@calimc83 haha great answer 🤣🙌 think we avoided the question and changed subject 🤣🙊 they will find out one day 🤦 xx

arianasky · 03/11/2022 17:10

@Skl2021 aww definitely, I'm hoping I'll last until end of next week as it's soo busy for DP at work until then so he'd feel more at ease if he's it's after then and I have my brows and nails booked then aswell 😂 I'm very nauseous this evening I'm hoping it's just one of those things and not a early labour symptom 😬 xx

Skl2021 · 03/11/2022 18:15

@arianasky I will keep my 🤞 crossed 🤣 can't miss your 💅 appointment 🙊 I had bouts of nausea randomly so hopefully it's not labour! I did absolutely hate pregnancy and now it's over I kinda miss it 🤣🤦 x

sunnyd67 · 03/11/2022 19:24

40 hours later and only 2 cm dilated. Currently waiting for a space on labour ward to have my waters broken. Had a whole day of contractions but they suddenly stopped. I'm such a whip at examinations, they can barely do them and I'm using gas and air, I'm so sore and swollen down below it's crazy. They said to have epidural for breaking waters and labour.. I'm so disappointed in myself and how low my pain threshold is. ☹️

Skl2021 · 03/11/2022 21:23

@sunnyd67 don't be so hard on yourself if you need pain relief take it! Your probably shattered aswell it's been a long time! Hope things go smoothly from here and baby arrives very soon 🤞♥️ thinking of you can't wait for the baby update 🙌 xx

barneymcgroo · 03/11/2022 21:52

@sunnyd67 I HATED being examined. If you need the gas and air, that's what it's there for. And take the epidural - my cousin had a baby in the summer, and she was practically writing love letters to whoever invented them, as she was able to snooze through the contractions. You're not a wimp - you're being induced a little early, and you're doing it because it's what's best for your baby. And for that, you are amazing.
Try to get some rest if you can. X

@Skl2021 exactly 😂🙈 aww I haven't lived pregnancy but haven't hatred it either but I know I'll miss his little kicks when he's out 💕

@sunnyd67 obviously I've never been through it before but don't be hard on yourself you're definitely not a whimp! 🤞🏻 they're can break your waters soon 💕

sunnyd67 · 04/11/2022 06:34

Still waiting for space on labour ward, although first one in the queue, every time someone goes into labour here, we are pushed back. And everyone seems to be going into labour, except us 🙄😃 Baby, when will you come? 😩

Skl2021 · 04/11/2022 07:09

@sunnyd67 hopefully u get a space soon! Must be terrible waiting around. How u feeling now? Hope u managed to get a little sleep x

sunnyd67 · 04/11/2022 08:10

@Skl2021 I am actually feeling fine, I have no pain whatsoever, my bits are also feeling better since I'm not having anymore examinations 😅 I'm just bored now and feel like part of the furniture of this ward. Day number 4...

Skl2021 · 04/11/2022 08:14

@sunnyd67 have u had more pain relief? Take whatever u can get 🙊🤣 glad your feeling better! Day 4 omg bet your going stir crazy! I hated staying after the birth it was so boring stuck in a room for days! X

sunnyd67 · 04/11/2022 09:33

@Skl2021 No, I had some contractions yesterday and had some medication but since then I had no contractions.
I just want change of scenery at least 😂

Skl2021 · 04/11/2022 09:38

@sunnyd67 what a cheeky little baby 🙊 hopefully u get moved soon and u can get this baby out!! U must have picked a very busy time! X

Arwen7 · 04/11/2022 11:39

@sunnyd67 awww I feel you! I've seen this happen over and over again. I think expectations are not always managed appropriately, women should be told that induction can be days long and painful and lots of waiting but guess what you have done amazingly!! Pessary and gel is only to ripen your cervix and open it enough for the waters to be broken so 2cm is like best case scenario even though it just sounds like it's nothing... the prostaglandins are not designed to start labour, that will hopefully come with breaking waters and oxytocin drip if you need it. But it's not nice the amount of examinations and the hormones are known to make your bits very sore 😔 Definitely ask for epidural early on if that's your plan, you can ask for it even before breaking the waters but you may want to mobilise a bit after that. I hope labour goes quicker for you lovely, waiting for the good news that your baby has arrived!! 💕

I have been dealing with a crazy situation at home, where basically to cut the story short my SIL has done a case of 'granny dump' and packed her bags, disappeared and left MIL with dementia with us - after I repeatedly said to her to be around after 37w in case I went into labour! And there was me thinking they were coming to visit us and help, if only I had known! 😅😢 Not to mention it's been super stressful especially as I've got section booked in a week and we have nobody else to look after her/she can't be left alone. Luckily we have managed to arrange a chaperone to fly back with her to her home country and she has help back home bless her. My section is in one week today, just praying baby stays put until we sort all of this out and then I will breathe again!

