Hi guys. Can I ask what a frer is. This is my fourth but I’ve not heard of it. I live in the uk though so things are different here

Flowersflowers121 · 24/08/2022 07:56

Hiii, I think most of us are UK (correct me if I'm wrong, guys!)
FRER is a First Response Early Result test xxx

It's the clearblue advance fertility monitor. Gifted by someone who used it successfully and who decided their newborn needed a friend. Fell first cycle so think it did the job 🤣

Flowersflowers121 · 24/08/2022 08:33

Hahaha wow! Amazing. Little drinking buddy on the way hehe xxx

Hi how's everyone feeling? Congratulations to all the new BFPs too - so many May babies!!

I'm 2 days past AF now, and cheapie tests getting stronger. Nausea has kicked in as has my hormones! Midwife booked via local hospital for 8 weeks booking in appointment & Having an early private scan booked the week at 6/7 weeks.

Hope everyone is alright and feeling super positive as we can do 😊😊 such a tricky first few weeks isn't it!

Xx

BusinessMum22 · 24/08/2022 08:49

Congratulations all I'm due on AF Friday thinking of going getting another test.

First response 6 day early on Monday morning was negative but all the signs are there so I don't know what to do

Theowlwhowasafraid · 24/08/2022 08:54

Hi can I join? I got my BFP yesterday, baby #2! DD is one next month so will have 2 under 2!please tell me I’m not crazy lol

Congratulations! Not mad at all! I have a 13 month old so think we'll have roughly a 21 month gap (all going well) 🤭

Theowlwhowasafraid · 24/08/2022 09:10

@86ash congratulations to you too! How are you feeling? I’ve got backache but that’s it atm, I had HG with my daughter so terrified for that again, it kicked in at 6 weeks so I’m making the most of a couple of weeks of no sickness all being well. I had quite a bit of spotting with my daughter too so I’m hoping I don’t this time around

Oh dear - I really hope it doesn't make an appearance this time for you, especially with a toddler to look after. I'm fine at the moment. I didn't have any symptoms at all with baby #1 which in turn made me super paranoid that nothing was in there so hoping it'll be the same and I can just live with the paranoia and all the private early scans!

Leanne053 · 24/08/2022 09:16

Even more BFP 😁 it's hard for me to determine what's pregnancy symptoms and what isn't at the moment because I am withdrawing from Venlafaxine (today is day 4 without) and that is making me feeling rough so I'm putting a lot down to that. I still have sore/sensitive nipples which I've had for 9 days now

catc7 · 24/08/2022 09:26

Congratulations all!

How long are you planning on testing for? I’m so paranoid I can’t stop and I’ve known for over a week now.

Also when are you planning on telling family? I’m struggling not telling anyone especially my mum! So nice to have this thread to talk about it though.

Leanne053 · 24/08/2022 09:36

@catc7 so I got two positives on Sunday and haven't tested again since and wasn't planning on really but I might buy some cheapies from eBay and keep testing if most people do?
I'm the same I desperately want to tell my mum (so far just me and my boyfriend know) but we have decided to wait until first scan if we can 😁😅!

tryingtryinggone · 24/08/2022 09:41

Can I join? Got my bfp yesterday on 11dpo but af not due until Friday so not sure it’ll feel real until I miss that. I feel like I’ve got a bit of a sicky feeling in my throat but not sure if I’m just imagining it! This’ll be #2 for us and I’m so excited and anxious at the same time. Due date either 1st or 5th May depending where I look.
I love these threads as they’re so good for support! X

@Leanne053 @catc7 I'm planning to test again at 6 weeks before I self refer to the midwives. Just taking every day without bleeding at a time. I've told a few close friends and my boss at work, because I'll need the support if I miscarry again. Work also needs to make amendments to my job, I nearly text my boss at 0530 after peeing on a stick before I realised the time! 🤣

Leanne053 · 24/08/2022 10:08

@tryingtryinggone congratulations 😀😀😀

Leanne053 · 24/08/2022 10:11

@BellaBella38 ahh right I see good idea! Yeah I'm just plodding through each day and I guess I'll test again if I feel I need some reassurance!

sunshine1987 · 24/08/2022 10:16

Argh can I join guys, just got my BFP and very much in shock

Ahh congratulations everyone, loving seeing all these positives.

@catc7 I’m going to tell my mum and dad next week as we are going on holiday with them and they would notice me not drinking! Probably won’t tell the in laws until a week or two after that. Told family at five weeks with my son but have had two chemicals this time around so I’m a bit more weary.

Charl881 · 24/08/2022 10:25

@Leanne053 good luck with that. I stopped Venlafaxine a few years ago and it was so hard but worth it when done!

Charl881 · 24/08/2022 10:28

I’ve been testing every day because o have a load of cheapies and I like seeing the line after trying for so long! Ordering some more weeks indicator ones on Friday to do and I will stop once I get 3+ on there.

catc7 · 24/08/2022 10:45

We’re telling parents and my sisters in a few weeks when we see them face to face and then will try to hold out to 12 weeks. I might have to tell my boss if symptoms are bad but she’s got a 3 year old so should understand!

isitaline97 · 24/08/2022 11:06

Can I join, got my positive this morning! 🥰 can't believe it! Our first baby. Due date possibly May 7th, just after my birthday!

And hello @Flowersflowers121 how nice we can move to this group together!!
