sticky vibes oinker

hello to all the newbies! healthy and well

I've seen some posts re MrsMc elsewhere too - by all accounts she is fine - just v tired. Would be good to hear from the lady herself though!

Uki · 14/02/2008 03:36

Oinker - That sounds good, hang in there , that's a very young beanie there, no wonder they can't see anything yet. I wait till 8 weeks before a first scan, but I admit it's hell waiting. Are you taking the double asprin? My Ob said today if I have another baby to take it before conception, as first 8 weeks so important.

Thanks for the compliment's on my dc the older one is a crazy frog, so i kiss and cuddle my youngest as much as I can before he grows out of it too

re: Mrs Mc thanks for the info, glad she's around somewhere. I'm just aware of the crazy roller coaster of ttc, m/c's and newborns to know that sometimes it can all catch up IYKWIM we need hearts of steel i reckon

EllieG · 14/02/2008 09:09

spugs · 14/02/2008 12:58

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

OP posts:
Jacwac · 14/02/2008 13:25

Hello all, just loved the name of this thread, as it describes my state of mind exactly!

Have only had 1 mc, am now 8 weeks pg and going for a scan this afternoon. Am beside myself with bad feelings, trying not to think about it, but I just can't distract myself enough.

perkypopsy · 14/02/2008 13:37

Hi Everyone
Had scan this morning and saw a blob beating in a tiny grey area which is apparently mini pops - 7 weeks today and - that is the first time i have seen a live beanie!!! Couldn't believe it - it took a while cos I'd drunk too much water and my bladder was taking over the screen
Anyhoo I told her that I OV'd early this month - seems the melatonin I took on the snowboarding trip reset by hormonal clock - so relieved - can't believe took a year ha ha
The big scan is immed after Easter (13 wks) so just gonna try to not think about it til then (who am I kidding?). Last MC was at 9 weeks - just hoping it can hold on in there!!! - she says it all looks normal and I keep repeating that in my head (HEALTHY AND WELL, HEALTHY AND WELL)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

perkypopsy · 14/02/2008 13:38

spugs · 14/02/2008 15:43

popsy - thats brilliant news

perkypopsy · 14/02/2008 16:26

Thanks ladies - shitty day at work - would normally go home for a glass of wine but looks like is gonna have to be ribena ! I have no idea how that little blob of pulsating grey pixels could ever be a real living thing...HAW HAW (short hand for our mantra)

hunofmonsters · 14/02/2008 16:37

Uki.... 6 months??
Where the bloody hell did that time go?? not on my pregnancy thats for sure!!

Am 35 weeks and just want it over now. Have found teh journey so so hard. Having blood tests 2mo (hopefully!) to rule out OC as i am crazily itchy its one thing after another and i know i should be grateful i am PG but i am not

Swaliswan · 14/02/2008 18:39

Ladies sorry to be negative but I need your advice. I felt that my symptoms were starting to 'disappear' so I did another test this morning with FMU and the same make of test as before and it was BFN. Having had three BFP's over on monday and tuesday (couldn't quite believe the BFP!) it seems a bit strange to know that it must all be over know. I've had moderate cramping today but I'm still not bleeding. My AF was due on monday so I didn't test unreasonably early. I don't know what to do now though. I know that I must not be pg now but why aren't I bleeding? Do I need to do anything? I don't feel particularly well but I don't know if I need to see a doc.

splishsplosh · 14/02/2008 18:52

Sorry Swaliswan - sorry I don't know the answer to your query, someone more knowledgeable is bound to be along soon

Popsy - fab news about the scan - did you not have to have an internal scan then? Lucky you - mine was on Monday at 7+1 and I had to have the poking about

Oinker, glad that scan looked positive, fingers, toes and anything crossable crossed for you next week

TwilightSurfer · 14/02/2008 19:01

Swaliswan just wait it out. What you're experiencing just lends to the fact that there are way more miscarriages than are truly documented. If you hadn't been looking you'd have missed it, thinking your period was just late. So many have gone through the same thing. There's really nothing you can do. Nature will take it's course and you'll be fine...maybe even more fertile in 15 days than you've ever been. So keep your head up. Feel free to disregard what I've said if you are having miscarriage after miscarriage and I just missed your history...if that were the case I'd make an appointment to speak to someone. Either way, I'm very sorry.

OP posts:
DonDons · 14/02/2008 19:03

Swalisan I'm no expert but as far as I know you don't get false positives but can get false negatives... the test could have been affected by the time of day/amount you had to drink just before testing etc. Best time to test is first thing in morning as your urine is most concentrated then. If you have had a MC I would be surprised if the hormones had cleared out of your system so quickly......I think it takes at least a week from what I was told when I had mine.... If you can bear it, wait a couple of days then test again. Hope things work out for you.

bethoo · 14/02/2008 21:05

Swalisman - i am sorry but i think you have had a missed m/c, depending on how far gone you were depends on if you will bleed. i would suggest seeing a gp and asking for a scan as you may require a d&c. i am very sorry to hear about your sad situation. take care.x

Jacwac · 14/02/2008 21:48

Quick update: scan showed a heartbeat! Yee-ha! Thanks for support.

perkypopsy · 15/02/2008 09:41

Hi swaliswan lots of advice for you here - hope you have restested this morning and had good news - if not then why not go and see the doctor to put your mind at rest?

splishy hooray we're so close - I'm having a day of symptom checking today - worried will be over any minute - maybe is cos my symptoms come and go with this one so I can feel fine at one minute and then sick as a dog or exhausted the next...is much less tan my last MC PG so have decided to take that as a good thing. DH and I have even been brave enough to start referring to our little pea - am hoping lots of PMA will help him be HAW . p.s.was a normal scan - was hard to get much detail but I was just happy was a heart beat! - also I think ronshar is similar dates to us too - we can share postive vibes

Bethoo we're October buddies yay - are you on a PG thread yet? I am lurking til my scan after Easter don't want to jinx it . Not even ready to put name on our list below ?

perkypopsy · 15/02/2008 09:43

oops sorry Jacwac wanted to say YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY for you! Time to sit back and relax - I just had croissants and pain au choc for brekkie cos is DH Birthday YUM (just keeping him company ). Am off out tonight... everyone will guess the minute I don't have a drink cos am a pure alchy so have decided to tell people who ask that I'm on fertility drugs as they all know about that.

bethoo · 15/02/2008 09:46

perky - yes i thinki have spottted you lurking or may be pregnancy causing hallucinations!!! i am a mere 6 weeks so still early days and alot of knicker checking! starting to feel more positive esp as sickness kicking in!! hope all is well and you will join us in oct thread soon.

EllieG · 15/02/2008 09:49

Sorry you are worrying so much swaliswan - have nothing to add to what others have said but am thinking of you x

Congrats jacwac! Brilliant news!

I want some croissants too now.
