OP posts:
spugs · 16/02/2008 10:48

kate and oinker - got everything crossed for you [hugs]

kate2179 · 16/02/2008 10:55

oinker so sorry to hear that... There are lots of 'positive' things I could say to you, but you'll know all that stuff already and it won't make you feel any better, so I think I'll just leave it unsaid. Really hoping for the best for both of us though. Everything crossed. xx

DonDons · 16/02/2008 15:14

hugs Kate nad Oinker - take care of yourselves....

bethoo · 16/02/2008 16:44

kate and oinker - will be thinking of you but on a positive note though i thought brown blood is ok as that is old blood. it is when it is red that it may be a problem. i guess it is jsut a matter of waiting now though i hope you both cna have scans early to see what is really going on.

oinker · 16/02/2008 17:12

Thanks for the support ladies.

I have been on mumsnet for nearly 4 years now and have always had such fabulous support from everyone. It really does help.
i have a scan booked for wednesday morning. I will wait until then. I can only pray things will settle and I will be OK.

Unfortunately i have been here six times before and the hope is slowly but surely dissapearing..

)))))))))))))HUGS(((((((((((((((((((((

splishsplosh · 16/02/2008 20:18

Lots of positive vibes and hugs to Oinker and Kate x

feedmenow · 16/02/2008 21:17

Oh, ladies, sorry to hear of worrying news. Nothing I can say will make any difference. And it sucks not knowing, just having to wait it out. So hope things go the right way for you both.
xxx

kate2179 · 17/02/2008 09:40

Thanks everyone for the support, as always! This pg is worse than a soap opera, if they put this many highs and lows on corrie no-one would ever believe it! Spent pretty much the whole of yesterday in bed, and slept quite a bit which I was surprised about, still slept fairly well last night too... Brown continues... Not much this morning but haven't been out of bed long . Nothing on the pad over night, though quite a bit yesterday evening. No pain thank god. My nurse friend is going to see if she can get me a sneaky scan at her hosp today or tomorrow so I can keep my appt for friday as well, assuming nothing hideous has happened by then. EPU haven't phoned back from my message 9.30 yesterday morning, what a surprise...
Am actually scared to go to the loo atm, ridiculous...
Trying to stay positive, had a long chat with beanie about all the fabulous things s/he has to look forward to after s/he is born and how many people are waiting to meet him and love him. Am such a sap! Will keep you posted. xx

EllieG · 17/02/2008 10:29

You're not a sap x
Hope you have a positive scan in next couple of days to put your mind at rest - let us know how you get on

oinker - much love and positive vibes to you hon (((((hugs))))

perkypopsy · 17/02/2008 12:31

Hi Kate and oinker crossing everything for you both!It is so unfair that some people just sail through pregnancy and others seem to lurch from one worry to another on a daily basis - have no babies yet but am holding on to the thought of what we will have at the end of this physical and emotional rollar coster!

Having a strange (i.e. shit) old time really not much in the way of symptoms except a weird spacy feeling and some sickness every now and again (not mornings !?!) - finding it very hard to believe there is anything in there - have horrid feeling this is how it's gonna be forever - I'd love to be innocent and be able to enjoy this time . God is over five weeks til next scan - am going to be a useless zombie til then - has anyone else not had huge symptoms? I need to be put out of my misery

lovelylou · 17/02/2008 13:42

Congratulations popsy, so pleased for you. I didn't have many symtoms. Just occasional nausea and constipation. Try to stay positive, im sure everything will be fine this time x

Jacwac · 17/02/2008 14:14

Hi Popsy, I don't have many symptoms, just tiredness and sore boobs. When you think that there are women who don't even know they're pregnant until they're over 5 months gone, (I heard about one of these women over Christmas, youngest child 13...) there must be plenty of people who get no symptoms at all. I have a 20 month old already and this is what it was like with him too. In the second trimester, I felt great, no sign I was pg at all, except for my increasing girth

perkypopsy · 17/02/2008 14:33

Hi lovelylou (fab to hear from you - what stage are you at?) and jacwac that makes me feel TONS better
My sister didn't know til she was 4 months so have to take that as my bench mark (I just reckon she was having too much fun to notice ). I called her this morning and confessed so I could grill her on my non-symptoms
Really was trying to tell no one but it seems to be more stressful that way - I am not used to keeping my mouth shut at the best of times
ooooooh god I really hope this one sticks - I have so many sneaky nice thoughts about getting a huge bump and strolling round town lik a proud hen...

Jacwac · 17/02/2008 15:53

I'm trying not to tell, but not doing very well. Had to tell a couple of people in work, since I was going away on a residential and thought they needed to know. I had a night out with other folks a couple of weeks ago, and wasn't drinking, so I know tongues will be wagging anyway... And I had to tell brother, sister, dad, in-laws... They all know about the miscarriage and I'll need their support if anything goes wrong.

makecakesnotwar · 17/02/2008 17:36

Hello all-had another traumatic day as dog was attacked as Dh and I walked on the beach in the sunshine. We had to fight to get her free and DH twisted his back and I have pulled my tummy muscles. Dh had to carry the poor dog back to the car and we took her to the vets who operated immediately. I was then put in sofa in front of emergency musicals with Hot choc and cherry bakewell by the DH. Happily the baby has been kicking like a demon, and I have rested up, and now have the woozy d-o-g curled up next to me. But God, what a day!

Jacwac · 17/02/2008 18:07

Well that sounds like far too much drama for a sunny Sunday! Glad your dh knew the correct response (hot choc and cherry bakewell!)

makecakesnotwar · 17/02/2008 18:42

yes, jacwak, he gets full points! It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow, so he's on good form!

Jacwac · 17/02/2008 19:00

See it's our anniversary on Tuesday, but dh wouldn't have known if I hadn't mentioned it...

EllieG · 17/02/2008 20:55

Poor makecakes' dog. I hope he is OK? Glad to hear you are both resting up.

popsy - I had practically no symptoms apart from being tired. Even sore boobs came and went at times, but am now almost starting to believe will really have a baby! (either that or the cakes have finally caught up with me). Healthy and well hon - I don't think loads of symptoms are the be all and end all x

bethoo · 17/02/2008 21:03

perkypopsy - i know how you feel, everytime i am on this thread i am ging on about lack of symptoms, i am 7 weeks tomorrow and so far only had two nauseas days, no sore boobs but then i am still bf so maybe that is why i have no idea.
does anyone get (tmi!!!???)diarrohea as i have been getting it quite alot, do not remeber if i had it last time!!!
makescakes was your dog on the lead, was the other as the other dog owners are liable and should have footed the bill. what dog was it that attacked your poor pooch? sympahties, my dog had to be operated on as a staff cross tore into his leg. sadly cos my dog was off lead and his was not he did not have to pay!!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 17/02/2008 21:13
