thanks everyone! Part of me is really hoping for twins and the other part is terrified 😂😂

@MamaSJ15 your tests look really strong. I decided it’s time stop when I got a line stealer because of the hook effect. I didn’t wanna panic myself needlessly

MamaSJ15 · 12/11/2022 07:38

@Spink2022 I totally get you! Twins would be amazing but so scary!
Good idea 😊 im stopping now apart from my last digital which I'm leaving till tomorrow/Monday I think.

99pctpractice · 12/11/2022 09:51

Hello!

Hope it's ok if I join? Tested positive last week, but only had my hcg tests on Weds and yesterday and found out that they are more than doubling so feeling confident enough to join now! I'm due 17 July - an ivf pregnancy so not much doubt about the date :o) i have a scan booked for 30 Nov because my clinic do the scan at 7 weeks....it's going to be a long old wait!

candycrush789 · 12/11/2022 13:03

Hi all. Took my last frer and a bit gutted and worried. Yes it looks darker but I'm worried it hasn't progressed as much as it should, I'm around 16dpo I think. Tested at 10dpo 12dpo 13dpo and now 16dpo. Do they look like there progressing ok as im worried about slow progression 🤦🏻‍♀️x

Due July 2023
Spink2022 · 12/11/2022 13:49

@99pctpractice welcome! Im a fellow ivfer
I’ve still got 10 days to wait for my scan and my clinic don’t do hcg so it 100% feels like a really long wait!

@candycrush789 i can absolutely see progression! Your last one is a line stealer. I’d recommend you stop testing now because you can get a hook effect and panic yourself.

candycrush789 · 12/11/2022 13:51

@Spink2022 thank you it's reassuring. I was just worrying they might be progressing slow but I think it's cos even at 10dpo I never had a faint line so was worrying about ectopic 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you for your reply xxxx

MamaSJ15 · 12/11/2022 14:35

@candycrush789 definitely see the progression! Lovely lines 😊
I've just done my last digital (was supposed to wait till tomorrow!) And it has now progressed to 2-3 weeks so I'm happy with that. No more tests left in the house now 👍 hope everyone's feeling good today! I've got a stinker of a cold which has now hit my sinuses again 🤧 but busy busy so gotta keep going!

candycrush789 · 12/11/2022 14:40

Thank you @MamaSJ15 no more.tests for me! Oh no I hope you feel better soon, have a hot (warm) bath and have some honey and lemon 😘😘xx

Carly2014 · 12/11/2022 14:45

Hi everyone. Congrats on the positives. I am just over 6 weeks. I am floored with sickness. It is awful. I am awake all night with hunger and acid and then I vomit eventually by 5am. The nausea is 24/7. I have been given cyclizine but it makes me incredibly dizzy and drunk feeling. I’m currently eating a meal every two hours to try and calm the acid down. My scan first scan 22nd. I’ll be 8 weeks. This is my first pregnancy. Excited but really struggling with the sickness.

Your lines look great! It's starting to look as though the line is getting darker than the control.

I was a little bit worried about mine today because I'm not sure how many dpo that I am but as the test properly dried there is a definite distinct difference!

Balajake · 12/11/2022 16:24

This was mine yesterday at 19 dpo

@s14a you can definitely see progression! I look at mine when there wet too and make judgement based on that but then I go back and look once its dry and I'm like oh okay thats better haha! Your lines are looking good xx

Coffeeforlife · 12/11/2022 17:09

@Carly2014 your sickness sounds like mine. It has been the same in all my pregnancies, if I don't eat every 90 mins or so im physically sick and have painful churny acid. It's the most ridiculous thing. I've tried pretty much everything and nothing other than regular eating works. On the bright side mine tends to clear about 13/14 weeks if I make it that far so it's not forever....

Thank you. I feel so hopeless already. My sister had HG the whole pregnancy and I’m terrified I have the same. But so far she was hospitalised at 6 weeks and I’m not. I’m also able to keep things down. I just wish the cyclizine worked. It is totally useless.

