I am 18 weeks too and waiting for the 20 week scan.

I have been dealing with food poisoning or a stomach bug the past 2 days.

Getting better now but omg it’s not a joke when there’s already less space in the stomach and I’ve been getting so bloated it’s painful 😖

thankfully can now keep down food etc

Any pregnancy vitamin brands which are smaller/easier to take than pregnacare? I'm sure we discussed this on one of the original threads!

Tescos own brans in a bottle are smaller

Splashh · 06/10/2022 03:54

@LittleAcorn20 I have a bit of phobia swallowing large tablets 😅 so I take the Bassets pregnancy chewies, Asda and Tesco defo do them.

12 days until my 20 week scan, I'm on countdown. Who else is patiently waiting for theirs?

I'm anxious at the same time because I haven't felt any movement yet, 18w2d today.

Mines next Thursday, very excited to see little one again 🥰🥰

Ok thanks for the tablet recommendations. I'll run down the pregnacare ones I have then try asdas own. I don't mind swallowing tablets but the pregnacare ones are just so giant and have a funny taste too.

My scan is also next Friday, that makes a few of us that day 🥰 I'm counting down the days 😁 baby is very active and I'm feeling kicks from the outside now so that gives me good reassurance, so excited to see them on screen again!

iratepirate · 06/10/2022 07:29

I’m not feeling very much at all. I’m sure it’s been earlier in the past but I’m trying not to worry or anything. 🙈 Still a couple of weeks until mine.

TeddyBeans · 06/10/2022 07:37

Bleurgh I stopped taking loratadine the other day to see if my phlegmy throat feeling was gone and was sick this morning because of it so back onto the antihistamines I go! Luckily I didn't throw up the tablets I'd just taken, only the milk I drank to swallow them with. Think it's going to last throughout my pregnancy 😭😭

havanamama · 06/10/2022 08:22

I can feel there’s something large in my stomach just by tracing fingers over the top, and think I may have felt something the other day after being sick all day with this stomach thing, but not sure. 🤷‍♀️
I am really trying to trust my midwife who said I’ll likely feel something by 20 weeks and to only call the hospital midwife unit I don’t feel anything by 24 weeks.
The NHS movements brochure she gave me says most feel movements between 16-24 weeks, so there’s still time.

Franklin321 · 06/10/2022 09:19

@TeddyBeans im glad I’ve seen someone else is taking antihistamines! I was worried taking them but my allergies are out of control 😑 I’m normally on prescription strength ones (pre pregnancy) but the loratadine seem to be taking the edge off! When I was pregnant with my son I had no allergy symptoms, it’s mad how different pregnancies can be 😰

allthingssparkly · 06/10/2022 09:42

Good luck @TeddyBeans I hope your scan goes well 😊 I take the bassets chewy preg vitamins, hope you find some that you can tolerate @LittleAcorn20

Currently resting up with antibiotics and steroids as the doctor thinks I have a chest infection or an infective exacerbation of the asthma 😩 feeling sorry for myself rn, fed up of being unwell.

hol92 · 06/10/2022 09:49

Has anyone else been suffering from headaches my nausea is soooo much better! I’m nearly 16 weeks but now I have a headache that gets so much worse when I walk or bend down and I can’t seem to shake it! I took my blood pressure and it was fine so I know it’s not that so maybe it’s just another symptom to replace the sickness hah! Also can’t wait for movement 🥰🥰 x

Not consistently but on and off I have and they are brutal. The only thing I have found that helps clear it is sleep which only works if they come on in the evening.

BabyNumber3OnTheWay · 06/10/2022 10:52

@TeddyBeans my scan is also next Thursday, so nervous 😬

Hrf1503 · 06/10/2022 11:37

@hol92 I got these coming out of first trimester, the most chronic headaches that stopped me in my tracks. Lots of lying down and hot compress on my head helped. I’m 17 weeks now and they’ve eased off so I hope they do for you soon as well!

hellosunshineagainxxx · 06/10/2022 12:59

Had private scan today at 16 weeks, we're having another boy 🥰

iratepirate · 06/10/2022 13:43

Ahhh congrats @hellosunshineagainxxx

Perexi · 06/10/2022 13:48

Congratulations @hellosunshineagainxxx

Perexi · 06/10/2022 14:32

I've just received 2 NHS letters for additional growth scans in Feb and March which I wasn't totally expecting.... I'm only 15 week's so seems very organised.

havanamama · 06/10/2022 15:36

@Perexi that’s nice! Something to look forward to !
I know my extra ones will be 32 and 36 weeks

Ah good to know, I just looked and mine will be 32+5 and 38+5 quite exciting! I think we're going to book a 4d one once a bit further along as my mum is so excited to see and my cousin really recommend it.

Congrats!! Little boys are so precious 🥰 I’ll find mine out next Friday, in my head it’s a boy too but got no evidence for that 😂

hellosunshineagainxxx · 06/10/2022 18:26
