Morning all

Dex did another stupendous sleep... had to wake him up to feed him and take DC to school. Fingers crossed this is a pattern he is going to stick to.

Fettle- hope Toby is ok with the jabs... Dex has got his 2nd lot next week. What is the third injection for? Did they do the polio one in his mouth yet? Dex only had 2 jabs first time around. That Messiah was a bit gruesome!

mrs- any action overnight?

Seaside and Iampg- a lot of the lovely ladies on here were early- Bodders you were 38 wks, i think??

Sorry- so excited about the pending births that I cant remember what I was going to say to anyone else!

back later everyone - very tired children to deal with!!!

Bodkin · 25/06/2008 18:51

Great photos Chooster - the boys look gorgeous as ever (you don't look so bad yerself ) Gosh - so Max will be 5 and a bit by the time he starts school? That seems a bit more sensible actually than the English system.... poor Isla will be just 4 when she starts (unless i defer for a year)

And Firsty - lovely to see a pic of the little feller at last - he looks sooo happy and adorable!

Now why on earth is Isla not asleep yet - by rights she should be utterly exhausted, having only had a short nap this morning and then refusing to nap this afternoon....hmmm, better go and investigate...

Chooster · 25/06/2008 19:30

Aw, he's gorgeous Firsty!! very cute smile . Yup, Max will be 5 yrs and 3 months when he starts school which I'm pleased about as it will be better for him that if he had to start now. I think he's just too young... But they do say boys develop slower so maybe Isla will be more ready than you may think. Ho old is Nelly now?

Bodkin · 25/06/2008 19:46

Ahh good, baby now asleep....and relaaaaax!
Nelly is 4 and a half... but when she starts in September it is only half days for the first term. So when she starts full time in January she'll be just 5.

She is currently out watching a play with her dad - bloody thick as thieves those two these days While they're off to glasto though, me and Isla are off to stay with a friend in Surrey, so we should have a nice weekend too. I don;t expect Nelly and DP will be rocking out that much (although she is very keen to see The Feeling!) I expect they'll spend most of the time in the kids field and seeing the smaller more quirky bits and pieces.

I'd love to go to London for a weekend with DP and go to all our old favourite haunts - such a great idea...we'd spend the whole time talking about the kids though...

babylove123 · 26/06/2008 13:56

Hey everyone,

Not sure if you saw my thread last night about the baby not moving. Was an awful time, i'm still worried now but i have to be positive! When you were 18.5 weeks, how was your baby positioned? My bump is really high under my ribs and sticks out a lot, theres not so much at the bottom. Stupid considering the baby is really low in my pelvis well underneath my belly button............

Still feeling sicky today, caught a cold but as usual with me, i go down like a lead balloon and ended up with a sinus and chest infection! Am on anti-biotics and steam breathing! Classy eh! What a great way to spend my birthday on saturday!!!!

Greedy - Oooooh good luck for your sis. How long has she been trying? DP and i used ovulation sticks and managed to get pg on the 2nd cycle. Was so strange because i have a set 30 day cycle which means i shld ovulate around 15 days but it turns out i ovulate at 21 days! Im strange!!!!

Bodkin - wow, how cool for Nelly and DP! Who are they looking forward to seeing? Cant say im a festival person, i'd be too worried i wouldnt make it to a loo in the crowd! lol

Chooster - i think London sounds great, book it up and have a good time

Right, best go do some more steam breathing! Speak soon

Awww, DP just phoned me from the very top of the big wheel at Glastonbury - they are having an absolute blast! Spoke to Nelly (while they were stuck at the top waiting for the wheel to go round to let everyone off) and she's having such a great time! They've seen 3 bands already (not sure who) and are now off to see Sinead oConnor before heading to bed. The place is a mudswamp (which of course makes it even more fun for nelly )

Just had to share

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/06/2008 21:28

firsty - ty is a real cutie. and as bodders says it is so nice to see a pic of him at last. he doesnt look that big either, i was expecting a HUGE baby!!! is he still heavier than marcy at least or has my little porker topped them all with her weight!!!? she did eat a whole round of cheese sandwiches today for lunch.......she is so easy i can just cut it into 4 and shes off! none of this pureed mush for my baby, she eats like the big kids!!!

babylove - didnt see your thread, but i am guessing you have been reassured and felt movements now. it might be that your placenta is very anterior and you can tfeel much movement because of that which they will be able to see at your next scan.......although come to thhink of it, i didnt feel any movements at all until about 22 wks first time round.

