Morning ellie ...or should I say Rachel Hunter!!! Have sneaked a peek at your pics and you look just like her! (DSD is SOOOO cute!)

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 09:42

Went to put pics on my profile and it had disappeared...mabe MN are trying to tell me something
Have found some to put on though they were all done sideways from my phone so I've rotated them which means they are a bit shit ho hum
I'm "working from home" today so am wasting time on MN...must do some work oops

makecakesnotwar · 22/02/2008 09:54

I love the name Eloise....sadly DH preferred Cecily, so will have to save Eloise for the next one!

NH- read what you said about sleeping issues (mucus sinuses etc) and have realised I have a similar issue. DH has just admitted I am snoring like a trooper, oh the shame! Oh, and our beloved little girl has taken to having a party in utero at 4am and waking up her mummy.....noone warned me about this! (I am still loving it though!)

EllieG · 22/02/2008 09:55

Why thank you [preen preen] however I am rather stumpier and rounder and shorter so not much like her really at all tbh

Your pics look fab - you look just like I thought you would - small and blonde and smiley

oinker · 22/02/2008 09:57

Morning ladies.....

I am still hanging in there.
That brown gunk seems to have stopped.

FINGERSCROSSED.........

This is a very testing time for me as things tend to start going bad for me around now. I am taking it easy today. Will stay in bed till about 12ish.
I can't beleive how much shite is on TV during the day and we pay for SKY+ too.

Got the SKIDS this weekend...Can't wait!!

EllieG · 22/02/2008 10:08

Don't wear yourself out at the weekend. Let your DH take the strain and stay in bed if you need to. Important to look after yourself and your LO right now.

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 10:11

Good on you oinker - we're all rooting for you and your little beanie (or should that be piglet )

Ellie - feels more like the krankees stood next to DH

MCNW sounds like you have a party animal on the way - maybe she can hear the snoring too

Hi everyone. Been for anomoly scan this morning and everything is fine, so relieved!
We also found out we are having another litlle girl We have already picked a name Alice Mae, hope you all like it.
So excited because my mam paid for my pram yesturday. We are getting a mamas and papas skate and i love it. We are not picking it up till mid june along with all the things i ordered. It makes it all seem like it really is going to happen. Hope everyone is well, Will read now x

TJuice · 22/02/2008 10:55

congrat lovelylou and i think that is a gorgeous name. will check out the buggy - i need some inspiration. there are so many and my parents have grandly offered to pay for one but i have no idea which.

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 11:04

Can I ask when you all put your names down for NCT? My local one gets booked up so I put my name down before my scan and was then when the letters came through etc. Don't want to plan too far ahead but also don't want to miss out on NCT

alittlebitshy · 22/02/2008 11:06

I know my sil put her name down as soon as she'd had a scan at 13 weeks and only just got a place. But when we did it 5 years ago i seem to remember not doing much about it til i was 20 ish weeks then managing to get a place easily. I guess it all depends where you are and how often they run courses

alittlebitshy · 22/02/2008 11:11

btw - i know i haven't posted much, but i'm always reading!!!!!!

I'm 16+5 now. All seems well, had to go and buy pair matty jeans yest cos my rousers were being fastened with lacky nad and the zip kept sliding down . But the jeans aren't a great fit, so that's frustrating. Am having a mini spree in 10 days with sil (who's also pg yay) so will do better then.

Frantically knicker checking all the time. Dh and dd are used to the sight of me randomyl pulling my trousers down to check . Always convinced I feel wet down there. Is prob all normal and if i hadn't had the m/cs I'd not bat an eyelid, but i have so i do .

so great to see so many old friends from m/c/cake/avenger boards!!!! Particularly Perkypops!!!!!!!!!! and Ronshar!!!!!!!!!!!

Need to go and have my first lunch. It's been 1.5 hours since my 2nd breakfast, so def time lol. and if i eat I don't feel so sick.....

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 11:20

yay albs so fab to see you!!!!! PMSL at your lacky bands (and trouser antics)! you're double me! looking forward to needing second brekkie and lunch had porridge this morning so have a ready brek glow
can't type cos cat in on lap and making like a baby with her tummy in the air

feedmenow · 22/02/2008 12:02

Alittlebit, interesting mental piccie of you just whipping your trews and knickers down at random to check! Make sure you aren't standing in front of any curtainless windows at the time

A little girl, Jules! Do you think they definately got it right? We've been told ours is a girl, but I won't really believe it til its born. Would hate to be 100% convinced then be disappointed, IYSWIM.

