I am 31 weeks pregnant with DS2, due end of October. While the pregnancy has no complications (I'm lucky, I know), I had a rough first trimester and now the third trimester has gifted me with sciatica.

All I want to do is lay on the sofa and sleep. I can't though, because DS1 is 27 months and really pushing boundaries. I've got him watching way too much TV, but it's the only way to get through the past couple of weeks.

I hate being pregnant. I want to skip ahead to when DS2 is finally here, when I won't be quite so enormous, when hopefully the sciatica will subside, and when I will be able to properly parent DS1 again (and have cuddles with DS2).

Anyone with me?

My toddler is convinced now is the time to restart breast feeding. My massive heavy boobs must look inviting 🤦‍♀️.

Pregnancy is certainly harder when a) not in lockdown and b) you have an energetic toddler who needs all the love and engagement he deserves

26 weeks and decided to take 2 year old on holiday... alone!! 😫😫. Sciatica is really flaring up and soo tired of running after him. Also am huge this time so everything tires me out. Can't wait for this to be over. 14 weeks just seems so so far away.

I'm doing this next month!!! Tell me it's lovely...

MooseBreath · 27/08/2022 19:23

DH occasionally has DS, but not often. He works very long hours, so I'm most often on my own!

I take solace that I'm not taking DS on holiday. I hope it goes well for those of you attempting this!

I’m so glad I’ve found this thread 😂 I’m 37+5 FTM and I’m so done. Had HG until around 16 weeks hospitalised once due to dehydration and needed anti sickness intervention. Was told I have low PAPP A so have had serial scans to which the baby is all good putting weight on nicely but I’m fed up of the pains. My ankles hurt if I walk more that five minutes my pelvis hurts if I walk too much I’ve been getting so much lightning crotch and backache and just general uncomfortableness that no matter where I am I’m uncomfortable. I’m struggling to sleep because of the wonderful insomnia that turned up this week I’m just so ready for this pregnancy to be over and I’m so ready to see my baby

Bordesleyhills · 27/08/2022 21:05

31 weeks with baby transverse at mo. She’s wiggling around and worst symptom is motion sickness. I’m just 40 with an active 3 year old... nursery back on the 7th and I’m looking forward to it. I’m just pleased I’m well, have some energy ( yes I do get tired) , my blood pressure is good as our my blood results. Hopefully baby will turn and stay with head down- I really want to avoid a section if possible and I’m thankful I’m still pregnant after losing this babies twin and that she’s healthy.

greenerfingers · 28/08/2022 09:12

@roarfeckingroarr it is nice buttt be prepared for how tiring it is! I'm constantly running around making sure he isn't up to no good. A resort might have been a better idea me thinks but ah well!

Babyenroute · 28/08/2022 18:17

I went for a pregnancy massage today and it was SO relaxing. Definitely recommended if you need a boost and to unwind.

Keha · 28/08/2022 22:26

Hello, think I might have found my people. Currently 31 ish weeks (struggling to remember) with a 2.5 year old DD. Help.

Actually to be fair I am only just starting to get fed up and had quite an easy 2nd trimester, but not looking forward to next 2 months.

MooseBreath · 28/08/2022 23:13

@Keha Yes, 31 weeks pregnant with a 2.5 year old is a bloody nightmare. We are in the throes of toilet training because I am a masochist and DS wants me to get off the sofa and take him to the toilet every 5 minutes (where he proceeds to do nothing and then demands to flush the toilet and wash his hands that have touched nothing).

MooseBreath the frequency I pee atm I think me and your DS would be in synch Grin

Keha · 29/08/2022 09:13

@MooseBreath I have to finish work at 34 weeks as have lots of annual leave...so planning to smash out toilet training then. DD does quite like using a potty but not consistent. Also hoping to work on the DD coming into bed with me at about 4am most nights....

mightbeyesmightbeno · 30/08/2022 15:23

@Keha @MooseBreath I'm 32/33weeks and have just done potty training a couple of weeks ago with DD26months with the theory of it should be sunk in by the time the baby arrives and the thought of having to run like a mad women whenever she says "me done a wee wee" (she means she needs one but the word "done" puts fear and speed into me 😂).

