What are you guys doing for exercise? And how often? I haven't done much at all tbh' but the one day I actually went for a longish walk (2hours) my legs were absolutely aching for 3 days after....😭 (so much so I had to go to a&e and check it wasn't DVT!!)

June628 · 02/09/2022 07:11

Thanks for the new threat, just place marking :)

FirstTimeTryer93 · 02/09/2022 07:32

:)

Pickles23 · 02/09/2022 08:03

@Splashh i signed up for online pregnancy pilates classes (called The Bump Plan) which I'm enjoying, just need to do them more often! Also going on regular dog walks.

It would be good to do some local classes in person but I'm not sure there are many near me, but least the dog and pilates can fit around my job!

Not much at the moment but I have a day off each week so when DS goes to school I'll be off to the pool 😁 love a good swim. The rest of the week will be easy walks, my hips won't take a lot as I found out the other day

I had grand plan's to continue doing my regular bootcamp fitness classes when I got pregnant but that went out of the window around week 7 when the nausea started 😂

I'm normally so active but at the moment all I can manage is walking or swimming hopefully will be able to get back to some strength work in the second trimester!

Hi everyone I’ve been really quiet on here. I’ve got my 12 week scan on Thursday I’ll be 12+3. I can’t wait for the first trimester to be over so I can stop feeling ill.

I’ve also got to stop my ivf drugs next week which is stressful.

has anyone bought any maternity clothes yet. I usually wear tight clothes so most of my clothes don’t fit anymore. So I’ve ordered a few bits.

Eastybaby19 · 02/09/2022 10:25

Great to have another thread! Just checking in, had a private scan yesterday as it was my birthday 🥳 baby was not playing ball was upside down and facing down the whole time kept moving away from the scanner thing 🙈 although how clear is that photo! Baby is healthy heart beating perfectly and seen legs hands feet etc! 14 weeks tomorrow still having sickness 🤦‍♀️

Due March 2023 - thread 3
Mrs2022 · 02/09/2022 10:32

Hey thanks for new thread! Have my scan on Tuesday finally it's been long counting the days!

TeddyBeans · 02/09/2022 11:02

Happy birthday easty! Mine was on Wednesday 🥳🎂 got a pregnancy massage booked for the 10th and a gender scan booked for the 17th

@XjustagirlX I've ordered some maternity clothes for work so I don't stretch my uniform. Being a larger lady most of my clothes are floaty so I can get away with wearing those for a long while yet

@Mrs2022 best of luck for Tuesday! It'll come around surprisingly quickly now

👋 hi new thread.
I'm so pleased to keep up with these chats. It's really lovely to have people to message all the time about bump 😊

Katlouise24 · 02/09/2022 11:50

Hiii new thread!

Eastybaby19 · 02/09/2022 13:55

@TeddyBeans happy birthday to you too! Pregnancy massages are amazing! I've also a gender scan booked but for the 18th so day after yours! So excited!!

EMcG3 · 02/09/2022 13:59

@XjustagirlX - yes! I fit basically nothing, since I mostly wear very slim cut no-stretch pencil dresses. I'm just at the end of an interim phase of wearing slightly looser cut dresses and moving into really low rise jeans and larger tops/maternity tops. I do all second hand, which works for me as an affordable way to stay in clothes that are similar in style to what I usually wear, even though they aren't items that can get me through the whole pregnancy. Also, I don't know if it's your first, but if it is, you may find it takes quite some time to get back into your original clothes, if they're pretty unforgiving.

Babynumberthreeee · 02/09/2022 14:06

I have been in maternity clothes since 9 weeks, though the first trimester bloat is definitely fading. Im at that annoying point where all maternity clothes are maxi and I can't do my normal clothes up 🙈

Pretty sure my boss spotted my maternity jeans yesterday but hasn't said anything.

As far as exercise goes I have an unforgiving sprocker and 2 year old so am on my feet all day 🙃

I am on an app called sweat by kayla itness which helped me lose loads of weight between pregnancys and she's bringing out a pregnancy and post partum exercise plan in September

havanamama · 02/09/2022 14:10

Hey!
everyone mentioning the private gender scans is making me want one too, but realistically with holidays etc I would be able to go week 18, and 2 weeks later is my free NHS scan, so feels silly to spend 60£ just to know 2 weeks sooner 😅

I’ve started to have some pelvic/groin pain when walking on one side 😐 when moving my leg, hope to get some pelvic floor exercise recs from my midwife soon.

Cdoc · 02/09/2022 15:14

Checking in 😊and also interested in exercise recommendations! I was 5 times a week pre pregnancy and have done virtually nothing since… hoping trimester 2 brings with it a tonne of energy!
