Morning all

Dex did another stupendous sleep... had to wake him up to feed him and take DC to school. Fingers crossed this is a pattern he is going to stick to.

Fettle- hope Toby is ok with the jabs... Dex has got his 2nd lot next week. What is the third injection for? Did they do the polio one in his mouth yet? Dex only had 2 jabs first time around. That Messiah was a bit gruesome!

mrs- any action overnight?

Seaside and Iampg- a lot of the lovely ladies on here were early- Bodders you were 38 wks, i think??

Sorry- so excited about the pending births that I cant remember what I was going to say to anyone else!

greedygreedyguzzler · 25/04/2008 22:18

i think that woman should have gone from the apprentice too, Jen is it? i quite liked lindy.....she should have stayed for a bit longer............interesting eye make up i thought!!!!

one of my patients is the cab driver who drives them all away at the end when they have their interview in the cab, so he was telling me all about them without giving too much away of course! i did try and get it out of him who won bt he was very good at not saying anything although i do know a few people who it isn't!!

night all, me and my piles are off to bed!!!

fettle · 26/04/2008 08:56

Hey Greedy - are you sure your patient is telling the truth? I heard that it was all filmed at the start of the series them driving away in the cab - that's why their hair is always different (have you never noticed?). But they do interview them in a taxi as well I suppose, so that must be after the real board room I suppose.

anyway, I (and toby!) think that Jen should have gone - she's not very pleasant!

toby didn't do too badly last night, only woke once at 1am, despite his awful snottiness and chesty cough.

Right - can't sit on here for long anymore - Toby is in DD's make and do corner now!!!

xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 26/04/2008 11:58

fettle - he said it was all filmed last year sometime and that they film them all in the taxi being interviewed before each task so they dont even know if they have been fired or not when they get interviewed. thats why they are always so vague in their interviews and dont mention specific people. i am sure he wasnt fibbing!

at work now and very depressed cos i want to be out in this glorious sunshine!

well done toby on your sleeping.........marcy seems to be alternating at the moment.......one night its 7 till 7 then the next night she decides to wake up and chat for 1/2 an hour until she has made sure i am fully awake and she dozes back off leaving me awake for the rest of the night!!! last night she woke at 6am (which i guess isnt too bad, but she def wasnt ready to wake up for the day) and she seemed in so much pain with her teeth so i rubbed on the old calgel and amazingly she went back to sleep almost instantly! i never really thought that stuff worked much but now i am a firm believer!!

Chooster · 26/04/2008 21:07

Wow, so Scorpio has had her Millie (Congrats Scorpio!!!! Great to hear that feeding is going well .) and Greedy and Honey have survived the meet-up! I toop had imagines you with blonde hair Honey - it must be the name you've got . Its good to hear that you guys had a good time - I know what you mean about using MN names in real life... whenever MrsMc and I chat about you lot, it always sounds like we are part of a wierd sect ...

Sounds like there is a lot of illness going on as well, and I need to add Theo to the list . He had a rotten cold before we left for centreparcs but I was hoping it would clear but it just lingered on and he was really out of sorts... It was such a shame as he could really enjoy the swimming etc... and to top it all, when we were driving home yesterday evening he was dozing in his car seat all clean and in his jammies when I smelt a really over-powering smell of poo. On further investigation it had leaked out of the nappy so I knew I'd have to change him and clean him up in the next lay-by. As I was doing this he became really upset then did a projectile vomit all over me, in my mouth, eyes, all over my clothes and the car. It was one of those moments when you just dont move for a few seconds just to be sure its actually happened . Poor wee soul... Anyway, he seems a little perkier today so I'm hoping its passing. DH was dispatched this morning to clean the car out .

All in all though Centreparcs was good fun. DS1 had an absolute ball which is the main thing although DH and I did bicker about our favourite subject - him being too quick to shout at DS1 .

Good to catch up with you all but am going to head to bed now as am knackered and I dont imagine Theo will sleep that well tonight. He'd done about 4 nights of sleeping through in a row before the holiday so I'm hopeful he'll learn that again .

