@s14a I had bloods done this morning so waiting on results 🤞

Coffeeforlife · 17/11/2022 16:37

@squirrelnutkins1 I found it difficult for similar reasons. It's good once it's done though because I was sitting worrying about it. Good luck x

Hi everyone!
First timer poster here… to mumsnet & pregnancy! To say I’m anxious is an understatement, yet I don’t know why?! I feel like I should be happy but I can’t rid this worry feeling like something isn’t right.
I’m 5 weeks today, due 21st July 23 and have my first midwife appt booked in 4 weeks time, which literally feels like an entire lifetime away 😂 I only tested positive on Sunday and yet I feel like I’ve been pregnant for ages now! I think I may book a private scan in sooner to put my mind at ease a little.
Today is the first day I’ve felt fatigue, up to today I was feeling totally fine other than a bit more hungry than usual, however today I’ve also got a dull ache in my left side abdomen/ovary area which won’t go away! Is this normal? Has anyone else here experienced this so early on?
Anyway, congrats to all the other July 23 pregnant mums to be on here 🥰 x

shibeshibe · 17/11/2022 18:36

Went for the early scan today - just a little bean but measuring 7w2d (my dates were 7w1d so pretty much bang on!) and 11mm. So happy to see the heartbeat 💓

MamaSJ15 · 17/11/2022 19:11

@candycrush789 that looks absolutely fine. I wouldn't worry about that, it's only very slight pink isn't it. I have heard it's perfectly normal to spot very early on, if it turns bright red or any cramps then I'd worry but that spotting seems normal to me. Hope you're feeling okay

MamaSJ15 · 17/11/2022 19:13

@peachy93 welcome and congrats!!
It's normal to feel anxious, most of us here feel similar so we're a good bunch to chat to! Yeah sounds normal to me 😊 everyone's pregnancy will be totally different which I find so amazing and interesting!

@peachy93 Hi and welcome !

I'm 5weeks today too ! And I'm also very anxious. we all are at the moment. it's a strange time of just waiting and hoping for the best. Also I feel it makes it harder that its too soon to tell family and friends, so you have this massive life changing process happening and have to keep it a secret 🙈 everyone on here are very supportive and hear to listen to all we can't say to others yet.
I havent yet made a midwife appointment yet, I have recently moved to a new area and still in the process of registering at a new doctors and then hopefully I can get referred.

( no idea how or why my text is bold )

candycrush789 · 17/11/2022 20:24

@MamaSJ15 thank you I hope its all OK too! I'm getting my hcg levels checked tomorrow, around 9.30 then back again in 48hrs! I'm hoping there progressing nicely 🤞🤞 I'll keep you all updated ofc xx

peachy93 · 17/11/2022 22:42

@ScarletDreams @MamaSJ15 thank you both for replying to me & congrats to you both too!
It’s so nice to just get some reassurance that others are feeling the same way. Keeping it a secret is the hardest part so far 🫣 especially at this time of year with so many social plans coming up!
I’m looking forward to hearing about everyone’s journey through the weeks on this thread 🥰 x

candycrush789 · 17/11/2022 23:11

Has anyone had pain in the thighs?

squirrelnutkins1 · 17/11/2022 23:16

Not thighs but achy hips. I remember that from last time.

candycrush789 · 17/11/2022 23:17

@squirrelnutkins1 it's worrying me I have it when I'm on my period and now it just hurts 😞😞

squirrelnutkins1 · 17/11/2022 23:29

Sending love. It's such an anxious time. When you google early pregnancy symptoms so many of them are the same as period symptoms, so that doesn't help the anxiety! Hope you feel better in the morning xx

s14a · 18/11/2022 07:49

I think I'm out now.
Whilst my strip tests look really good I took a clearblue digital with weeks this morning and it only came up 1-2 even though I found out 8 days ago now.
I haven't taken a week's indicator before because I was thinking I wanted to wait until I was absolutely sure it would come up 2-3 or even 3+😭

I'm going to ring epau this morning but I have a really horrible feeling this is going to be another early pregnancy loss

☹️ let us know how you go xxx

heartbroken22 · 18/11/2022 09:41

Hope everyone that's struggling will see better days. I've been there.

I had thigh pain at around 3-5 weeks and apparently it's the pressure of your uterus growing. Not looking forward to the last trimester if I get there. At 6 weeks it's more the nausea for me and backache. I'm so glad I've got a terrible cold and can't smell anything.

Epau won't do anything for me at the moment and I can't find any places near me who offer hcgs so I think it's just watch and wait.
I'm exceptionally twitchy after my loss last month. I'm not sure I can face it again

Olegia · 18/11/2022 10:16

Just had my very first scan today after the little spotting I had earlier this week (so there's reassurance for spotting moms!)

I am a lot earlier than I thought I was (5 weeks 5 days), so it was tiny, and the midwife said if you had come a day or 2 earlier we might not have been able to see the heartbeat, but it's looking all right from everything she scanned (no ectopic pregnancy!)
Estimated Due Date now pushed back 9 days 🙈

Due July 2023
MamaSJ15 · 18/11/2022 12:25

@s14a don't count yourself out just yet, I know it's scary, but if you're tests are still good (not fading?) And you've not got any bleeding or bad cramping then you should be okay. How far along do you think you are?
Remember 'Today, I am pregnant'. Until you know otherwise, you're pregnant ❤️ hang in there, the CB digis aren't as accurate as people would like them to be.

MamaSJ15 · 18/11/2022 12:25

@Olegia oh that's lovely that you got to hear the heartbeat 😊 so glad everything is well for you! ❤️

Firsttimemum2bee · 18/11/2022 13:00

Hi everyone,I’m 37, first pregnancy. Due July 11th
I’m 6 weeks and 2 days today. Got my first midwife apt on the 30th. So far not that many symptoms. Although I do keep catching colds but that could be just due to the weather?
I’m also very tired but I do have a physical job. I’m a fitness instructor so freaking out about how long I can keep up my current schedule.

i also might go for a an early scan as want a scan pic for Xmas to show the family. I think my 12 week scan would be after Xmas.

tempname124 · 18/11/2022 13:09

I’m 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I’m really keen to get my bloods done and booking in appointment but called the community midwife number last week and they said I’ll get sent through paperwork and book in after that. Though still waiting for the paperwork. Is this normal? I sort of thought booking in would be sooner!

candycrush789 · 18/11/2022 13:20

@s14a think positive lovely, I'm not sure the digital are accurate as I got my 3+ at 4weeks 4 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ thinking of you xx

I went and got hcg bloods done at 10am, said to call within 4-6 hours for results 🤞🤞 complete nervous wreck xx

candycrush789 · 18/11/2022 14:45

My levels have come back as 6522, she said it's a high number. Does anyone know what it's supposed to be? I'm 5+1 xx

Writerscompanion · 18/11/2022 14:48

Hello all, tentatively joining...

I am very confused as according to my OPK I am only 6 dpo but this morning I did an early test that came up with a strong line immediately and then a weeks test that was 2-3 weeks.

I've registered for the midwife, is that how I can get an HCG test? The doctor said they only see me for non-pregnancy health now.

Anyway I'm very excited if a bit confused!
