Morning all

Dex did another stupendous sleep... had to wake him up to feed him and take DC to school. Fingers crossed this is a pattern he is going to stick to.

Fettle- hope Toby is ok with the jabs... Dex has got his 2nd lot next week. What is the third injection for? Did they do the polio one in his mouth yet? Dex only had 2 jabs first time around. That Messiah was a bit gruesome!

mrs- any action overnight?

Seaside and Iampg- a lot of the lovely ladies on here were early- Bodders you were 38 wks, i think??

Sorry- so excited about the pending births that I cant remember what I was going to say to anyone else!

Hi all

Just had to quickly tell you about my comedy e-mail from Mumsnet this morning - announcing I had won their Sporty Bump competition - a full sporty maternity outfit!!!! I was rather baffled at first, but then I remembered I had sent in a tip about nappies the other day (which was to put a flushable liner in disposable nappies so that you can flush the poo down the loo and then carry on using the nappy) anywya, this had appartently entered me into the competitoin

oh god bloody metldown with the kids gootta go

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/04/2008 16:55

tell your kids to pack it in bodders!!! i want to know more!!!...........

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/04/2008 16:56

you will just have to have more kids so you get a chance to wear the outfit!

fettleandbabyfettle · 17/04/2008 19:40

ooh - Bodders your DC can't still be at it!! Tell us more.......

All good here - Toby only woke once last night at 1am! So pleased with him and he's been in such a lovely mood today, so chatty - probably in for a bad night tonight!

Off to see my friend who lost her baby in a couple of weeks with Toby - so hope it goes ok.

Anyway, best get packed lunches made for tomorrow.

honeyapple · 17/04/2008 20:19

congrats on your win bodders! Good tip BTW.

scorpio- how did the sweep go?- is Millie here??

OP posts:
scorpiohasstillnothadbaby · 17/04/2008 20:20

Sweep was ok, i don't feel much different...., i have another on Saturday and again Monday, being induced 8am Weds.

iamamummy · 17/04/2008 21:02

hi ladies

scorpio - sorry millie hasnt made an appearance yet - i hope things get moving soon and induction is avoided.

bodders - congrats on your win

i have just had a nice long soak in the bath, oscar went down at 8 (which he has made a habit of now literally putting himself to bed) and generally he sleeps through til 5/6ish.
we started baby massage last friday its our second sesh tomorrow but oscar absolutely loved it - knocked him out for the whole day mind.
things are back on track pretty much, i had a couple of bad weeks which i put mostly down to lack of sleep. dp has been much more supportive and helps out in the evenings with oscars bathing and feed etc.
our downstairs of our house is 99% complete so will post pics soon as i upload them, dp is espeically proud of his bar hence all the dinner parties we have been hosting.

i am off now as my pizza dough is nearly ready.

love to all xxx

Bodkin · 18/04/2008 11:52

Sorry about that chaps! Both kids howling at the same time about completely different things -didn't know where to start!

Well, I'm afraid I emailed mumsnet back and said thanks but no thanks. Was kinda hoping they'd offer me something else, but no joy (yet - still hopeful!)

Scorpio - hope that Millie baby puts an appearance in soon! I was just reading the thread on here about all the great things about newborn babies - it makes lovely reading if you're about to pop!

Fettle - yay Toby - that sounds like a good kip!

Iamammuumy - glad things are a bit more settled for you, and oscar sounds like he is doing well with the nights - fab! Glad you and DF have had a chat and got things sorted

Chooster - good work on the weightloss and the nights! You are making me very tempted to put those boobs away and get Isla on the formula! In fact the other night she woulnd#'t settle after having both sides, so I brought her downstairs for a burp and a cuddle, and gave her a beaker of that Hipp Good night milk (that has been sitting virtually untouched for the last few weeks) and then put ehr to bed at 8pm and she slept until 5.45... so will have to try that again.
Your boys sound cute chasing each other around!

Greedy - enjoy Marcy's lazyness while it lasts! Isla is pulling up on everything and constantly trying to stand... she is sporting a rather lovley black eye at the mo thanks to one of her less well judged attempts (and unobservant mummy ) It was actually her cheek bone that she banged but she has a lovely shiner as a result!