Chooster · 26/04/2008 21:09

Oopps, meant to say that he couldn't really enjoy the swimming...

I also agree that Jen should have gone from the apprentice - she seems really horrible!! Lindy seemed OK and I'd like Lucinda to stay in for a bit for the entertainment value

rainbowdays · 27/04/2008 11:09

sorry brief here one handed typing, have posted pics for you.

fettle · 27/04/2008 16:49

Beautiful photos - Rainbowy = hope all is ok with you?

Chooster - shame about your holiday. But good that Theo is getting better now. At least Max sounded as if he had a good time! Poor you and the sick episode - not what you need in the middle of a layby! hoping Toby behaves tomorrow on our long car drive up to my friend's.

I'm so horribly hungover today it's untrue - very late night and a bottle of port was fun at the time, but DC are suffering today due to mine and DH's lethargy!

Really not looking forward to leaving DH and DD for a week (never been away from DD for so long). Am kind of excited about seeing my friend, but wish it was under better circumstances. Also don't like driving long distances on my own - hate stopping at motorway services, not sure why?! But i can't drive 4 hours without stopping - doubt Toby will let me anyway!

Well better go pack and sort things out and hope I can have an early night! Take care all

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/04/2008 20:28

cute pics rainbowy - hope jak is setling into family life. how are you all adjusting to the new addition?

fettle - a week will fly by you wait and see. before you know it you will be back home and if you do miss them too much you could always come home early anyway. love the fact that it is dd you will miss and not dh! hope your journey is ok and hope its not all too emotional for you and your friend (although i am sure it will be)

hiya choosterchops - sorry your littlest man was ill for you at centerparcs and especially sorry he puked all over you! did make me chuckle a bit though.........sorry!!!! marcy did a projectile vomit over me last night and it was a carrot mixed in with milk one so bright orange all over my new white top!!! didnt go anywhere near my mouth though thank god!!!

not had a very eventful weekend here really. enjoyed the sunshine yesterday after work. went to a local pub which has a fab beer garden with loads of kids stuff in and managed to sink a few pints of lager and lime whilst ellis and kiki played !!!! and then all had a very unhealthy pub dinner...........even gave marcy a couple of chips...........but i have to say that was honeys bad influence cos she gave dex some when we met up so i figured it had to be ok!
not done much else though, a nice relaxing weekend!

dh is watching the grand prix that he recorded earlier so looks like i am on here for the rest of the night!!! either that or housework!!!!.............

Blimey, I've missed loads! And I've missed all the gossip about Honey and Greedy's meeting - but it did make me chuckle - espesh the photo of Marcy and Honey (who is a total fox - she never let on she was such a looker!)

Fettle - I am totally on for our meeting! It'll be here before we know it.

Gotta dash - will do more in a min xx

Bodkin · 28/04/2008 11:01

grrrr just typed a huge message, one handed and then isla grabbed the keyboard and somehow opened up google earth and i lost the lot!!

no time to do it all again, so just HI to everyone... too busy with work at the mo to do any MNing in the evenings, and too busy with kids in the day! argggh! will be back soon though i promise

honeyapple · 28/04/2008 18:34

hi bodders

Well had the estate agent round to take pics of the house today- it was amazingly super tidy and clean after a weekend of scrubbing and de-junking... hope I can keep it up . Quite exciting really- just hope that we get some people interested and we arent just sitting around for months and months, oh well, fingers crossed... You can all have a nose on rightmove soon!

Dex had his 2nd swimming lesson today- so sweet- he loves the water. He really is becoming a lovely little man (if I say so myself). His hair is going really blonde too. DP had white blond hair as a toddler but is now really dark.

LOL x

Chips for a baby - how shocking ... Theo has had loads of them, and sneaky bits of Max's chocolate too - he loves it all .

Actually my poor little lamb is still poorly. he's been sick every evening (and at 4.30am this morning). He has a really bad cough and cold so can only think its this? His food is pretty much coming up un-digested though. Did Isla have somthing similar Bodders? Do you guys think its worth taking him to the doctors?? I'm just not sure what they would do but its his 4 night od being sick and he's had a cough for about a week and a half...

