My boobs haven't been sore last night/this morning so I'm paranoid. I do know it's irrational but sometimes hard to reign in!

I’m trying to decide when to have my early scan…. Can do either next Wednesday when I’ll be at least seven weeks by my dates, or the following Sunday when I’ll be at least eight weeks. I feel like an 8 week + scan will be more reassuring, but it’s four days longer to wait!

Go for Sunday! Hopefully there will be more to see, and you can have a nice day pottering about without worrying about work on a weekday.

Charl881 · 06/09/2022 12:48

@TheBeesKnee I’m actually off on the Wednesday while DS is in nursery whereas the Sunday I’ll have him to manage, but like you say hopefully more to see and will feel more confident if I’m measuring over eight weeks and there is a heartbeat.

I was gonna say go for Wednesday so we can be scan twins hahaha I'll be 7+2, so maybe a bit early but my friends wedding is on the Saturday and I'm bridesmaid so she will be expecting me to drink with her hahah i want to (hopefully) have a good scan result and then tell her before the wedding :)

I have booked another scan for Friday next week which I will be 6weeks 2 days to hopefully see a heartbeat, already don't know how NOT to drive myself insane next 10 days lol

Best luck to everyone who is having scans next few weeks!

H1994 · 06/09/2022 14:52

@Charl881 I've booked mine for 8+2 and I'm currently 3+6 so I have just over 4 more weeks to wait!

Singingloudforalltohear · 06/09/2022 16:21

I'm excited to hear about everyone's scans being booked and hearing how you all get on!

It's taking my mind off my own worries 😀

KeziaHatto · 06/09/2022 16:28

I've booked a private scan for 24th September. Will be 8 weeks 4 days if all continues to go okay. Feeling very tired, sore boobs, extreme sense of smell and slight nausea starting. 6 weeks tomorrow.

noorii · 06/09/2022 16:31

I've booked a private scan with window to the womb Manchester for the 22nd, I'll be 8 weeks and 2 days. I've had it booked since I found out at 4 weeks, time feels like it's going so slow 😭

CDR520 · 06/09/2022 17:42

Received a positive result this morning (4w exactly) after trying for 6 cycles. Been a little nauseous the past couple of days already and really hoping this doesn’t mean I’m in for a rough few months. I absolutely hate getting sick!

Flowersflowers121 · 06/09/2022 18:27

Congrats to all the new BFPs :)

For anyone else who is being sick, is anyone worried about throwing up their pregnancy vitamins?

OP posts:
mamazac · 06/09/2022 18:28

@Flowersflowers121 take your vitamins before bed! Then you should sleep while they're digesting and hopefully not throw them up x

Flowersflowers121 · 06/09/2022 18:31

Oooh that's a good idea!! Thank you :) I'll do that from tomorrow

I've missed taking mine for a couple of days because they make me feel worse 😵‍💫 I'm surviving off toast and fizzy drinks at the minute

Flowersflowers121 · 06/09/2022 19:55

@palmerita omg same! I literally have only eaten crisps and crackers hahaha so bad :( but anything else makes me sick

bossgirl94 · 06/09/2022 20:03

@palmerita omg I feel better now. I cried earlier because I missed the vitamin yesterday and thought I'd ruined it all. Silly of course but that's my hormonal brain right now

calipoppy · 06/09/2022 20:19

I'm still not feeling too sick yet but this time when I do I'm planning to try a vitamin mouth spray, I saw them in Holland and Barrett a while ago and thought they looked a lot easier to cope with than the awful huge pills!

Had a bit of a scare with pain on my right today so EPU got me in for a scan, saw a tiny heartbeat which was amazing! I'm measuring a few days behind which is a bit nerve wracking but just keeping fingers crossed that all will be ok.

Flowersflowers121 · 06/09/2022 20:25

Awwwwhh @calipoppy ! That's so exciting! Fingers crossed everything stays healthy xxx

@calipoppy im so pleased everything is ok and you saw a heartbeat! Lovely news for you. May I ask what sort of pain you had and how easy it was to get the EPU to see you? I’ve been having a dull ache pain low down on my left side on and off for a couple of days and wondering whether to call them. (TMI but I think it could also be trapped wind so don’t want to go for nothing but also obviously want to be cautious).

Doodle10 · 07/09/2022 07:20

@calipoppy @Charl881 ive also been having pains the last couple of days, seems to be worse at night. I’ve got a slight pink tinge to CM too. My husband says I should contact the gp but I am only 5+3 so I don’t know if there is anything they can do?

calipoppy · 07/09/2022 07:25

Thanks @Charl881 @Flowersflowers121 !

The pain came on really suddenly on Monday night and it was a sharp pain, definitely not cramps, possibly wind but didn't feel like it. I rang EPU in the evening and they said if it's still there in the morning call back and they'll get me in for a scan. They think the cause of the pain was actually my ovary as they can see I ovulated on the right which was interesting! Apparently pain from the ovulating ovary can happen for the first few weeks.

But @Charl881 and @Doodle10 I would just ring - even if they say they can't do anything you know where you stand and worrying just makes everything worse!

calipoppy · 07/09/2022 07:27

I should add I tried one hospital EPU first and they said I needed to be referred by the gp so I called the other one - called at 8am, scanned by 9.30! So if you don't have any luck with one maybe try another

Charl881 · 07/09/2022 07:44

@calipoppy thank you, I’ll give them a call today. I thought Monday was a one off so didn’t worry but odd that it started again last night and hasn’t gone. We have two near ish to us so I can try both.

Doodle10 · 07/09/2022 10:29

@calipoppy thank you! I rang the EPU and spoke to the nurse. She said that the pains and spotting is normal during early pregnancy and so asked me to just monitor things for the time being. She said if I get pain in my shoulder or heavy bleeding/bleeding for 7 days then to call back but for now to take some paracetamol and unless it doesn’t go away after then it should be ok. Finger crossed it is nothing to worry about!

BasiaY · 07/09/2022 10:40

Hello everyone! I thought I'd join this group - I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago - I'm due on the 7th of May (my birthday!) and I'm 5+3 today. So far symptoms coming and going - I actually felt worst at the beginning of week 4, then quite well, and starting to feel ill again now. My biggest problem so far has been sleeping - I wake up at 3-4am and stay awake for the rest of the day, and keep having really fast heartbeat at night. Apparently fairly common but still freaks me out!!