Another attempt at nursery today... another failure! They phoned me after 40 minutes saying "she is in a bit of a tiz" which is a polite way of saying "full on baby temper-tantrum meltdown headbanging nightmare"! So next week I am going to pop in and stay with her for 15 mins or so every other day, in an attempt to get her more used to it. They are great there though, very understanding.

Hi everyone else!

Bodkin · 18/04/2008 11:54

cor, shocking typing, sorry!

fettleandbabyfettle · 18/04/2008 15:35

Coming in for some warmth and a hug - think I've got PMT. Just left a rather short post on a thread about reduced movements, as I'm still shaken up about my friend. But I do wish people would get their heads around the fact that MWs would rather see you if you are at all concerned about anything, such as reduced movement than not. [grumpy and sad emoticon]

Scorpio - hope you're not getting too frustrated. Hope it happens soon for you.

Bodders - can't believe you refused a free gift!!!! I'm sorry Isla is not settling in nursery. I'm sure she will soon - it will just take time.

DD wants a cuddle so have to go!

honeyapple · 18/04/2008 18:46

oooh yes bodders wanted to know how that hipp goodnight stuff went... might have to give it a whirl with dex soon as he is driving me mad waking at 3am (if not before)...

scorpio- come on millie!

sorry gotta go get ready...

marcy has her first tooth!!! explains her screeching noises when feeding i guess! she is still a lazy lardarse though!!! a very cute one though with mad curly hair! must post another pic! her hair is super curly when its wet and then goes straight when it dries...........and its getting blonder too...............i might end up with a little girl with blond ringlets at this rate!!!

fettle - glad to hear toby is finally getting the idea that night time is for sleeping! sounds like everyones babies are finally learning.............good job too!!!.............once they start sleeping through the broodiness kicks in again though!!!

my 3 have all been gorgeous all week ( apart from a marcy wobbly moment in tescos yesterday when she was desperate for food and i was determined to finish my shopping!!..............felt like the whole shop was looking at me, but strangley i was completely chilled about the whole thing...............think i was in denial that she was screaming and i thought it was someone elses baby!) anyway they have all been so sweet that i have been super broody again!

bodders - i am sure nursery will be ok in the end. kiki used to scream and scream when she was 7 months and i left her at the childminders.....but she got used to it after about 3 sessions and was fine. i know its not the same.....but sounds like you need a bit of a break from isla sometimes too, so keep trying and i am sure it will be fine.

scorpio - sorry you are still hanging on. your tummy must be so nice and comfy for millie she wants to stay put.

you ok firsty? you havent been around for a while?

you too seaside? all ok?

iamamummy - glad to hear youo sounding happier! babies are great aren't they?!!

honeyapple ...............6 days and counting till our meetup!!!............

fettleandbabyfettle · 20/04/2008 11:50

hi all

Well done Marcy getting a first tooth so easily!!! One night waking for it, just doesn't count!!!!!

Toby is frighteningly quick now making his way rolling and creeping around the room - he seems to have developed an unhealthy interest in the DVD player as that is where he always ends up (unless there is a slight downwards slope in our floor over there )

Yesterday we left him on his playmat in the sitting-room, while the rest of us were in the kitchen. DH suddenly jumped as there at the door to the kitchen was Toby! He must have seen us all go and just rolled and rolled and followed us! I'm not ready to baby-proof my house yet - it was so easy with DD as there wasn't a toddler in the house leaving all sorts over the place!

Anyway, can't stop long - should be helping DH, but I'm grumpy and tired (Toby is back to every 2-3 hour wakings, so assume more teeth are the on the way!) AND I've got AF again! Knew it was coming today though - typical now we've decided not to have anymore children after months of TTC Toby with the help of MN, I'm now so intune with my body that I knew exactly the day I ovulated, so knew AF would arrive today and bang on time, it did!

Better go getting death stares!

Scorpio - how you doing? Not too uncomfortable, I hope?

back later to catch up properly....

Chooster · 20/04/2008 19:53

Still no baby Scorpio??? Looking forward to hearing the news .