Apart from that we are good here, bloody Max has been waking at 5.30 / 5.45 since we got home from holidays but its back to nursery for him tomorrow so that should tire him out more .

So Honey, have you already bought somewhere? If not where are you looking?

I guess its good and bad to be busy with work eh Bodkin? Are you back to the same amount as pre-Isla?

I never saiud about Marcy's hair Greedy, but WOW, she's curly!!!!!! Love that one where you say you'd let her get wet! Very very cute! How's the piles???? Do you want us to set up a Piles fund in the same way as my VVV's???

Lovely pics rainbow!!!!! Very very cute and lovely . How is Jak??

Right better go, going to see whats going on in Corrie

greedygreedyguzzler · 28/04/2008 20:26

hello all!

chooster - i would def take theo to the docs. just to put your mind at rest if nothing else. that is what they are there for isn't it? you always sound so chirpy on so little sleep......how do you do it?

i know chips aren't shocking really! just not something marcy had ever had pre-honeyapple...............mind you i did leave marcy with honey when i took kiki to the toilet so i expect she was force feeding her masses of chips then, so she was actually probably bored of chips by the time i gave her what i thought was her first one!!!

bodders - meant to say to you about MA - i am still getting some now......even though i have tld them i have gone back to work! not sure what is going on with it really, but who am i to question it too much if they want to keep giving me money!!! good you are busy at work, me too at the mo..............obviously lots of people carrying around stained glass windows and dropping them when their back goes into spasm................how else can you explain that we are both busy!!!??

honey - i want to have a nose at your house............i imagine it with blonde hair!! good luck with keeping it tidy! (whenever i say tidy now i think of 'gavin and stacey', did anyone else watch that!!??)

better go.....got a chilli sticking to the pan. having a night off the wine tonight.......wish me luck!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 28/04/2008 20:28

erm................did any of that actually make sense?...........

honeyapple · 28/04/2008 22:37

chooster- agree with greedy- take the wee man to the doctors. Horrid when they are ill. Hope we perks up soon. Havent even started looking at houses to move to... think will wait until we have some interest in ours- would hate to find dream house and then not be able to have it... Still staying in same area- just need more space and a big garden please!

greedy- your post made 50% sense ... Yeah Marcy LOVED the chips i gave her when you were wiping Kiki's bum . Dex ate most of my supper tonight- which was fish and CHIPS and corn on the cob. He particularly enjoyed chewing the cob... ooor errr that sounds a bit rude...

OP posts:
honeyapple · 30/04/2008 13:06

is anybody there???????????

sale board has gone up...
dreadful spelling in the estate agents details... just going to pop in and get it sorted- I mean honestly! Dont they have spell check????

OP posts:
Chooster · 30/04/2008 13:40

HELLO!!!! I'm here! Just got 2 sickly children now... I took Theo to the docs and he said he thought it was just a virus that was now causing the sickness and bottom problems (can't be bothered trying to spell the 'd' word ) and that it should just run its course - but then he's worse today and still coughing badly so I may call back to get some anti-biotics. At least thats what the doc said to do.

So anyway, both kids are settled last night and me and DH are relaxing watching the footie when I check on max and he is lying in his own puke. He's still on his side and its sprayed all over hte wall next to him and his jammies are soaked with it. The funniest thing about it was that he had taken 3 little action men to bed and they were in the puke pool drowning - it was like a scene from a film as they lay there . Anyway, I digress - we wake DS1 strip him, mop him down and change his bedding and pop him back in and I dont think he knew what had happened. Have any of your DC's ever been sick in their sleep and not woken up - I can see it with a baby but Max is almost 4??? I hoped it was a one-off but them he vommed again this morning so he's home from nursery. of course he's now perfectly well and asking for biscuits and generally getting under my feet .

Grrrrr!!!!! Someday I will get a proper night sleep wont I???? Surely?????