well..just had sex and SO nearly forgot to use a condom. dh remembered halfway through the action ( after me reminding us both to start with by the way!)..........could have been another mini jones (my surname, by the way!!) cos i am sure i am fertile at the moment.......hence my horniness too!

anyway........back to you lot!!!

chooster, i love your pics too! i think your school system sounds good, but what ellis did here worked really well for him.
bodders - ellis is a july baby but didnt start school till january cos they do 2 intakes here and i feel like he has spent the whole term playing catch up with the older kids who started in sept. he would definately have been ready last sept, so its not always a bad thing them going when they are only just 4.

just had his first school report and it was so sweet! cant believe how fast he is growing up...........i know everyone says it, but its true!!

i realy have so much more to say, but i havent had dinner yet and i am starving!!! (as normal!).......better go!

love to everyone else i havent mentioned!
have FAB weekends all............i intend to!!!

by the way bodders............dh would LOVE to take our older 2 to glastonbury and i keep telling him its not suitable.........................i have conceded to going to a one day festival with all of them first and then i might let him take them in a couple of years. maybe i am just being mean and dont want to miss out?! let me know what nelly makes of it................actually now i am thinking about it they would LOVE it wouldnt they? we always used to camp right next to the green fields......................anyway.............tummy's a rumblin'

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/06/2008 21:29

crossed with you bodders! obviously nelly is having lots of fun! i dont remember a big wheel!¬!! must be a new thing! you are making me feel bad for not letting dh go with the kids!

fettle · 27/06/2008 21:31

Keep reading and not having time to post properly - sorry.

Chooster - your boys are gorgeous!!! Also i was a late Jan baby and went to school in Scotland, so I was youngest in my year. Suffered a bit in our local primary, but then my parents took me out and sent me to the local prep school, which suited me much better. My brother actually started even earlier as he is April baby who started the year before he should. He resat his last year at prep school as although he was bright enough to move on, the teachers thought he could do with maturing a bit more - it did him the world of good!

My DD has been in the Kindergarten of her school since September doing 3 half days and 2 full days and from this September at 4.5years she'll be doing 5 full days from the start! she tried on her uniform this evening which I got second hand - she suddenly looks so small again! I'm going to really relish the summer holidays with her - i can't wait for them!!!

Bodders - can't believe that Nelly is at Glastonbury - what fun for her!!! And what fun for you a weekend on your own with Isla! Sounds fantastic.

Sure i had loads more to say, but I can't remember what and have to go now.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

All well here - Toby is pulling himself up more and more often now - helped me unload the dishwasher today (or at least he tried, thank goodness he couldn't actually get the bowls out that he was reaching for!!).

Take care

hi everyone!!

i have been reading all of your very chatty posts but have no time to post properly, we have started again working on the house so things are a bit up in the air everywhere but it is nearly finished thank god!!

bodkin i cant believe your dd is in glastonbury with her dad - how cool!!!

firstar ty looks gorgeous in his pic such a big boy now!!

when is it the first birthday on here? time is just flying past!!

bit of a TMI question here - those of you that tore when having a baby does it feel strange inside? i had a little feel inside whilst in the bath last night and i have so many ridges internally from stitching and it made me feel a bit funny - could this cause problems when giving birth again? its not uncomfortable or anything just feels odd. although dp has no complaints

oscar and dp are downstairs watching rambo on dvd together im supposed to be sorting out the washing...who has the better deal.....?

id better get on with it i suppose byeeee x

Chooster · 28/06/2008 20:09

Hi all, so glad DD is having a balst - sounds like DP is too Bodkin! . She'll be talking about it for weeks I'm sure .

Anyway am really short on time as we decided to go to London after all and we leave tomorrow morning and are back on Tuesday morning. Of course, cue Theo being poorly today!!! He's not so bad but is just out of sorts and didn't take his milk etc... Hoping its just teeth and he'll be Ok tomorrow [hopeful emotion] . Fingers crossed! Hope you are all having lovely weekends so far and speak when I get back!!! Wow, can't believe I'm actualy going on a flight and I can say 'yes' to the offer of a cup of tea . And read a newspaper!!! (OK, a gossip trashy mag ).

honeyapple · 28/06/2008 20:21

evening all
DP has buggered off for the weekend to his sister's in austria so he can watch the final of euro cup... sis's DP is spanish...so I have all 3 of them on my own till tuesday. Tired already! Dex is a bit off colour at the moment and so slightly whingy and clingy which is tough- my arm is aching from having him constantly on my hip.