I hope everyone else is well. Xx @flowergarden16 not long to go for you! How are you feeling?

flowergarden16 · 04/11/2022 11:42

OMG @Arwen7 you poor thing that sounds sooooo stressful! Hope it all gets sorted for you :-(

@sunnyd67 sending solidarity with the induction, mine seemed to go in forever but know you are SO close to meeting your baby!

Thanks @Arwen7 I'm getting really scared even though I have a great consultant and he's not worried I'm just scared I will hemorrhage with the previa or baby won't be ok :-(

Arwen7 · 04/11/2022 11:44

@flowergarden16 thanks lovely. Awww everything will be fine with you and baby ❤️

flowergarden16 · 04/11/2022 11:48

@Arwen7 hope so. I guess I'll know in four days Confused

sunnyd67 · 04/11/2022 15:53

@flowergarden16 I hope everything goes quick and well for you ❤️ not long left! 😍

@Arwen7 there is a bed next to mine, I've been here for four days, there have been change of five ladies, all going to labour ward after the first medication, feels like it's just me 😃 Hopefully I will get to meet our cheeky boy soon, I feel like natural labour is still an option technically, you never know. By the time I get a room on the ward he might decide to surprise us - that's my hope now as I bounce on the birthing ball. 😃

I hope all goes well with your MIL, you most definitely don't need stress at the moment! What is you SIL thinking!!

barneymcgroo · 04/11/2022 16:00

@Arwen7 wow, wtf? That's the last thing you need! At least there's now an exit strategy... And wow, can't believe it's happening so soon!

@sunnyd67 Oh that sucks! You'll get to meet your little boy soon, but it must feel like you've been there for ever... Hope you get seen soon.

@flowergarden16 Four days! Time has FLOWN!

Day 5, someone has gone into labour and we are pushed back once again. Can I just go home? 😭

barneymcgroo · 05/11/2022 09:50

@sunnyd67 Oh flipping hell! Long service award for you... Must be SO frustrating!

Is it all other women having inductions in with you? Hope you're doing okay - I assume your bp is behaving itself, otherwise they'd be keener to get you seen to.
Fingers crossed that it all happens soon.

Arwen7 · 05/11/2022 09:54

@barneymcgroo I know I am so drama free myself and to be in this situation is a bit surreal!

@sunnyd67 oh no that's a bit too much! Do they have no free midwife whatsoever to take you to labour ward? Sorry must be so frustrating x

mrshodgy21 · 05/11/2022 10:54

Advice please ladies best baby milk to use little kian is on cow and gate but he is going every 2-3 hours per feed sometimes every hour he is have an oz I make up 4oz bottles but sometimes he will only have 2-3 oz but then starting again in an hour lol

B1993 · 05/11/2022 10:59

@Arwen7 What a nightmare! I cannot believe she'd leave your MIL with you now of all times! 😖

@sunnyd67 how frustrating!! I cannot imagine how you must be feeling 😩 I hope things progress quickly for you soon!!

I had another scan through EPAU this week due to more red spotting. Luckily baby was seen and no cause of the bleeding was found. They measured me at 8+2 which lines up with my earlier scan a few weeks before when they measured me at 5-6 weeks. Both times a strong heartbeat was seen and baby has clearly grown, but if I was only 8+2 at the time of the scan, that'd mean I would have got a postive test the day or so after I ovulated, which is impossible!! I tracked my ovulation so I know that I should be 9+3 and not 8+4 now.

I should be greatful that everything was perfect but the dates are still causing a bit of worry! 😩Has anyone else had a similar experience?

sunnyd67 · 05/11/2022 12:26

@barneymcgroo Yes, most of them are having inductions of what I can hear, they all seem to progress through first dose of medication and then they are gone. Yes, BP normal managed with medication.
@Arwen7 nope, short staffed apparently.
@B1993 I haven't got experience regards to measuring like that, but could it be a later implanter?
