I am 31 weeks pregnant with DS2, due end of October. While the pregnancy has no complications (I'm lucky, I know), I had a rough first trimester and now the third trimester has gifted me with sciatica.

All I want to do is lay on the sofa and sleep. I can't though, because DS1 is 27 months and really pushing boundaries. I've got him watching way too much TV, but it's the only way to get through the past couple of weeks.

I hate being pregnant. I want to skip ahead to when DS2 is finally here, when I won't be quite so enormous, when hopefully the sciatica will subside, and when I will be able to properly parent DS1 again (and have cuddles with DS2).

Anyone with me?

I'm 37+1 and thankfully have an ELCS booked for next Wednesday when I'll be 38+2. As of tomorrow I'll be the most pregnant I've ever been as #1 was a caesarean at 37+2. I just don't know how I'd cope with potentially another month of this if I was waiting for labour to start 😬

Just been back for another physio appointment because I'm really struggling with pain in my SI joint and sciatica... It's really miserable with that on top of feeling like the size of a house ☹️. Desperately don't want labour to start before the caesarean though - added stress I could do without...

Can I ask, those that are quite far along (I'm 38+1) how are you finding baby's movement has changed? I know I'm anxious about this stuff. It feels like I'm getting a lot less kicking and only really feeling baby moving around a lot. I cant remember if it was the same with my first, I think it was but it was 2 years ago now and he came along at 37+6

I think they say as long as you feel regular movement then it should be ok. Or movement at the usual time they happen for you.
Baby has less room to move at this stage, so moves are more likely to be rolls and turns, rather than big kicks. For me it really varies day to day - some quiet days, some really active days - so I'm not the best example as that's just my baby's "pattern", if you can even call it that...

As the midwives keep telling me: if in doubt, come in and get checked. Even if it's every day!! They'd rather you did that than not.

I've only been in for foetal heart rate monitoring once at around 28 weeks due to only feeling "faint" movements, and everything was thankfully fine.
I still have moments of doubt every day about movements, it's just so tricky!!

I'm only 22 weeks but I've got a cold this week so feel rubbish. On top of that I get random back aches and stomach aches. My belly has suddenly popped this week but already thinking how much bigger can I get 😭. I cried to DH today because I was so uncomfortable and fed up.

greenerfingers · 05/10/2022 00:31

32+3 and baby has its head firmly wedged in my ribs. Every day is slow torture now (also mentally knowing it's breech still it's so stressful). And potentially another 2 months to go. 🫣

So my waters went around 7.30 last night and baby boy no.2 joined us just before midnight!

Oh my! Congratulations @Pinktruffle. Hope you're both doing well 💕

ChloeHel · 05/10/2022 09:09

I am now joining in on this! Happy due date to me haha!

Ive been feed up since around the 37 week mark :( was really convinced baby no2 would be here early because I’ve had so many niggles and pains, but alas, here we are at 40 weeks! I’ve got a sweep with my midwife today so fingers crossed she’ll be here soon! First DD was also born on her due date!

hope everyone is doing ok :)

i123i · 05/10/2022 09:15

Congratulations @Pinktruffle - fantastic news!
Sending strength to all those in their final weeks! I've been coping with a daily slice of cake... something I'll probably regret post birth 😂

Pinktruffle · 05/10/2022 11:53

Thank you all for the well wishes. We are both doing really well, just absolutely shattered as I've only had 2 hours sleep!

I hope some of you are able to join me in the mum club soon!

Congrats on those with babies here!
I’m 39+3 and SO over it. Uncomfortable, awful acid reflux, overly emotional etc etc. Baby was 3/5 engaged at my appointment last week and I’m booked in for a sweep at 40+4. Good luck everyone for the final stretch!

MooseBreath · 05/10/2022 14:07

@Pinktruffle Congratulations!! You are free and you have your perfect little guy!

I'm nearly 37 weeks now and having Braxton Hicks contractions daily. Hoping to join you in the "Baby's Out" club soon!

35 weeks here and I could cry but am just too exhausted. DD (2) has her molars coming through and is usually screaming like a banshee. I'm down with the flu and pee with every sneeze or cough. I have so much to get in order at home before the new baby arrives but just cannot get anything done which is making me panic! I cannot wait to stop weeing myself by accident. Cannot wait for the back pain to go away. Ahhhhh I need DD's teeth out and then this baby out too!

MooseBreath · 06/10/2022 23:14

@SUSB2016 I'm so glad it's not just me who keeps "peezing"! This summer was the worst with allergies and leaking at least 5 times per day. Your poor DD, teething is awful.

@MooseBreath how are you doing at 37 weeks? Bet you're counting down the days until your due date!!!

MooseBreath · 07/10/2022 08:45

@SUSB2016 I'm ok! Just playing the waiting game now. Any time, kid.

So jealous of you all closer to your due dates. I’m 31+3 and done!

greenerfingers · 07/10/2022 14:42

I feel you @PinkFizz1 ! 32 weeks here and it feels a life time away. I keep telling myself just make it to 37 weeks and then take it one day at a time 😅

OnAStarryNight · 07/10/2022 19:28

I've found my people! I am 35+2, and having regular growth scans due to the baby being large. It was measuring 38 weeks at 33 weeks, so you can imagine how I feel! Have another growth scan and consultant appt. next week to make a decision about delivery. I've already been told they're not keen for me to go to my due date, so looking like induction or c section (will opt for ELCS if possible) at 38 or 39 weeks. So pleased to be pregnant and having a baby, but these last few weeks have been tough. No sleep, and everything is such an effort! Looking forward to starting mat leave and relaxing a bit before he or she arrives!

Peasplease12 · 11/10/2022 21:29

Had my baby at 41+1, 3 days before my induction date. Really happy to be starting the rest of my life!

greenerfingers · 11/10/2022 22:18

Congratulations @Peasplease12 ! So happy for you Smile

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/10/2022 22:27

@greenerfingers Have you told midwife about the rib pain? I had it in my right ribs underneath from 22 weeks to 37 weeks with last pregnancy and ended up with severe preeclampsia. Looking back I think it may have possibly been HELLP syndrome so this pregnancy I'm making them aware and keeping an eye out for it. Not to worry you but the rib pain I had was horrible.

greenerfingers · 12/10/2022 00:01

I haven't mentioned it but I will next week. Thank you! I had it with my son and it was just his foot constantly kicking me. This time too I've noticed positioning makes a difference so I thought it's probably the same issue. The sonographer did say its foot is lodged in there again. Either I have a short torso or long babies lol.
