me June 12th.

PurBal · 28/11/2022 19:36

Can I join!?
EDD 14 June.
Scan next week. (at 12+6)

pippabg · 28/11/2022 20:13

Was hoping to find a group like this! Had my 12 week NHS scan today and all looked fine - due date 10th June!

Now getting a little nervous waiting for my blood results for the combined screening... NT measurements looked fine, just worried about the blood measurements!

Can I ask why some of you ladies went private for Harmony/NIPT testing (are they the same?) It's my first pregnancy, so a lot to learn!

It's generally older mums who opt for the full screening as they have a higher chance of genetic conditions, or sometimes it's because they have had a previous TFMR or have a condition in the family. Not always, but usually there's a factor that leads people to pay privately, as it's very expensive!

Algor1thm · 28/11/2022 20:23

@pippabg and congrats on your healthy scan!

Fredthespider · 28/11/2022 21:00

@B1993 We’re due date buddies. I got brought forward 2 days at the scan. Previous babies have been early so thinking late May is more likely for me 😊

firsttimelondonmummy · 28/11/2022 21:15

@pippabg firstly congrats and welcome to the group 😊
Secondly re NIPT, I am in my early 30’s so not entitled to the testing on the NHS.
For me it was three main things.
You can have and from as early as 9 weeks’ (my scan isn’t till 13.5 and I’d rather know if a condition was present sooner rather than later).
Accuracy- it has a high detection rate for trisomy Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s Syndrome (99.9% detection of Down’s affected pregnancies).
Lastly the fact that the combined screening detection rate for Down’s is only 75 – 90% depending on the hospital you are screened in.
We don’t feel capable of raising a child with special needs and so want to know our results with almost certainty.

I had the combined test on the NHS today. But I'm OLD! Results, apparently if high they call in 5 working days, and a letter in 10 days regardless.

pippabg · 28/11/2022 22:10

Thanks for the information and nice welcome @firsttimelondonmummy!

@DrinkingAllTheGin I also had my NHS screening and scan today. Want to keep each other updated on the results? Also, do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm 33 - not old, but certainly don't feel young the way medical professionals talk about fertility!

Marmiteontoastyum · 28/11/2022 23:45

Very cute bubba pic @DrinkingAllTheGin 😍🥰
