@natkasz my bmi is 30.1 and I have not been told to take the higher dose of Folic acid . They placed me on the obese category. However as I am just over they told me to take the normal amount . I hope that is a little reassuring.

@b1993 ooh your right it’s an necessary inconvenience , but safety first for you and baby ! I think you should get scan !! That’s an amazing present.

@Algor1thm having a toddler basically means you never stop right ! This is how I feel - my toddlers 2 as well, from the moment they are up till they go to sleep you are basically running around . I need to potty train her but Being pregnant I am putting it off. 😂

We were on the same due date group last time!! I've had a name change but was bluemoon 😅 Can't believe we're pregnant at the same time again!

Morning all!
Had our Harmony today was such a great process (we went to Harley Street Ultrasound) super lovely people and the blood test was painless and fast.
We also got a really comprehensive scan where she checked spine, kidneys, arms and legs and did a nuchal test.
They also sent me a million photos!
Worth every penny and results to follow in 7 days 🤞🏻 keeping fingers crossed we are low risk for everything.

Thank you so much for sharing @firsttimelondonmummy. Sounds like such a good experience and really worth it. 🥰

I can’t decide if to go ahead, I’m disappointed they couldn’t do the NT measurement at my 12 week scan really, like I don’t even get to go back and try again!

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/11/2022 13:04

@Brownsauce89 no worries, it definitely was 😊
My report was so comprehensive too!
I’ll attach for reference.

Finally got my 12 week scan date through (I'm 11+1 today based on a scan at 8 weeks). The scan was, however, today (!) but the letter didn't arrive until after the appointment time due to postal strikes! Have rescheduled for next Tuesday when I'll be 12 weeks exactly. Apparently today would have been too early anyway, so it's probably saved me some hassle overall. Nervous about the scan as my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage around 10/11 weeks, so I'm super anxious at the moment. I think I've already gone further than last time though, and apart from my symptoms easing off a lot in the last 5 days or so, everything seems to be going ok. I don't really feel pregnant though! Anyone else noticed that they're feeling better by around 11 weeks? Really hope it's not a bad sign, I guess time will tell...

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/11/2022 15:29

@ireneadler101 I hardly had any symptoms the whole way through but the last couple weeks I keep forgetting I’m pregnant due to a lack of any symptoms.
I had a scan today at 11 +1 and all looked great.
She said to stop getting anxiety about it and to consider myself lucky and so I’m trying to start seeing it that way 💖

@firsttimelondonmummy firstly great pic and it’s so in dept amazing - really worth it !

@Algor1thm The October 2020 group? Everyone now has either another little one or one on the way ! We all needed to wait till we forgot what it felt like being pregnant.

@Brownsauce89 that’s really unfair is there any reason they can’t offer you another scan . I had two scans because on my first scan it was to hard to do the measurements so they told me come up in a week and try again . Are you able to speak to a midwife to give you another scan - just for reassurance?

We are due date twins as I'm exactly 12 weeks next Tuesday and also have my first scan on that day😁

Yep 😊 I knew I recognised your username! How funny that we're pregnant at the exact same time again! How's your little one doing?

My last pregnancy I felt a lot better by week 11 - as you start to hit the second trimester , the hormones settle a bit.

I hope you can settle yourself till your scan I know it’s easy for me to say . however we are all rooting for you !

Zaalfruit · 30/11/2022 18:39

@Algor1thm small world ! She’s a terror a proper lockdown toddler - wild and no cares given . How’s your toddler ! I also feel like I’m showing a lot faster this time.

Has anyone been hit by the pregnancy fatigue but also the pregnancy insomnia?

pippabg · 30/11/2022 19:43

I've been on progesterone from week 6 due to bleeding. I'm due to come off it at the end of this week (week 12), but very nervous! Any body in the group have experience with this?

blebbleb · 30/11/2022 20:15

Can't believe it's my 12 week scan on Monday. Starting to feel real now! Definitely not showing yet even though it's my second pregnancy. I've had such a funny tummy the last few weeks. Terrible wind and diarrhoea! On a plus note I've lost a few lbs. Hoping not to gain too much during this pregnancy as my bmi is higher this time round.

tigerlily0 · 30/11/2022 21:49

Is anyone suffering from SPD? Mines awful, how am I going to last 6 more months like this

I have no idea! They didn’t even offer me the option of another scan, or explain the quad test. It was only when I got home I realised it doesn’t give you all the same information! Good thinking, I’ll call tomorrow and see what they say. I’m 14 weeks Monday so not got much time now!

NalaNana · 30/11/2022 22:07

@Brownsauce89 same happened to me, baby wouldn't stop wriggling so couldn't get the nuchal measurements. I had a blood test which apparently tests for downs but nothing else. He said they would check everything at the 20 week scan but I am a bit nervous about waiting that long only to be told devastating news!

He did say that whilst he couldn't get the measurements, the fluid didn't look "chunky" and he was satisfied that in his view, it was low risk, but obviously that's no guarantee.

Marmiteontoastyum · 01/12/2022 21:59

Some beautiful bubba pictures ladies 😍

We had our 12 week scan today. Was so scared at the beginning of the scan I was crying but was delighted to see baby is fine. 🥰

Yes, same I’ve been on cyclogest as this is an IVF pregnancy. I took my last pessary today. It’s nerve wracking but my clinic said to stop at 12 weeks because placenta has taken over so just need to trust in the science ❤️

B1993 · 02/12/2022 09:05

@Marmiteontoastyum, ahhh, it’s so lovely seeing more of these gorgeous scan photos! 🤩 I’m pleased everything was as it should be! Have you got a new DD now?

BobbySD345 · 02/12/2022 12:54

I found the new thread! I was I getting withdrawal symptoms from you all!

I noticed mention of cyclogest pessaries. I was going to message Tommy's as I can't remember whether I am meant to take them to 12 weeks or 14 weeks? I have 14 in my mind for some reason.

Does anyone have their dating scan next week? I feel like I am quite behind compared to most in the group. EDD 25/6/23 although I won't get that far, they will induce me early.

justbelieve · 02/12/2022 13:13

@BobbySD345 my EDD is 26/06/2023, however I’ve got my dating scan on 14th Dec - the anticipation is excruciating 🤣

firsttimelondonmummy · 02/12/2022 14:03

@BobbySD345 my EDD is 20/06/22
I have also felt really far behind 😭

@justbelieve I’ve not got my dating scan till the 19th 😩

This might sound silly (first pregnancy and inexperienced and anxious!), but I had rare beef in a sandwich today without releasing it was bad. It was pink, but not raw. Is this something to be worried about and should I go to the doctor? Or am I overworrying?

Try to put it out of your mind and not worry. There's nothing you can do about it now and the chance of it causing a problem is miniscule. Loads of people ignore health advice/don't even know they're pregnant and their babies are fine ❤️ Tbh there's not much point in going to a doctor, there's nothing they can do. I'm sure you'll be fine! I did similar with smoked salmon in my first pregnancy.

Heyyy! I've got my dating scan on Tuesday I cannot wait! My due date is the 20th of June but I have a feeling that will change to around the 27th or 28th as I'm pretty sure I ovulated late 😬