Great news that the board is up Honey! Hopefully you'll get loads of interest . pop a link on here so we can have a nosey . I guess the trick is to keep it tidy now - not easy with 3 kids I bet... that was always the bit that I didn't like when selling a house - you always feel a bit on show. Up here in Scotland you ahve specific viewing slots, Sunday afternoon and thursday evening and although you do still get the odd person ring on your bell, its not that common. So we could be a bit slobby the reat of the week .

So did you give in to the call of the wine bottle Greedy! ... Love your comment as well about Greedy's house being blonde .

Right, DS2 is sleeping and DS1 is busy so I'd better get on...

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/04/2008 20:46

oh choosterchops! you poor thing. i hate sick its one of the worst things. and your poor little boys. at least if max didnt wake up it didnt upset him too much, its a bit worrying though isnt it? ellis puked in his sleep when he was about 1 yr old. we went up to bed and i thought i could smell sick and dh said i was being silly, but when we went in to check on him before going to bed he had puked everywhere. not nice is it? he always sleeps with a bowl next to his bed now cos he is paranoid about being sick. actually he told me that one of his freinds at school was sick all over the floor today and he saw her do it, so i expect he will prob catch some bug off her and be puking all night..........or maybe he will save it for tomorrow cos it is my birthday tomorrow and i cant think of a better way to celebrate than moping up sick all day!

cant believe it has been so quiet on here lately! a whole day wiith no posts at all.......thats unheard of isnt it?

honey - glad its all happening with your house. i want to have a nosey too so give us the details of how to view it online!!!

got a crap birthday planned for tomorrow............well.....i havent actually planned to have a crap birthday, but i am working so the kids go to the childminders and i dont get to see them hardly at all and all my patients that are booked in are boring moany ones (apart from one!) so i am not looking forward to it much! we are going to pretend sunday is my birthday instead and have a lovely day then hopefully!!!

honeyapple · 01/05/2008 11:10

happy birthday greedy hope your day isnt too crap . I bet your DH will have got you something fab.

Happy Birthday greedy!!! hope your patients haven't been too boring and moany today . have you got a nice meal planned?

LOVELY house Honey!!! Are you sure you have 3 kids . My place looks like a bombs hit it and I only have 2 of the blighters . It looks SO good though, its bound to get snapped up soon...

Also Hooorraayyy for the solid poo . Theo has finally done a solid poo after 7 days - hope this means he is on the mend. He has been a bit brighter today which is good.

Right better dash - DS1 wants a story x

Chooster · 01/05/2008 20:56

Scrap that! Theo woke himself up with an explosive poo and I've just finished clearing up more sick after he woke again... Have posted on the health section as its been like this for a week now . Its just getting really waring and not to mention rotten for him

fettle · 02/05/2008 14:31

Hi all

I'm home - emotionally and physically drained and exhausted. I'll tell you all more later when I've more time and energy.

Honey - beautiful house - I'd buy it!!! If you feel it is small, it really is amazing what estate agents manage with their photos!

Chooster - really hope your boys are better soon. D&V are really my worst nightmare. DD was very sick as I've probably said before and she frequently was sick in her sleep after a coughing fit and just slept through it - many many nights we had to wake her up and change her/bath her if necessary. It was worrying really. Toby has a really hacking cough again and was sick the other night at my friend's house - he's also not been sleeping very well, so I'm looking forward to my lie-in tomorrow!!

Greedy - Happy Birthday for yesterday - sure you had a lovely day!

Bodders - must firm up a date, but it really isn't long now!

Got my date through for my operation - really not looking forward to that - not quite sure what I do with regards to breast-feeding and Toby, as he still won't really take a bottle. I'm not even supposed to bring DH with me, just have him available to pick me up and look after me afterwards. Think I'll give them a ring and see what they say - I'm so phobic about smears that having this done under local anaesthetic, I'm going to need DH with me to hold my hand while I'm waiting to go into theatre, or else I'll just run away!!!

Right, must go feed Toby - he's been an angel all week especially in the car this morning despite obviously not feeling great.

Back later