So the goodnight milk may have worked Bodders - I've also got some but just haven't got round to trying it. Theo's not been too bad recently and slept through again last night but that pesky DS1 was awake from about midnight to 2.30am... He wasn't too much trouble but kept coming in out room when he must have been bored . Not sure what was up with him but he did insist on wearing his too-small batman suit to bed and as soon as I took that off at 2.30am he went straight off to sleep. He'd refused up until then and I think he just didn't want to admit it wasn't comfy . Sorry to hear the nursery is not quite going to plan - as fettle says it will get better, just slow perserverence for a while... Hopefully if you can stay with her a few times she may be more relaxed?

So the meet-up is close Greedy and Honey??? I'm heading for Centreparcs tomorrow so wont be back on here til friday - if neither of you come back on then I guess that means that it hasn;t gone well . Mmmm, hope it wasn't me thats scared MrsMc off??? .

Well done on Marcy first tooth!!! Its very cute when they get those bottom teeth isn't it ... You are SO having another baby as well Greedy!!!! Am sure you will only get more broody .

Right, I'd better be off - am meant to be packing as DH is out working tonight... Better get to it eh!!! Have a good week ladies and look forward to catching up at the end of the week xx

scorpio1 · 21/04/2008 06:40

congrats scorpio.................enjoy having a pink one!

hiya firsty......you are such a busy girl!

honey - better swap email addresses otherwise we will have to broadcast details of our meetup to the world! arent you supposed to write them funny so that you dont get millions of junk emails or something? mine is jfjones at hotmail dot com

marcy lazy lardarse has been a grumpy lazy lardarse this weekend so i think her teeth must be bothering her more than i thought. off to play around with the photos on my profile!

honeyapple · 21/04/2008 15:11

congrats Scorpio! Glad to hear BF going well... did you BF the others? I seem to remember you didnt and this was your first go at BF... in which case WELL DONE! And it is lovely . Looking forward to seeing a piccie.

Greedy- I told you it would be a tooth! Yes..right I will email you in a minute.

Went swimming with Dex this morning for first time- have enrolled him in a baby class and it was so lovely- he really took to it and didnt even mind going completely under! Still rubbish at night- thinking a tooth may be on its way- but it is taking it's time . He also still has a cold. (Didnt want to not go to first swimming lesson though...)

We've decided to try and sell our house (bad time I know) so have been having a mass clear out and sort out of junk... unbelieve amount of boxes filled to go off to MIL's garage. The house is looking really good- and estate agents seemed positive- so fingers crossed. Will prob get a board up in next week or so... crikey- got to keep the house tidy ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

Firsty- hello! Good to hear from you .

Must buy goodnight milk...

pics

honeyapple · 22/04/2008 09:58

aaahhh lovely pics Scorpio- specially the BF one . SO glad that it is going well for you... dont be put off if your nips get a bit sore... it doesnt last for long. And you know you are giving Millie the best start to life. (Dont jump on my back you bottle feeders! yikes...)

Dex is driving me mad with his rubbish sleeping. However managed to get him back to sleep twice last night without feeding him- although gave in at 4.30am. And I had given him a top up at about 11pm... grrr. Scorpio dont let this put you off BF either! He was a great little sleeper, and my DD slept through from 6wks and she was solely BF.

Greedy- did you get my email? Think we better swop mb numbers too just in case you decide to stand me up .

Right off to supermarket [yawn emoticon].

Cycle 21 here. Someone please tell me that it will happen, because I am seriously thinking about throwing in the towel. Sorry to barge in on you all like this... but I need a good slap!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/04/2008 14:16

hey ready! it WILL happen, its just taking a while.......a long while i know, but i am absolutely sure it will happen for you. why dont you take a few months off and throw your thermometer away and try not to think about ttc. probably virtually impossible to do now cos you must be so in tune with your body by now, but it might do you both good to have a break for a few months. dont stop coming on MN though!

whats happening with the GP and any investigations?

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/04/2008 14:19

i had a rubbish nights sleep last night too honey!!!........kiki fell out of bed at 2.30am and banged her head on her bedside table, then she woke up screaming at 5.15am cos she had had a nightmare, then she managed to wake marcy up who stayed awake until 6.30am!!! and then all 3 of them woke at 7.15am! AArrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!

just off to check if i got your email
