Got my first positive on Monday (22nd) and I am over the moon. This will be mine and my husbands first time, after trying for just over 5 months! I have PCOS so I am shook!!! I believe I am 4 weeks and 6 days and I find myself testing literally everyday just to check line progression. I have one more frer test and one more digital, will be testing frer on Wednesday and hoping for a dye stealer and then a digital towards the end of the week and hopefully it will be 3+, after that no more testing!! I have my first midwife appointment booked for the 22nd and I've booked my private early scan for that same day. I'll be just over 8 weeks at that point. Hoping everything goes well 🤞🏾🤞🏾, and sending positive vibes to all those who are pregnant too ❤️❤️

Hello, hoping I can join. Had my positive yesterday and saying 2-3 weeks. I make that due second week of May. How is everyone feeling? I have constant very mild tummy ache x

Lisabrown88 · 29/08/2022 07:01

Hi I would like to join the thread! I had a BFP after trying for over 3yrs with PCOS, 1 miscarriage and 3 failed IVF cycles. This was a FET with 2 embryos transferred. I expect to be due first week in May 2023, so excited however I keep worrying something bad is about to happen. I had light bleeding for a few mins on 11dpt and on 12dpt i had some brown discharge, doctor said to increase pessaries to 4 a day. Does anyone have similar issue

bossgirl94 · 29/08/2022 08:12

Congratulations on the BFPs guys 🎉

Anyone else getting a lot of bloating? I normally wear quite tight fitting clothing and had to spend yesterday with my jeans button undone 😩 is this life now?

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 08:48

@bossgirl94 yes, so much bloating. To the point that DH said it already looks like a pregnant belly 🤣 I've been sticking with yoga pants and leggings over the past few days!

bossgirl94 · 29/08/2022 08:49

@Sunshine0987 I'm glad it's not just me. Definitely going to have to invest in some lounge clothing. Don't even know what I'm going to wear to the office tomorrow 😩😂

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 08:51

@roorooA congratulations! I'm about a week ahead of you and feeling OK. Quite hungry and a very gurgly stomach. No real nausea just yet so I'm making the most of eating big nutritious meals in case it kicks in soon!

Yes!! My leggings feel tight over my stomach now, I've had to order some new ones on ASOS. I work in IT so I don't have a set uniform, so I'll be living in jumpers and leggings in the office from tomorrow lol.

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 08:53

@bossgirl94 do you have any stretchy dresses or skirts and tights? Maybe you'll be able to get away with looking like you ate a lot over the bank holiday weekend 😉 Seriously though, I think it's probably way more obvious to us than to anyone else because we know there's a reason!

Leanne053 · 29/08/2022 08:53

@bossgirl94 @Sunshine0987 my bloating is ridiculous especially last night! I'm the same usually wear skinny jeans etc but not happening at the moment! We aren't planning on telling anyone until 12 week scan but at this rate it'll be common knowledge well before then🧐

hulahoopqueen · 29/08/2022 08:56

@Sunshine0987 very jealous! Nausea has well and truly kicked in over here and it's anything beige any time I can manage it 😅

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 08:59

@Leanne053 @bossgirl94 I also live in skinny jeans but WFH so can get away with it a bit more at work. But I did see that you can get belly bands to go over your jeans/trousers to hold them up while they're undone and then the material looks like you have a tank top underneath your main top so that could be a good option!

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 09:01

@hulahoopqueen oh no! Hope you don't feel awful for too long. I'm sure it's coming for me at some point in the next couple of weeks!

bossgirl94 · 29/08/2022 09:03

@Leanne053 it's so annoying I'm tiny so it's going to be obvious. I'm just gonna have to wear jumpers and hope for colder weather.

@hulahoopqueen I've been feeling nauseous as well but it comes and goes and doesn't seem to be in the morning. So much for it being called morning sickness.

Anyone else been more confused lately and forgetful?

Leanne053 · 29/08/2022 09:41

@bossgirl94 yeah I'm so pleased we heading towards winter and not the other way round 😂😂

roorooA · 29/08/2022 10:06

@Sunshine0987 that sounds like the best plan. FlowersI am hoping this is just temporary! Last pregnancy I had sickness until about 36 weeks Confused

hulahoopqueen · 29/08/2022 10:14

@bossgirl94 ha, tell me about it! I've been snacking on and off as I can manage it and it's been better for it tbh.
Also yes to the confusion! I can't get to the end of sentences as I forget the words, and DH can tell me something to my face and I will have forgotten it within literal seconds.
@Sunshine0987 got everything crossed for you that it stays away!

dobby13 · 29/08/2022 10:56

Good morning all! A huge welcome to everyone who has recently joined.

Currently at 4wks 4days - got some shortness of breath, fatigue (so tired all of the time) and my body feels like weak/shaky. Feeling quite lucky on the nausea front - I feel a bit queasy but only for short periods of time!

Who's decided on an early scan? Think we are going to book in for end of Sept around the 8/9 week mark.

TTCourfirst · 29/08/2022 10:56

Hi Ladies! I got my bfp a few days ago and I’m due May 2023. This is our second time being pregnant, we lost twins at 9 weeks in April this year 😥

But my symptoms with the twins were constant from 7dpo. I had sore boobs at 8dpo this time around and got my bfp, I’m now 10dpo and my sore boobs have gone. Now I’m worried about another loss

Lisabrown88 · 29/08/2022 11:23

@dobby13 we have the exact same timeline! :) im 4wks 4days too! My first positive pregnancy!

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 14:01

@dobby13 @Lisabrown88 I am also 4 weeks 4 days! Will be interesting to see how accurate our dates are after scans 🙂

On the symptom front I'm pretty tired and having an afternoon nap helps. I'm also getting out of breath after doing pretty normal things that wouldn't usually exhaust me (like walking up the stairs haha).

I thought I wanted to get an early scan but now I'm not sure if I want to or if it's going to stress me out more!

Lisabrown88 · 29/08/2022 18:55

@Sunshine0987 @dobby13 thats so cool we are exactly 4 weeks 4 days! :)

Yes ive also been having afternoon naps. Have you had any light pink or brown spotting? I had that over the last 2 days and my doctor told me to increase my progesterone. Mine was an IVF cycle so need the added progesterone.

You can decide about the early scan closer to the time I guess. I will be doing an early scan because its IVF, also I am super anxious! Im still testing to check when it gets to +3weeks on clearblue!

Is this your first pregnancy?

Sunshine0987 · 29/08/2022 21:16

@Lisabrown88 ahh yes that makes sense to have an early scan, hope it all goes well for you 🙂

Yes this is my first so no idea what to expect! No spotting or cramps at all so far and symptoms are manageable at the moment. I'm 30 so not super old and no other health issues that I'm aware of so I don't think there's a massive need for me to have an early scan. I might make a decision towards the end of next week.

The one thing I'm hesitating about is telling our parents - this will be first grandchild for both sets and I know they'll be over the moon but I'm reluctant for them to get excited before we've checked everything is OK! They don't live nearby so will next be seeing them at the end of September and will probably tell them then.

rubygiz · 30/08/2022 06:34