Oinker, fingers crossed for you still. Laughing about the SKIDS - don't know that I've ever heard of them referred to as that before

Am feeling a little down myself. Now over 36 weeks and, not only am I physically and mentally knackered, but am starting to feel a little anxious that things could still go wrong. I find myself feeling fine, then think I am being too confident and that i ought to prepare myself for the worst.

Also, just wondering if anyone "sees" Cece about anywhere? Hope she is doing OK. Feel quite tearful now just thinking of her...

EllieG · 22/02/2008 12:07

Fab news lovelylou and jules! Glad all is well and little girls are fine. That's a beautiful name too lovelylou x

16+5 albs! Time is flying (though not for you probably)

Just been for ante natal check - all fine with LO and they think she might have turned hurray!

nh101andhertwinbeans · 22/02/2008 12:11

Love the pics Popsy. Gosh we are a good-looking lot aren't we

Littlebit - I am 26 weeks now and still knicker checking! I think it is cos it was only a few days after I stopped knicker checking last time that I started to bleed, so I don't want to stop in case the same thing happens again (even though I don't believe in supersitition and all that crap!) Yes you will feel wet down there and it is all normal.

NCT - I'm not bothering, cos I might end up with a section anyway. I am just going to read about it all instead. the breathing etc. That will cost a lot less than the course! It would have been nice to meet other mums but the courses are nowhere near my house so the other mums would have been spread far and wide. You'll have to let me know what you learn then I can get the relevant reading.

alittlebitshy · 22/02/2008 12:21

hmm - yes am trying to be careful with where i knicker check. Dh is constantly reminding me that we actually have 2 lodgers too . Lol.

feedmenow I know i've seen cece on the mc avengers thread when i've popped on to have a look and see how everyone is doing. I gather she's got the same pains she had last month with af (poss infection) but is soon about to ttc again which is fab!

Lordy - am not brave enough to put pics of me up. I'm not good to look at at the best of times, and at the moment even less so.....

nh - wow 26 weeks!!! Love your name choices btw!

ellieg in some ways time is zipping, but in other ways it feels like it's not. Someone on here said that from 20 weeks it speeds past more, so i hope so.....

oh nh re NCT - i loved my course but i'm not sure how much i actually put into practice in labour. Then i had a emergency section so.... And i made good friends but I moved out of area just before the babies were born, and although we kept up contact for a while, after a year we never got back to it and i'm not sure we got cards from any othe them last xmas. that makes me sad, but it is amazing how much difference a few extra miles do make when you've got little ones. I made all my local friends through toddler groups/ music class/postnatal group/church.....

makecakesnotwar · 22/02/2008 12:52

Hooray for the new little girls...we're having one too, so I am having lots of fun buying dresses!

Re:NCT- I confess I booked mine after our eight week scare, then spent the next ten weeks praying to God that everything was OK, because they don't refund all the money! 26 weeks and still knicker checking, despite all the frantic activity that goes on in my tummy....[Makecakes wonders what it must feel like to have two little wrigglers in her tummy like NH....]

Very proud to have just put together various bits of flatpack for the nursery....and have almost packed hospital bag. Anyone want to play spot-the-first-time-mum?

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 13:13

has anyone tried double chocolate dairy milk? Run to the shops now!!!

EllieG · 22/02/2008 13:25

What! Dairy milk is my fave anyway....[sounds of Ellie running fade into distance]

perkypopsy · 22/02/2008 13:34

I bought 5 huge bars for DH for valentines day (last of the romantics) but have demolished lot myself oops

rainrain · 22/02/2008 14:10

Hello can I join? I have been following this thread for some time. Currently I am 9+1 on my 5th pregnancy (have DD age 5 plus 3 miscarriages last year). They scanned me at 7.5 and all was grand, but I can't seem to shake off the feeling the last couple of days that something is wrong. My crashing mid-afternoon fatigue has vanished and the sickness much much less too... has anyone else lost their symptoms like that? I wish I could relax.....

ronshar · 22/02/2008 14:36

Sorry a bit of boring anatomy now ladies. Your uterus will be about the size of an orange, it will be hard to touch(get used to it), the said orange will then pop over the top of your pubic bone around week 12. Anatomy class over. I have been able to feel my orange for at least 2 weeks. So from 5 weeks.
NH101 Can I ask is it true that you wil definitely feel much worse with twins??? I am getting a little worried about the twin thing! I feel like I am repeating myself again too many threads!! With my first 2 babies I was well all the wat through no symptoms apart from huge boobs. This time I am like the walking dead. And I am not even working now! Please someone tell me it is only one. I dont think I am ready for 4 children. DH definetly not ready.
