Hello ladies I am back from the Alps. I am still pregnant. 7 weeks today. Yipeeeeee..

Only 8 weeks Ellie. Crikey love I cant believe how fast it has gone. Not for you though I'm sure!

perkypopsy · 18/02/2008 13:17

welcome back ronny you rad dude PG lady you!

EllieG · 18/02/2008 13:27

Hey ronshar, glad your trip was good and ronnybean is being sticky!

spugs · 18/02/2008 13:38

[waves from accross room] hi ladies, am rapidly expanding and suffering all the delights that brings! only 5 weeks (ish) to go. hang on in there you'll be complaining about how fat your getting soon to x

WinkyGirl · 18/02/2008 14:02

[sat next to Spugs and waving frantically]

5 week ish left for me too! No where near as big as when I was pg with DD (who was 9lb 10oz when born!) so am thinking this one wont be so hefty.

Lovely to see ronshar and popsy on here - I remember you both from the mc threads. Wishing you all the best.

My first 20 weeks d-r-a-g-g-e-d but since then it has whizzed past.

Am keeping everything crossed for kate and oinker xx

perkypopsy · 18/02/2008 15:33

Hi winky and spugs you're both about to pop!!! Twenty weeks sounds like AGES away though

nh101andhertwinbeans · 18/02/2008 17:01

Ronshar and Popsy!!!!! Wow congratulations guys! I haven't posted much on here cos can hardly keep up with the due in June thread but Ellie nudged me this way with your news.

I am so so happy for you . It's a long slog but this time everything will work out fine. It is nearly a year since our MCs and didn't I always say 'just think about where you'll be a year from now cos a lot can happen in a year!'

I am only 11 weeks away from the birth now - if the beans turn up at 37 weeks as I hope they will. 37 wks means they will be developed enough to not need special care but not so big that their poor mummy ends up a beached whale!

Check out my profile to see how fat I am!!!

I just can't put into words how chuffed I am for you xxxx

perkypopsy · 18/02/2008 17:12

Bloody hell nh!!!
You always were the wise one
Just looked at your photies - can't believe it's you! - you'll have your work cut out (two for the price of one and all that)!

You've cut your hair off! - so gorgeous and slim with a neat (but mahooosive) bump! Not long to go - my friend has twins - she's having a fab time - we were trying to design a wooden feeding platform so she could do both at once and have a cuppa at the same time

Ahhh so fab to hear from you - god let's hope this is it for me and ronny - don't think I could cope with another year like the last one and DH is certainly going to get me committed soon

EllieG · 18/02/2008 18:22

I found her! [waggy tail emoticon]

Am feeling very cheery now - lots of lovely people are PG and fingers crossed, we will all have good outcomes this time.

You are still irritatingly slim though nh - I was worried for a while that the baby was actually growing on my arse, but they assure me it's not.

DonDons · 18/02/2008 18:40

PMSL Ellie!

NH! so good to hear from you again and you look am-ezz-zin!! Was thinking of a similar haircut myself - you are v sensible

Hang on in there Ronshar and Popsy

spugs and winky - good to hear from you too - 5 weeks to go?! where does the time go?!
bethoo - things were a little ...ahem... 'loose' for me too in the early days - MW said nothing to worry about as long as not too severe and you are not dehydrating

feel like a whale now - can't wait to finish work and hit the sofa(4 and a bit weeks to go....)

bethoo · 18/02/2008 19:00

nh = i love the scan pics, how cute with two of them in there!! you also look good for it, very bloomy!

kate2179 · 18/02/2008 20:06

Evening ladies, post from avengers thread...

Guess who's been for a scan?
Me!
Everything absolutely fine thank goodness. Strong heartbeat and measuring right for dates!! Such a relief. Feeling ok, but can't help but wonder what's going to be thrown at us next, hopefully nothing! Am tempted to see if they'll scan me in a couple of weeks, more or less half way between now and my 12 week scan but will just have to see how I go. Please please no more bleeding. Sonographer couldn't see where it had come from. It peetered out yesterday, was quite a lot on saturday evening but that may have been pooling (TMI ) as I didn't really get out of bed until the evening ( again!)

