That's fine [passes cuppa to go with it]

OracleInaCoracle · 04/02/2008 16:50

oooh thank you! how are you doing?

EllieG · 04/02/2008 16:58

Not bad at all - signed off for a week so I can rest a bit - think because went to ante natal and midwife said 'how are you' and I burst into tears and said 'I'm so tiiiiirrrrreeeedd! And everything huuuuurrrrts! Waaaa!' or words to that effect. Not my finest hour, but I have a nice week off to go on mumsnet get house ready for baby etc

How 'bout you?

EllieG · 04/02/2008 16:59

Hmm crossing out thing did not work. How confusing.

OracleInaCoracle · 04/02/2008 17:12

Very sorry to hear about your second miscarriage. I had two recurrent miscarriages (most recent was May 07) and it was a real body blow.
For me, I knew that before I started to try again I had to be strong enough physically and emotionally if there was a third miscarriage. (I took up yoga, had acupuncture, aromatherapy - whatever I thought might help a pregnancy continue).
The NHS said they would only investigate after 3 miscarriages.

Having two miscarriages in a row does make you think, is there a problem? However, Lesley Regan states that the chances of a successful pregnancy for a third pregnancy are 70%.
I am currently 9 +3 wks pregnant and have two scans - so far so good. I am the same age as you.
Thinking of you as I know the journey can be tough . Take care

OracleInaCoracle · 04/02/2008 17:26

ooooh lots of vinegar? when i was pg with ds i craved vinegar and used to brink in with hot water on my tea break.

feedmenow · 04/02/2008 17:42

Hi Lissie. Nice to see you! Won't comment on what you are doing here, but just to say it's lovely to have you and I hope your visits can be expected for a while

feedmenow · 04/02/2008 17:44

P.S. Has anyone heard from Mrsmc since Mrmc announced Xaviers arrival? Have been keeping an eye out in birth announcements too, but can't find anything. I mean, what on earth can she be so busy with that she can't manage to spend hours reading through pages of MN posts? ?

hunofmonsters · 04/02/2008 17:45

Cuddles Lissie and blatantly ignores the fact that she is here (at least for a few weeks until she tells us)

oh and also passes gaviscon for teh after effects of the ginger cake

Nice to see you Lissie, not seen you around much now.

EllieG How on earth did you get to 30 weeks?? that means you are only a month behind me! Why am i stuck now and the days going s l o w ly?!

(the strike out thing needs to be done to each word btw)

spugs don't mean to scare you but its actually nearer 6 weeks than 7 !!

I don't know where the list is actually, somewhere down the bottom probablY!

makecakesnotwar · 04/02/2008 17:51

Spent a good chunk of the afternoon trying to track down the elusive MrsMc...in the end I CAT-ed her with orders to report....

am bored bored bored...called myself to tell me that I wasn't comig in today (self-employed)-baby has wedged his/herself up against my pelvis meaning I am very heavy and unbalanced and that SPD has kicked in BIG style and can barely walk without pain. So spent most of the day in bed feeding my ebay and Creme Egg addictions (god bless wireless, and my Dh for getting me laptop for Christmas and catering pack of Creme Eggs...)

Oh, and someone wrote some crappy comment about my grammar on my blog. Bastard.

Am I not a misery guts???

OracleInaCoracle · 04/02/2008 18:01

OracleInaCoracle · 04/02/2008 18:36

can you just reassure me (its been so long since ive had anything approaching a normal pg) mild mid-backache and constipation is ok isnt it? and so's lots of cm?

hypothetically speaking of course!

DonDons · 04/02/2008 18:59

yep to all three lissie (who I note is not really here)

My back is absolute agony today but trying to stay positive as 75% of the way there now (30 weeks woo hoo)

Ellie - I feel like crap too (wish I was off work too)- and strangely enough had a big bag of mini creme eggs on Friday all to myself - must be a common 30 week thing......

makecakesnotwar · 04/02/2008 19:18

Hypothetically speaking, I felt all three Lissie. Hypothetically.

TwilightSurfer · 04/02/2008 19:22

Okay ladies just popping by to spread good cheer on the thread. Had my nuchal scan today (12+2) and was told the baby measures 12+5. All good! The best of the news though is the accidental flip the baby did....while mooning the camera (so the speak) we (me and the doctor) were able to clearly see THAT MY BABY IS A BOY!!! The doctor laughed as it was so obvious. Because it is still very early he said he'll say we were 80% correct but that our next scan in 4 weeks should give us proof positive. I didn't get a picture of the BUTT shot but I did get a picture of the baby waving (see profile).

I hope this gives everyone a smile because it sure made me happy.