It's gone fairly well, with only a small handful of accidents. And only using nappy for nap & nighttime now.

Just hoping it sticks and she doesn't regress!

mightbeyesmightbeno · 30/08/2022 15:24

Have had a day off work today and have literally done 1 hour of anything productive and the rest has been a sweet FA day. I feel sooo lazy. But have an hour left before I have to collect DD and therefore figure there is no point in starting anything!

fghj149 · 30/08/2022 20:51

I had a mmc back in November found out at 12 weeks, was incredibly lucky to fall pregnant again the next cycle but I do now feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER 😂 due next week.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 31/08/2022 10:07

@fghj149 oh wow, when you put it that way it must feel like a really long time for you bless you. Amazing that you got lucky the following month, but can imagine early pregnant for you was some crazzzzzyyyyyy hormones!

greenerfingers · 31/08/2022 10:18

Well done @mightbeyesmightbeno! Stick to your guns. I found the best thing when my little one tried regressing was to just leave the nappies off and he learnt they are NOT coming back and just cracked on. I find those that go back and forth usually have a longer time of it.

Sorry to hear of your initial loss @fghj149 and congratulations on this pregnancy. I feel bad now about complaining how slow my pregnancy is going!!

mightbeyesmightbeno · 31/08/2022 10:20

Thanks @greenerfingers that's good advice. I had a new changing mat delivered this morning and DD saw it and immediately took interest in it. I told her it was for "little sister" which she seemed to semi accept but still kept asking if she could get on it! Nope!

Similar here @fgfghj149 I had a 1st tri MC last year and then I conceived next cycle but it took +2 months to reappear. So I've basically been pregnant or dealing with related issues for 33 months by the time this baby arrives

No wonder I'm getting impatient 😅

Fortuny · 31/08/2022 10:56

13 months! Not 33 Blush

magnoliasinbloom · 31/08/2022 13:28

Urgh me, I'm 30 weeks, was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 26 weeks and still have 2 months of extremely restrictive eating (basically living on meat, salad and avocados), timed exercise and stressing about glucose readings to go. It's diet controlled, baby is measuring totally fine but it's so time consuming managing it! I don't even miss eating chocolate or other treats but I'd love to eat a banana or a sandwich! I had an infertility journey to get here too and adored being pregnant up until the end of the second trimester when I got my diagnosis but now hoping the last 2 months will fly!

MooseBreath · 31/08/2022 14:07

Feeling for all of you on here. Pregnancy can be so hard!

Hopingforbetterluck · 31/08/2022 14:38

19 weeks here and still shattered! After suffering three fairly late losses in a row I’m incredibly grateful to be pregnant again but can also moan with the best of them. It’s hard and tiring with a load of anxiety thrown in. I’ve spent 75 weeks of the last 2 years pregnant and fingers crossed still another 20 weeks of this pregnancy to go.
I’ve only got myself and one toddler to look after so I don’t know how those of you with more than one child do it and work full time as well - you really are super women.
I really need to potty train my 2.8 DS but just the thought of the energy and enthusiasm it will take makes me dread it 🤣. Was waiting for a burst of energy but it looks like that’s not coming so might as well get on with it next week. Wish me luck!

Hopingforbetterluck · 31/08/2022 14:40

Should say 19 weeks 🙈

MeltdownCentral1 · 31/08/2022 22:11

SO GLAD I found this thread. 30 weeks but I'm done. My friends are convinced the midwife has my dates wrong and I'll give birth early because I'm just so big and uncomfortable!!! Currently living on Gaviscon and dealing with DD's molars coming through- hour long meltdowns and crap sleep. Plus restless leg at night. My God I am so excited for this baby to exit my body!!!

I'm too lazy to toilet train mine at the moment. I kept putting it off saying I'd wait until summer and now I can't be bothered for exactly the reasons you state. My mum keeps telling me I'll regret having three in nappies but it's probably too late now. I hope yours takes to it soon!