Thank you all so much for all you kind words, great to come on here this evening and see so many of you so much further on, fingers crossed pops & ronny in a few months that will be us!

Oinker hope you're doing ok and that the bleeding came to nothing. Have been thinking of you a lot (((hugs))) xx

bethoo · 18/02/2008 20:09

kate - excellent news. i bled with my lo throughout first trimester to 16 weeks and like most cases where there is bleeding that does not lead to m/c no one actually knows why!! good news and glad it is working out.

KashaSarrasin · 18/02/2008 20:18

Fantastic news kate! Fingers crossed you have no more bleeding.

oinker how are you doing? xxx

Hello everyone else

I had my booking in appointment with the midwife this morning and it's all starting to feel more real now. I have my nuchal scan on Friday, and sent the bloods off last week so hopefully I can get the combined result straight away on Friday. I'm a bit nervous about it tbh as I'm 38.5. The spotting appears to have settled down for the moment, although the last two times I said that I was gushing red blood again a day later so hopefully this will be third time lucky! Not sure if my nerves are up to another bleed.... Plus I've had a horrendous cold with sore throat since last week, really fed up with it now especially as I can't even take a decongestant!

splishsplosh · 18/02/2008 20:23

Hooray Kate , glad you got a scan so quickly to reassure you

splishsplosh · 18/02/2008 20:27

Oh and Popsy, with dd I had no symptoms at all for the 1st trimester other than some periody pains which just made me convinced af was about to start so there was no way I was pg - only got sickness in the 2nd trimester.
This time I have slight nausea - did throw up once on Saturday. Tired, and hurts to bf at first, but nothing major - sometimes I only think I notice cos I'm so busy trying to find something

ronshar · 18/02/2008 22:42

Lovely pictures NH101 those little beans look beautiful. I cant believe your little bump!

Good news Kate. All those scans, you will be able to see what sex it is soon. I know they have been necessary I am a little because I want one. I am being careful what I wish for.

Evening to everyone. I am typing with one eye open, so I shall say goodnight.

EllieG · 19/02/2008 08:40

Yey for kate and her sticky bean! Fantastic news x

oinker · 19/02/2008 09:32

Kate..........

I am soooooooooooooooo happy for you....FANTASTIC NEWS
I am really pleased that all is well.

I have got my scan at 1000 on wednesday. I am realy, really dreading it... I just hate it. I have been having the brown gunky discharge. It stopped on saturday and sunday but is back today... No change... I have no pain.

Julezboo · 19/02/2008 09:58

Uki · 19/02/2008 10:02

Excellent news Kate

oinker- thinking of you, you must be going out of your mind. You are doing so well.

I'm sorry to hear of all the spoting, We are all hoping your baby bean is fine. Stranger things have happened, many a baby has survived some spoting.

The absolute best of luck to you and baby and Mr. O Tomorrow xxxx

nh101andhertwinbeans · 19/02/2008 12:41

It's great to hear everyone having successful scans and feeling sick! Glad I am back on here - there are so many familiar old names it is like coming home. And I noticed earlier in the thread that MrsMac sprogged. Excellent news!

Keep positive everyone, before you know it you'll be feeling those beans kicking and squirming and eventually you even feel confident that you are ACTUALLY going to have a baby (or two in my case!)

EllieG · 19/02/2008 12:50

Try and distract yourself today OInker if you can - easier said than done I know - we will all be sending loads of good vibes tomorrow x

Bouncingturtle · 19/02/2008 14:06

Hey everyone, lots of good news here!

Kate congrats on the scan you must be so relieved!

NH - love your twin beanies

Julez - so pleased you bean is still hanging in there, had a look at your pix your sons are gorgeous, couldn't help but notice you have the same bouncy chair as I have! Daniel has recently been kicking the foot pads and activating the music - can't believe that 7 weeks ago his feet wouldn't reach!

Julezboo · 19/02/2008 14:18

bouncingturtle, i used to say things like that too, i used that chair to measure how big he was growing. I of course threw it away the weekend before I found out I was preg!

Congrats on your little one - hes a cutie!
