And so we continue...

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 21:08

bethoo...brestfeednig and morning sickness there are lots of other good tips and info in the FAQ section

also, my nipples were getting really tender the longer DD had been latched on, but her latch can often be quite lazy. I spent a few feeds repositioning her when it got sore, and the last few days have been problem free.

bethoo · 06/03/2008 21:13

splishsplosh - that is exactly what i have!! only thrown up once and hope never to repeat again!!!
i guess i will persevere with the bf as tbh he wakes at about half five/six in mornig and really cannot be arsed to go downstairs to get milk, he will only reject it anyway and rip open my nighty!!!

bethoo · 06/03/2008 21:14

lackadaisy - good item though it seems that it was inconclusive to whether bf helps or hinders mornig sickness (should call it all day and night sickness tbh!!!).

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 21:18

i think it's one of those anecdotal things bethoo. Last week i was getting waves of nausea after I'd fed her, but this week things have been fine. I think making sure that my energy stores are topped up by eating little and often has helped.

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 21:18

how old is your DS bethoo?

Pinkali37 · 07/03/2008 08:51

Splish - My cramping is ok today just the same old bowel discomfort. Boobs aren't sore yet but only 4+2 today so wouldn't really expect it I suppose.

Hope everyone else is ok.

bethoo · 07/03/2008 09:44

lackaDAISY- my ds just turned one on feb 26. he is on my profile under my dogs. thank goodness it is not in priority order!!!

bethoo · 07/03/2008 09:46

Pinka- my boobies are only just sore for the past week and i am 9 weeks.

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 07/03/2008 13:08

Hi all - had my scan yesterday (28 weeks) and the other twin is a girl!!!!

I'm a bit about how happy I am cos I'd like to think I would have been just as happy with two boys (esp as with history of MC you are happy with anything as long as it is a baby) but I have always really wanted a daughter (I am one of 4 girls) so I am very pleased.

We are calling her Esther at the mo (although DH is not 100% sure). Our little boy will be called Theo.

Positive vibes to all you ladies in the traumatic first trimester especially Oinker xxxxx

ronshar · 07/03/2008 13:14

Yipee a girl Neenz. I am really happy for you and Mr Neenz. Theo and Esther Neenz. Brilliant.
You are so lucky, one of each. You will be able to retire and no one will be able to say to you "So when are you trying for a boy then?". That is all I have heard for 8 years since having my first DD and when DD2 turned up it got worse.. The way this one is giving me the run around it is bound to be a boy!!

EllieG · 07/03/2008 13:31

How lovely neenz! One of each!

Went for quick scan today for them to check position and baby is head down finally hurrah, so no nasty cs for me.

Plus she was doing lots of sucking movements which were very sweet to watch

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 07/03/2008 13:31

LOL Ronshar - why do people say such things? My mum and dad had four daughters and get really annoyed when people assume they'd have liked a boy, like us girls are not good enough! Which is why I was to be so pleased with a girl! Hey ho.

As for retiring - DH says that because having twins is "like having one baby really" he'd like two more! We'll definitely have one more but we'll see about a fourth!

EllieG · 07/03/2008 13:34

Hmmmm....my friend has just had twins, not sure if her DH would say now it was just like having one baby

smilesattheweekend · 07/03/2008 13:44

Can I gatecrash - very scared at the mo - 4wks today and got a BFP yesterday, it is my 6th pg,I have 1 child who is 4 (2 mc before DS then 2 last year). I feel really tired but I always do. Spoke to the EPU this morning who said I can have scans at the recurrent MC clinic from 6 weeks, I had a scan for the 3rd MC which was july last year and saw a hb at 7.5 weeks, then lost it that day, so I think I might just wait and see what happens, what will be will be and all that malarchy. My last mc was october but I knew it wasn't going to be ok from the start. I have told my DH but not anyone else, not even my mum.I am just so desperate to tell someone.

Anyway, hope you don't mind another one on board, hopefully I have a sticky one.

X

Welcome smiles. I still havent told my family about my baby. I am 9+4. So tell us everything as there are several of us here who havent made it public yet!

Just like one baby! Is he mad. Has he never been in a room with two small babies, when they are hungry/tired. I have younger twin sisters and it still haunts me. The memories help me.

Head down Elli brilliant. How many weeks/days is it for you now?

Hello smiles welcome to the thread.

Hi ronshar - 6 weeks to go now! Am a bit scared but VERY excited. 2 weeks til give up work and can sit around feeling like a whale with feet up.

Glad things all OK with you still - 9.4 - not long til 12 week scan now! You having any more before then?

ronshar · 07/03/2008 14:44

Not sure. I had a big wibble last night I thought it was all over. But I think it was just me being mad! If it wasnt Friday I would probably phone EPAC to blag a scan. I have my booking next Thursday. So will see then.

Lucky you. I am just starting my journey and you are reaching the end of yours. Just take care you are so close now.

EllieG · 07/03/2008 14:47

I am. This baby is the most precious thing to me at the moment, still panic that something will go wrong, but I guess that's natural.

What were you having a wibble about last night? Did you have a bleed?

ronshar · 07/03/2008 15:04

No. Did a pee stick which took ages to work and didnt get the line. So I cryed and took myself off to bed in a sulk. Very mature response!. I double checked this morning and sure enough there was the line. A fretfull sleep later I now feel like crap but I think I am still pregnant so shall carry on regardless!
I told you I am mad.

Kaz1967 · 07/03/2008 15:07

EllieG I know exactly what you mean 21 weeks today and still panic about it all going wrong. Still not bought a thing for this baby "just in case" and trying not to think ahead of the scan on Tuesday just in case, After that I suspect it will be the scan at 30 weeks that I won't think ahead of. My poor midwife always tells me to relax when she listens for the heart beat but I cannot until I hear it then I can breath for a short while until the next time.

I am starting to look pregnant now rather than just fat.

EllieG · 07/03/2008 15:39

Poor ronny, you are not mad, just fretful. Healthy and well remember? Though is hard sometimes x

Glad to hear all is going well for you kaz - hope the scan is good. I know you will be nervous but it will be lovely to see your LO wiggling round x

perkypopsy · 07/03/2008 15:44

Hey ronny all this talk of scans makes me terrified too - am trying to hold on out for the 25/03 but who knows - neenz words of wisdom keep coming over me and reminding me that even if i get a good scan tomorrow - I'd be mad as a snake again by Monday
I keep trying to keep hope by the fact that I am still sick as a dog and really knackered...wish I could have some reassuring outward signs like mammouth boobs and tum...hey ho
Have a good weekend everyone

perkypopsy · 07/03/2008 15:46

Forgot to say YaY for neenz and her bisexual beans
