And so we continue...

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 15/02/2008 10:07

I feel so fed up today. I'm still not bleeding I just feel sick and tired I really wish that bleeding would start. I'm not sure whether to phone the GP today or just give it some more time. Part of me is tempted to do another test in the hope that it shows something but I know that it won't. It didn't feel real when I found out that I was pg and now it doesn't feel real that I'm not.

bethoo · 15/02/2008 10:23

swaliaman -if you want to make sure take a test as there are some pretty cheap ones outthere but if you still have symptoms i would see gp if it turns out negative. thinking of you.

Oh Swaliswan, how horrible. Not knowing is just awful, isn't it? How long do you think you'll be able to hold out without doing another test? There is always the chance that the BFN you got was because of diluted pee or something. Or have you already done another since then?

EllieG · 15/02/2008 11:30

Where are the piccies jules! I want to see! Pleeeeeeaasse.......

swail - id ring docs and see about going to epau, they might be able to scan you or do another test.

mom- know what you mean about wanting it over with. im almost 35 weeks and feeling particularly rough today

kate2179 · 15/02/2008 14:30

Swaliswan so sorry to hear you're having a tough time. It sounds as though you may have had a chemical pregnancy - if you google it there will probably be a lot more information that I can give you but basically it's where fertilisation occurs and so the hormones start so you get your bfp but it doesn't implant and basically seems like a slightly late and possible slightly heavier than normal period. There are a few ladies who have had them on the TTC Waiting Room thread, why don't you ask them what they think?
If you're finding it difficult to 'wait and see' - I know I find it nigh on impossible - it might be worth seeing what your doc has to say. I've heard a chemical pg is classed by docs as a very early mc so it might be worth getting it logged on to your record for future reference, although hopefully things will be absolutely fine and this was just a warm up . Hope that doesn't sound crass but it's amazing how many women lose their first and then go on to have healthy babies no problem (am assuming this was your first?)
All this is just my opinion, perhaps another reason to go to the docs and speak to someone who has actually (hopefully) passed some exams on this stuff
Take care and take it easy xxx

MerlinsBeard · 15/02/2008 15:01

mixed news for you julez but am glad you are staying

Had bloods taken today and the oddest thing happened. she did the forst sample fine to send of for bile tests but when she put the next pot in my blood did NOT want to come out then i felt a bit odd so asked her to stop waiting for it to drip out. She said something wierd too..."its lovely and warm"...erm...yes..isn't blood usually warm? or is it just me?
I also had to ask her to recheck the HB. It was VERY fast (for mini monster anyway) and i asked if it could be because she had been checking position and she said maybe so i asked her to do it again and it was back down to 150 bpm from 190!!!

Kept my appt for next week as she was so dippy lol!!

perkypopsy · 15/02/2008 15:16

Hi MoM I am vasovagal and that means i faint if i stand up too quickly or have fits in worst cases (they thought I was bloody epileptic for a while and took my licence off me) - I have found is very hard for them to get blood from me - my right arm refused just like you described last time so they did my left which had no veins urghhh - also - I faint when give blood.... perhaps you are VV too?

MerlinsBeard · 15/02/2008 15:17

I have never had any prob;ems before. In fact, last time it came out so fast it made a funny noise and bubbles (only noticed as i had the DSs with me!)

EllieG · 15/02/2008 18:53

Hey julez - glad to hear about your little bean being OK, but sorry to hear about your other little one. Hope you are not feeling too weird x

splishsplosh · 15/02/2008 20:32

Glad 1 of your los is hanging in there Julez, though it's very sad the other didn't make it

Swaliswan, the waiting must be really hard

I'm so nervous too Popsy, especially as my mc was about 11 weeks, so I'm still thinking things will go wrong. I don't have much in the way of symptoms, except incredibly tired, only want to eat crisps and it's agony bf dd - but the first 2 could just be me of course

Jacwac · 15/02/2008 21:09

EllieG & popsy, thank you, am glad I went on here yesterday as I was getting ridiculously worked up about the whole thing. Like splishsplosh, my mc was at just over 10 weeks, so I know I'll still be nervous for the next couple of weeks, but last time wee bean was only measuring for 6 weeks, so I feel like it's already going better. Am taking very sore boobs as reassurance...

splishsplosh · 15/02/2008 21:38

Jacwac, I hope things go better for us both this time. I didn't have a scan till it was pretty much over last time, so i have no idea if the baby was OK til the mc. But I think (unless I'm just trying desperately to convince myself) that last time my tiredness and nipple soreness didn't last long... I'm hoping that my desire to sleep all day and my wincing when dd latches on is a good sign that this one is a keeper.

Are you having another reasurance scan Jacwac, or waiting til 12 weeks?

Jacwac · 15/02/2008 22:06

As long as things feel ok, I'll wait until 12 weeks.

I was exactly the same last time, I noticed that I wasn't as tired or hungry, and boobs weren't sore for much more than a few weeks, but thought everything was fine until I started bleeding. That was when I had the scan, no heartbeat, too small, miscarried later that day. Sounds so quick like that, but as you know, it's really completely horrible...

What stage are you at now?

splishsplosh · 16/02/2008 09:32

I am 8 weeks tomorrow, and threw up this morning, also keep having sicky burps - sorry, tmi. So definitely feeling it this time.

oinker · 16/02/2008 09:58

Well, it appears to be going wrong for me again.........
Light pinkish on wiping last night... and slight dark brown discharge tis morning...no aches or pains.
This is exactly what happened last time..and at exactly the same time...
I am booked in for next wednesday and hopefully will be able to hold out till then. I have already ssigned myself of work sick... I refuse to take any chances....

kate2179 · 16/02/2008 10:35

Oh god oh god oh god

Brown wipes this morning. Absolutely terrified, esp after what my gp said about mc being most likely between 8 & 9 weeks. Am 8+2 today... Have called the epu and left a message and have left messages for a friend who's a nurse to see if there are any strings she can pull for a scan today... I know it may be nothing, but it may be everything... Am working away next week, meant to be staying in a hotel...what a mess.

Sorry to hear you're going through it too oinker, it sucks doesn't it? What stage are you at? I can't remember how many mc's you have had already or if you have any children?

Really hoping it works out for both of us. I know there are plently of ladies on here who've had lots of bleeding and all has been well. Not really making me feel any better at the moment though...

oinker · 16/02/2008 10:46

kate...........

This is my 7th pregnancy...I have had six m/c's no babies.......

I am only 5+4 (according to my calculations)

Let me know how you get on.....REST... that is all I am doing. Just lying in the sun (reflecton) (am in bed with heating on)...

)))))))))))))))))))HUGS(((((((((((((((((
