@flowergarden16 HUGE congrats 🥳 🥰 Glad to hear things went smoothly and you're both doing well. 💙

sunnyd67 · 07/11/2022 20:41

@flowergarden16 congratulations! ❤️❤️

Baby Ralfs arrived 7/11/22 at 4:06am weighing 8lb9oz. Waters broken at 10:30am with the help of some morphine and local numbing gel to do it, contracted until 5pm before going for epidural. Started pushing at 3:20am. Second year degree unfortunately, very sore! He is here and we couldn't be happier.

calimc83 · 07/11/2022 20:45

@sunnyd67 amazing news!! So happy for you all. Gorgeous name 💙 xx

Skl2021 · 07/11/2022 20:52

@sunnyd67 yey finally!! Been waiting for the update! Sorry to hear about the tear I had a second degree one too! But thankfully the recovery was fine so hopefully yours is too! He was a decent weight too! ♥️ X

flowergarden16 · 07/11/2022 20:56

Ahh congrats @sunnyd67 - birthday twins! Sounds like you do so brilliantly. Hope you recover well and get to go home soon. Love the name x

arianasky · 07/11/2022 22:23

@flowergarden16 congratulations! Love the name river! Hope you're doing ok and enjoying the newborn snuggles 💙🌈

@sunnyd67 congratulations another lovely name 💙 hope the pain of the year eases soon for you 💕

Srx1 · 07/11/2022 23:42

🥳🥳congratulations 👏👏@sunnyd6 and @flowergarden16 (ohhhh I really wanted the name River too 🥰)

speake1 · 08/11/2022 08:09

@sunnyd67 congratulations - he wasn’t that big either! 💙 Tears are the worst, with my first I got frozen perineal ice packs from Amazon & found they provided good relief, would definitely recommend! Xxx

barneymcgroo · 08/11/2022 10:48

@sunnyd67 Wahoo! Finally! Oh well done, congratulations, you must be thrilled to not be waiting any more. The tears are awful - the midwife had to ask me to stop kicking her when she was dealing with mine. I found sitting on the pregnancy ball helped quite a bit. And masses of prunes/lactulose/water to help deal with the first bowel movement...

@flowergarden16 How are you getting on? Hope not too sore.

@sunnyd67 and @flowergarden16 Gorgeous names!

Thank you everyone. 😍

I have now realised the pipes are causing so much pain rather than the tear. 😭

sunnyd67 · 08/11/2022 12:21

Piles, I mean 😂

barneymcgroo · 08/11/2022 12:51

@sunnyd67 I did wonder if that was an oblique reference to your digestive system... 😉

Poor you - various softeners, and masses of water. My mother said with my brother, her 9lb first, she felt almost tearful when separated from her rubber ring. Have you got something similar?

It'll get better soon - just hurts like hell for now.

Hi all, huge congrats to those who have had their babies recently. Love the names too. @sunnyd67 i had a second degree tear too and found sitting on an ice pack once home (clothes on of course!), really helped the swelling go down. Before that I was walking like John Wayne.

I am 12 weeks here, we have our 12 week scan this eve. To be honest I am really struggling at the moment. This week is the anniversary of losing DD and her birthday. I’m also so anxious about this scan and convinced myself there will be bad news. I’m just so emotional. Luckily I have the week off work but it’s hard not to let the anxiety take over.

barneymcgroo · 08/11/2022 21:50

@Shefliesonherownwings Hope your scan went okay. Thinking of you.

Congratulations @flowergarden16 and @sunnyd67! Hope you're both doing okay.

Hoping I haven't missed any other births but if so, congratulations to the new arrivals 🥰

Just thought I'd come on to update you as well! Baby Arthur arrived on the 6th November weighing 8lb 4oz. After a hellish 46 hour early labour at home, we finally decided to go into hospital and get checked out because things weren't progressing (despite the contractions being really hard to manage). Within an hour of being in hospital, we were rushed for an emergency section under general anaesthetic because his heart rate had dropped significantly. Recovery from a second emergency section has been harder, but we're so in love ❤️

Hope everyone is okay. I honestly can't believe some of us have reached the end of our journey xx

barneymcgroo · 10/11/2022 15:44

@Cruz86 Oh my goodness, congratulations! What a hard time he put you through, but well done! Love the name,

Hope you're recovering well - are you at home?

So so happy to hear your news, and hope you're taking it easy - and enjoying cuddles with your two.

@Cruz86 Aww massive congrats and welcome to the world baby Arthur 💙 what a trooper you are! General anaesthetic and all... I hope it wasn't too bad and that you are feeling better now xx

Skl2021 · 10/11/2022 16:28

@Cruz86 what an entrance to the world baby Arthur 💙 hope your doing ok! I find it so weird coming to the end of the journey almost emotional makes me want to do it again 🤣🙊xx

calimc83 · 10/11/2022 16:53

@Cruz86 huge congratulations lovely! Gosh that sounds quite traumatic. Hope u are recovering well? 💙 xx

arianasky · 10/11/2022 22:57

@Cruz86 congratulations! Hope you're ok after that? 💙🌈 xx

Skl2021 · 10/11/2022 23:45

@arianasky how u doing? Any signs yet? X

arianasky · 11/11/2022 08:39

@Skl2021 I'm 38+3 today two nights ago I had contractions all in my back for three hours in the night and then nothing, midwife yesterday said he's engaged and likely he'll break my waters soon as the way his head his in my pelvis a bone will rub on the sac and break it!? 🙈 and I've been having braxton hicks and tightenings since about 5am but I'm not holding out too much hope it'll be too soon 🙈 how are you and baby Max? Xx

Skl2021 · 11/11/2022 08:56

@arianasky sounds like your body is getting ready 🙌 hope your not too uncomfortable! I never got Braxton Hicks or contractions with any of my pregnancies until I was actually in labour! Midwife seems hopeful it will be soon though so 🤞were doing ok thankyou. He seems a bit miserable and unsettled don't know if it's colic or his milk bit of a guessing game ATM! He's 6 weeks today! Absolutely unreal how time is flying 😭 still doesn't even feel real still have to pinch myself sometimes that I have a baby?! 🤣🙈 X

B1993 · 11/11/2022 09:09

Congratulations @sunnyd67 anx @Cruz86! 🥳💙

@arianasky, it sounds like you're near the end now!! 🥳