Greedy- how many teeth has marcy now? Dex is still toothless but has gums of steel... not quite up to cheese sandwiches yet .

Firsty- how old is Ty? I am losing track- can we have a birthday update please!
Dexter- 5/11/07

bodders- glad to hear DD1 is having such a good time- I hope the loo situation has improved since I went- I didnt dare do a poo all weekend!

Iamamummy- good to hear from you- yup I have a funny inside from stiches too from episiotomy with DS1- no problem having DD- took a tiny bit but didnt need stitches- and didnt tear at all with Dex- despite him being my biggest baby. (Guess I have a bit of a bucket fanjo by now!! Still no complaints from DP- mind you I'd lamp him if he said anything negative about my ladybits!)

Can't believe it is July soon... where is the year going???

Right 10 mins and then DS1 is going to bed and I can have the sofa to myself .

Hi All

not sure where all my time is going at the moment, but I don't ever seem to get time to sit down at the computer anymore!!!

hope everyone is well.

Chooster - have a fantastic time! Very jealous!! hope you packed your "hot" clothes as it is due to be 28 deg in London tomorrow!!

Firsty - hello! Keep forgetting to say that Toby doesn't really have milk consistently during the day - if I'm home he'll have a feed in the afternoon and also in mid-morning, but more often than not we're out and about and he's not interested in breast-feeding when there are other things to look at!! Probably why he wakes up so much still during the night! I'm slowly moving him onto more and more bottles, but I'm still enjoying breast-feeding, so I'm just going with the flow!

Greedy - I wasn't ignoring you the other night, your message only seemed to appear after I'd posted mine! Marcy does sound like a great eater - Toby is going off spoon-feeding at the moment and just wants finger foods, but generally doesn't actually get much in his mouth and most of it hits the floor! Found half a pear, in tiny half-chewed pieces in his top pocket of his dungerees last night!!!

Right - Toby is asleep so must get some more useful things done while I can!

Added Toby to the list below and put them in date order!

Ty - 01/08/07
Toby - 19/09/07

Hi Guys,

Just been catching up.

Bodkin - glad Glastonbury was good, hope DP and Nelly had a great time!

Greedy - Baby doing ok here thanks, i am still poorly myself so i think thats why he/she is very quiet. I get probably 4 - 5 kicks a day, used to be around 20 but im sure once i pick up so will they. Lol at the antics, well done for remembering! Better late than never eh?!

Chooster - glad you've gone on your trip. Hope it goes well!

Speak soon

Bodkin · 30/06/2008 21:54

Hi all - no time for a proper report - suffice to say they had a brilliant time and she hasn't stopped talking about it yet! Greedy - I would say that it would be fine to take the kids next year - well certainly the older two. They didn't see that much in the way of Big Names - just stayed around the smaller side fields looking at all the weird stuff and listening to the more quirky kinds of music - Indian, African etc. Apparently there were a few grim toilet encounters, with Nelly nearly falling in a few times!

I had a great weekend in london too, but feel a bit low now it;s all back to business as usual.

Chooster - hope you've had a great weekend and the boys not too poorly.

Greedy - careful now.... remember your DHs rambo sperm.....!

Babylove - sorry to hear you're poorly. try not to worry too much about the reduced movements - when is your next MW appt? Perhaps you could ask to be seen sooner to put your mind at rest?

Hi Fettle, Firsty, Honey and Iamamummy - hope you're all fine and dandy xx

Birthdays:

Isla - 09/07/07 (very soon and haven't organised a bloody thing!)
Ty - 01/08/07
Toby - 19/09/07
Dexter- 5/11/07

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/07/2008 16:25

wow! all these 1st birthdays coming up!!!

added the mooster to the list too!
Isla - 09/07/07 (very soon and haven't organised a bloody thing!)
Ty - 01/08/07
Toby - 19/09/07
mooster 10/10/07
Dexter- 5/11/07

bodders - glad glasto was good for them. i think the lack of hygiene is the real thing that puts me off....and the very early morning waking which is inevitable when camping............and the mountains (literally) of poo in the toilets by sunday night! BUT i would HATE to miss out if dh took them so i would HAVE to go!!

