@OttilieKnackered Wohoo yes a dye stealer ❤️ how far along are you now?

OttilieKnackered · 17/08/2022 12:21

5+5. But have had waning symptoms and therefore panic!

Skylark1990 · 17/08/2022 12:57

Thanks @mummatara 🥰 I waited till 6 weeks this time to do the 3+ test, ideally prevent any panic!

@OttilieKnackered lovely dye stealer there!

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 13:04

@Skylark1990 I've been giving a 4week prescription of progesterone atm, GP wants me to go back at 8w to see how it's going and said they'll prescribe more then and to discuss also putting me on low dose aspirin or heparin which apparently shouldn't only be taken from 8w-12w.

How long have you been put on progesterone for?

Wouldloveanother · 17/08/2022 13:07

Hi ladies! Well I phoned in sick today. I’m absolutely shattered, feel nauseous and knew I wouldn’t be able to make it through another day of work/bad night’s sleep only to do it all again tomorrow. I’ve just woken up having slept the morning away.

Does anyone have any cravings? I’ve totally gone off meat and hot/cooked food, all I fancy is citrussy sweet cold things - apples, lemonade, sweets, tangerines etc.

ncbn1 · 17/08/2022 13:18

@Wouldloveanother i didn’t know if it was usual to go off things so early, but as someone that loves chocolate and could eat it for every meal, I’ve completely gone off it!! Anything sweet I don’t want but fancy eating pastry all the time 😂

I haven't gone off anything or had any symptoms at all yet really 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ 4+4 today so still early days and test lines are getting darker still.
Can't remember when the nausea and massive boobs kicked in with my first 😂 anyone else with no real symptoms to speak of?

TheCakeIsALie18 · 17/08/2022 13:31

@Wouldloveanother @ncbn1 oooh interesting. I haven't gone off anything yet but a lot of people say that if you're craving sweet things you could be carrying a girl and if you're craving salty foods or savoury you could be carrying a boy. There have been a couple of research studies done on it, interesting read haha. ❤️

ncbn1 · 17/08/2022 13:34

@Tropicana1 its very weird isn’t it how the symptoms affect people differently, my best friend recently had a baby and had no idea she was pregnant until she began throwing up. I seem to have had lots of signs which made me test originally 😂
@TheCakeIsALie18 I’ve heard this but I presumed it wouldn’t kick in quite so early 😂😂

Wouldloveanother · 17/08/2022 13:38

I wouldn’t be surprised, I felt the same carrying DD! Just wanted cold/citrus/sweet things and lemonade!

Who is planning to find out the sex and who is planning to keep it a surprise? 💖 💙

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 13:39

@TheCakeIsALie18 I was team yellow when I had my DC1 in 2020 💛 I tested so many old wives tales, 18 in fact! And the result of that was: 9 out of 18 suggested I was having a boy and the other 9 out of 18 suggested I was having a girl 🤣

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 13:41

@Wouldloveanother if this one sticks I will be team yellow again 💛

ncbn1 · 17/08/2022 13:43

@Wouldloveanother I think me and OH will want to know but hope to keep a secret from friends and family! But I think the excitement might take over 😂

TheCakeIsALie18 · 17/08/2022 13:45

😂😂 funny how it's exactly 50/50 @Margo34 lol

I still haven't decided whether I want to find out the gender.... I want a girl so bad that I worry if we are having a boy I'd be disappointed 😂❤️ xxx

mummatara · 17/08/2022 13:51

@TheCakeIsALie18 @ncbn1 I completely went off any sweets or chocolate with my first and I live off chocolate normally and I had a boy. I'm 50/50 with this one atm like a bit of sweet and savoury

TheCakeIsALie18 · 17/08/2022 13:53

@mummatara I'm hoping I go off savoury and just want all the sweet things haha. Desperate for a girl 😂❤️

mummatara · 17/08/2022 13:53

@Wouldloveanother I'll be team yellow again unless DH wants to find out. It was my choice first time round so I've let him have the choice this time so far he's team yellow 💛 but he does have a while to change his mind 😂

mummatara · 17/08/2022 13:58

@TheCakeIsALie18 interestingly the pregnancy I lost all I wanted was sweets and chocolate and I often wonder if it was a girl because it was so different from the first.

mummatara · 17/08/2022 14:00

@TheCakeIsALie18 also with my first I wanted a girl because I thought I'd be rubbish at being a boy mum but I love it he's so funny 😂

TheCakeIsALie18 · 17/08/2022 14:06

@mummatara I'm sure having a boy would be fine haha but I have such an amazing relationship with my mum and I would love that with my own daughter ❤️ xxx

Chocolat · 17/08/2022 14:06

I have also gone off sweet food and I used to have a huge sweet tooth! Thought it would be good to prevent me gaining too much weight but at the same time I’ll happily eat plenty of bread, salty butter, pastry and crisps etc 😂

Newlypreg22 · 17/08/2022 14:07

I've just taken a clear blue digital test and had the result 2-3 weeks. So I think I’ll be due April 23 but I’ve been really confusing myself with it all!

I have absolutely no idea when my last period was!

I know they say about adding two weeks, so would this put me as conceiving 4-5 weeks ago? So beginning of August would be too soon and beginning of July too early? Somewhere in the middle? I’m feeling nauseous and very much pregnant so struggling to believe it could have been just 2 weeks since conception?!

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 14:18

I also had gender worries but felt that if I knew the gender before baby arrives and it wasn't the gender I'd hoped, then I'd have 20 weeks to be unhappy if it wasn't the gender I wanted and it might impact on bonding once baby was born. On the other hand, not knowing, I could um and ahh for the full pregnancy about gender and once baby arrived, there wouldn't be time to feel unhappy with the gender because I'd be distracted by having a newborn and would bond better as a result. That was part of my reasons for not finding out, if that makes sense?

Wouldloveanother · 17/08/2022 14:31

I don’t really have a preference about the sex, although I suspect it’s another girl just because of similar cravings etc. But far too early to say really! DD says she wants 2 brothers but she’s unlikely to get that wish 😂
