Huge congratulations @Prayingformyrainbow93 ❤️❤️ I hope you and the baby are doing well! ❤️

Hi all,

Can't quite believe I'm back on this thread! It's so lovely to see names I recognise actually having their babies- mental!Congratulations to you all.
I was here both in December, and then in April, but lost both pregnancies. Here again at the very early stage of 5+5 for hopefully lucky number 3. Still trying for my first.
I've been reluctant to join the pregnancy board, but don't quite feel I belong in conception, despite having being on such a supportive TTC after loss thread (hi @FfayeN! 😀)
Anxiety has been hitting me HARD today. I think it's because we have told my parents as we are staying with them for a week. Despite really trying to downplay it, they are just so positive and excited, and I'm finding it tough. I've actually had to get out of the house because my mum was just too much! They know about the two previous losses as well. I wish I had their positivity!

Tor88 · 29/10/2022 16:05

@theblueflowers hey, I'm also pregnant after two losses (in Feb and June of this year), still trying for my first. I'm 8+3 so a little ahead of you, but thought I'd say hi as I've found the anxiety of it pretty tough going, so I completely understand how you feel. Having a majorly wobbly day today with a slight drop in symptoms (hence checking this board to find some reassurance!).

I don't know about you but I'm torn between believing that it's just not going to happen for us and my body isn't capable, vs thinking I can't possibly have a third loss in 10 months - but reminding myself that that is of course entirely possible!!

It's really exhausting so my heart goes out to you. No advice really just solidarity. It's lovely to see so many people on this thread (names I recognise from MC threads) getting their rainbow babies 🧡😊

FfayeN · 29/10/2022 16:47

@theblueflowers hi lovely, we are so close only 2 days difference so we can be in this together too. We haven't told anyone apart from our closest friends (who are our neighbours and been through similar tough times)
Hi @Tor88 too. It's nice to be on here with you both, this will be our 4th pregnancy trying for our first so here's hoping we'll all be here until the end 🌈 xxxx

Tofu35 · 29/10/2022 16:51

Congratulations @Prayingformyrainbow93 and welcome to little Mila!

Lovely to see you back @theblueflowers!

Tor88 · 29/10/2022 17:26

@FfayeN 4th pregnancy my goodness, you poor thing 💔💔 This is only my third and if those goes wrong I'm honestly not sure I'll have the strength to go through this again 🙈 Women are amazing eh!!

Skl2021 · 29/10/2022 18:23

@Prayingformyrainbow93 huge congratulations 💝 🌈 xx

Welcome to all the newbies. Hope you all get that rainbow 🌈♥️ x

flowergarden16 · 29/10/2022 20:23

Welcome to all the new joiners. Hoping we all get our rainbow babies. It's an anxious journey but we're all on it together

calimc83 · 29/10/2022 22:14

@Prayingformyrainbow93 huge congratulations 🎉 lovely! Beautiful name xx

FfayeN · 30/10/2022 07:28

@Tor88 they really are! Anyone trying after loss, just shows how resilient we are, although if this one doesn't work out I am not sure if we would try again. You just don't know until you're there in that moment. Everything crossed we are all here at the end like the last flurry of ladies announcing they're here 🥰 xx

theblueflowers · 30/10/2022 08:00

@Tor88 thank you! You described the conflicting emotions perfectly. I switch between these feelings multiple times a day sometimes and it gets exhausting! Fluctuating symptoms really can mess with your head- hopefully yours have returned now?

@FfayeN it's really nice having someone to go through this with! I know that they say miscarriage is common, but I literally know no one in real life who has gone through it and can therefore really understand how I'm feeling.

barneymcgroo · 30/10/2022 10:08

Welcome new ladies - hope these ones stick, and that we can help you through these anxious times.

Early pregnancy is so hard, I am looking back and not sure how I managed to stay sane. I've had four losses as well as suffering with infertility. It's crazy what we put ourselves through and how much courage we actually have to get our babies! Each of my loss has been different, in terms of how it started and symptoms along the way. Even this pregnancy - spotting, loosing symptoms, then having them back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, ladies, let's bring these babies home! 🤞

Skl2021 · 01/11/2022 19:19

How is everyone?

Any signs of babies 🤞🌈 xx

calimc83 · 01/11/2022 22:25

@Skl2021 Hey 👋 all good I hope! 20 week scan is tomorrow- argh! First scan DH will be coming to as well ( been trying to protect him from bad news previously 🙈 ). How's life with 3 boys? Xx

Skl2021 · 01/11/2022 22:38

@calimc83 ahhhh so excited for you!! Are you finding out? You may have already told me excuse my tired brain 🤣🙈 let me know how it goes ♥️ life is crazy and I'm constantly tired 🤦 struggling with max atm he's unsettled and crying alot so we're changing milk and has thrush in his mouth so we haven't had alot of sleep as he's not very happy 😢 hopefully things get better x

barneymcgroo · 01/11/2022 22:49

@calimc83 Oooh, fingers crossed it all goes well tomorrow! Wow, 20 weeks already - time flies!

@Skl2021 Poor you - thrush totally sucks. Have you got daktarin - oral for him, cream for you? My first had it when he was about 8 weeks old - was a nightmare! Hope better soon.

OP posts:
Skl2021 · 01/11/2022 22:52

@barneymcgroo he's had a week of nyastin and it didn't work so we went back today and got some daktarin but the doctor didn't really want to give me it as it's meant for over 4 months but my health visitor said it's fine now he's over one month so we will see how it goes! He had a tounge tie aswell so he got that snipped yesterday! Just seems to be all at once for the poor thing 😩 how u doing? X

barneymcgroo · 01/11/2022 23:04

I found the nystatin did bugger all. I might be wrong, but with the daktarin oral gel, they're worried about choking. So just use your finger to wipe it around his mouth, so there isn't a big lump of it.

All fine here - my 2 year old has had a horrible tummy bug for days - diarrhoea, and now awful nappy rash. He's miserable, and I just want him to feel better. (And also to not pass it on to anyone else...). Nina's very sweet - bit more awake in the day time now.

OP posts:
Skl2021 · 01/11/2022 23:10

@barneymcgroo yes it's very thick isn't it! Scares me a bit to give it to him incase he chokes on it 🤦 hoping it goes soon 🤞 aww hope your little one is better soon ♥️ and that u all don't catch it 🙌 glad little Nina is doing well! Time seems to be moving so fast this time I feel like I have blinked and he's so big already it's scary how fast it's going! Can't wait for him to start smiling 😍 x

sunnyd67 · 01/11/2022 23:49

I had midwife app today - now in triage being induced! 😳😳 Slightly raised blood pressure + GD which I was testing for last week, didn't think anything of it but they don't like my readings. Currently being monitored, next step some meds, that escalated quickly.

Skl2021 · 01/11/2022 23:50

@sunnyd67 omg! Good luck hope everything goes smoothly for you! ♥️ Hopefully won't be long until baby is in your arms 🙌🌈 xx

sunnyd67 · 02/11/2022 00:19

@Skl2021 Just had the hormone strip put it, painful! 😳 my first thought was how will I cope with labour if I find this painful 😃 I hope this is quick..

barneymcgroo · 02/11/2022 05:43

@sunnyd67 oh wow, hope it all goes well! Pain relief before syntocin drip - if you are able to make them give you an epidural first, it's apparently a good idea.