fettle - your dd hads been doing lots of hours at preschool already hasnt she , so i am sure she will be fine with full days in sept. i cant believe my little (or not so little ) kiki is starting in the school nursery in sept too. had a little cry today when i thought about it and realised how fast they are all growing up......saddo that i am!

honey - HELLO!!!! marcy has 6 teeth now (2 of them in the wrong place i think!)............i think she uses all her energy to grow hair and teeth and that is why she cant be arsed to crawl or roll (although.................she did actually roll over the other day....once!!!)she still just sits there bless her!
so when and where shall we meet in the summer hols then? i can do mon wed or fris. i think ellis would love to meet tilly!

chooster - hope your weekend was fab and you had some good quality time with dh. i bet you really missed your boys.

firsty - sorry! i wont share anymore of my bedroom antics! ..well.....i'll try not to, but i just feel like i need to share sometimes!

ellis has his first ever sports day tomorrow! think he might be the opposite of your dd fettle and LOSE every race............we will see!

af arrived for my sis again today which is really crap and she is talking about giving up trying. normally i would encourage that and then hope that it might just happen when they are more relaxed and not actually trying.......but as they are artificially inseminating that wont happen, so if she gives up thats it. its so sad when she knows she CAN get pg, but i can see why she is fed up with it all.

cityangel.....................how close are you now?

fettle · 01/07/2008 17:27

Hi All

Haven't got long as always - was just writing something on the calendar and realised that we are coming up to London for Tuesday 29th July - does anyone fancy meeting up on Wednesday 30th July in London somewhere then?

Have to arrange details off-line, but let's see who's interested first - that is school holidays isn't it? My DD's holidays start next Wednesday!!!

Don't think Glasto and toilets are for me BTW!!!! But not sure it is DH's cup of tea either! Sure DD would love it though!!

Right - my monkey is trying to climb up my leg to get at the laptop, so i'm off!!!

(only 5 teeth here, Greedy - Marcy is planning on developing physically first, before moving isn't she!!).

xxx

pps - ssshhhh!!![sorry Firsty] - finally FSAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

fettle · 01/07/2008 17:28

ps bodders - still not received Nelly's invite to Isla's birthday party!!!!

Chooster · 01/07/2008 18:57

Wow, FSAB Fettle!!! Good work!! Is everything feeling OK down there now after the op?

Hi babylove, I guess the lack of movement could also be because the baby has shifted? But I reckon you being poorly has a lot to do with it too. Babylove junior is probably conserving his enery to help his mum .

Thats a lot of teeth Greedy (Marcy obviously!). Actually I suppose its not its just that Theo still just has the two bottom ones - very cute though!!

Hi everyone else!!! Would love to meet at the end of July in London... If you guys have a good take up I may try to arrange a visit .

So, anyway as you've guessed we are now back from our little break. And it was a mix of brilliant and rubbish! The bit with DH was great and we had such a good time . As much as I love the boys, it just felt so good to be able to please ourselves for 2 days and go where we wanted without thinking about mealtimes / nap times / kids getting tired etc. So we had some great meals and went to a comedy show, took a boat trip etc - it was brilliant. But, the rubbish bit was that I think Theo and I have the same bug as he had a fever and was sick most of yesterday so MIL called out the doctor for him and I was in bed with a fever and generally feeling crap from about 7pm yesterday. I got up this morning, had a shower and as I was washing my hair realised I was feeling a bit faint but it was too late to do anything about it and before I knew it I'm lying in the bath having passed out. . I was so spaced but remember looking up at DH and thought what am I doing down here.... I suppose I was lucky really as I could have hurt myself or fallen out the bath. Anyway so we're home and Theo and I are still a bit under the weather so early night for me... He's already in bed.

Have a nice evening ladies!

iamamummy · 01/07/2008 19:08

hi ladies

a meetup sounds great i am about an hour away from london by train so i am definately up for seeing you all at last!!! ohhhhh im soooo excited already

chooster - poor you! lucky you didnt hurt yourself i hope you and theo feel better soon.

fettle - huge congrats on fsab, was everything comfortable now after the op? it wasnt that long ago you had it either really was it.

babylove - keep an eye on the kicks and if you are ever worried see your midwife its far better to be safe than sorry.

honey - thanks for making me feel "normal"

not much to report here i think oscar is teething as he is dribbling for england and cyhomping down on everything, even his spoon when i feed him its getting bloody hard work to prize it out of his mouth!