Coffeeforlife · 12/11/2022 18:08

@Carly2014 cyclizine didn't work for me, neither did prochlorperazine. No difference at all. I've not come across anyone who experienced it in the same way as me before so at least I'm not alone. What annoys me most is the lunacy of being sick when you don't eat, and you have to eat quite a lot to keep it at bay so you put on weight but don't even enjoy the food

I am underweight/slender so I wonder if it’s related? I thought I was going crazy and I’m so glad to know someone else went through this. Eating will nauseated is not fun!

Coffeeforlife · 12/11/2022 18:35

@Carly2014 I'm healthy weight but on the slimmer side (size 8-10) so maybe it's related. I also get migraines and have read there can be a link but the migraine drugs I take don't work for this either. This is my fourth pregnancy (I have 2 kids) so have tried most things.... You have my deepest sympathies, it's really grim isn't it

Carly2014 · 12/11/2022 18:39

I suffer from migraines too. I’m size 6. This is my first and I can’t imagine going through this 4 times!

Coffeeforlife · 12/11/2022 18:44

@Carly2014 this is the worst bit. Take it a day at a time and try to get as much rest as possible. Being a woman is really hard sometimes

Thanks. I feel really guilty being off work. I’ve only taken one day so far but I genuinely am struggling at work when I’m awake all night.

Coffeeforlife · 12/11/2022 19:24

@Carly2014 not your fault you're unwell. I've found eating a sandwich or similar before bed can get me through the night most of the time. Im just praying the littly gets through this time. I had symptoms all the way up to treatment for an MMC at 11 weeks which was soul destroying

MamaSJ15 · 12/11/2022 20:57

@candycrush789 me too, no more testing now. I've got an early scan booked for 4th December, feels so far away but I can't wait!!
Thank you, my sinuses are so painful at the moment, it hurts to eat, and of course there's not much we can take now being pregnant so paracetamol it is 👍

Please don't feel guilty! There is absolutely nothing you can do about it!
I sometimes found the nausea worse than the sickness. They gave me ondansatron in the end for sickness when I was admitted which worked for 24 hours but then I'd be back to square one!
What helped me was using mouthwash before brushing my teeth (brushing my teeth always used to set me off!) And taking my pregnacare in the evenings rather than mornings.
Fingers crossed it settles soon!

I took more tests this morning.
There is a huge difference between 11/11 and 13/11 but not much difference between 12/11 and 13/11 on the frer.
There seems to be more difference on the one step but I have decided that they are awful!

@s14a i agree that the nausea is worse than being sick! I felt fine all day yesterday then immediately threw up my dinner! But compared to the last couple of days where I was feeling really nauseous but not being properly sick it will so much better for me.

I think your lines look good. I don’t think you can compare day by day. I think it needs to be every couple of days because there isn’t a huge amount of change day to day

i did my last CB how many weeks this morn and got the elusive 3+ Weeks. Im currently 5+4 and did one at 4+4 when It said 2-3 weeks. The hcg threshold is a minimum of 2753 for 3+ aparantly but it goes all the way up to like 100,000 or something really high so I know I’m somewhere in that bracket 😂

Due July 2023
ThePodParent · 13/11/2022 08:36

@Spink2022 I got my 3+ today too! Always nice to see!

I’m 5 weeks today so feel a bit like ‘Heeeere we go’ with possible nausea season! Both previous pregnancies made me feel nauseous from now… hoping I might get away with it this time? 😬 🙏🏼

To those mentioning nausea before, I had the same with having to eat regularly otherwise I felt really sick. Making sure to keep my blood sugar up and my stomach full worked though and I managed not to up-chuck with this method both previous pregnancies. Having snack-sized Mars bars to hand was helpful to quickly get rid of the nausea, as were almonds - munching a few almonds when feeling ill made it go away. Nuts are also good for brain development for bub, so a win all round! Also sucking mints when close to being sick made it go away.

Such fun! The little girl sitting next to me right now is 100% worth it though! 💕
